Here's my 2 cents:…read more Pros: new studio is gorgeous and extremely clean Pro: organic products, seems to be state of the art equipment Pro: gentle touch Con: Too much talking! -- I would have preferred the education either before or after the appointment, but you get a pre and post consult. Plus during the entire facial she continued to explain not only which products she was applying, but repeated assurances that she only uses top of the line plant based products-must have heard this at least 50 x that her goal was to educate me about skin care and recommend the best products that only she has. There were maybe 2 minutes during the entire appointment in which she wasn't talking. I appreciate the education but I also get facials done for relaxation and pampering. This was hard to do when she was talking the entire time about how great her facials are. She also does a post-service consult on which products I could purchase if I so desired. My entire appointment took almost 2 hours. Con: Price! - She was informed I was using a Groupon for the service at the time of booking, when the facial was over I reminded her again that I was a Groupon customer. She stated "Oh its been so long let me look at the instructions on how to redeem." She then asked me to look over the paper and "in particular pay attention to the yellow highlight". The highlighted portion had to do with suggestions on how to tip. Something to the effect of "Groupon customers must tip 15-20% of the cost of service pre-groupon." She informed me the regular price on the facial is upwards 100. I ended up leaving her a 20$ tip and she did not even acknowledge my request if she could make change-I felt this was extremely bad taste. Aftermath: My skin does seem a bit clearer, but not astonishingly so. I agree with Sheetal that this is not an overnight process and so I will continue getting regular facials and upping my skincare game, but will do so somewhere else.
