Kristi is out of this world good at what she does. Love their specials. This was the first facial where I truly felt like my skin issues were addressed and I left looking like a renewed person. Booked the Fall Spa Package w Claudia on the phone. Upon arrival was greeted by Frank, checked in and off to the room I went. Frank asked me what was I looking for in my massage today? I said relaxation and he said he had just the right thing for that and let me smell some oil they use and said it's even better once applied. Smelled wonderful by the way! He told me to dress down to my comfort level, cover with the covers and he would be back shortly. Once he returned, he began my session which was good, however not Claudia who I booked with and was very disappointed that I did not receive the Fall Spa Pkg I mentioned over the phone. Therefore, I missed out on the pumpkin scents/massage and facial. It was a birthday treat to myself that I was thoroughly looking forward to. All in all it was a good massage but not what I booked and I prefer no talking while getting my massage so I can relax. 3 strikes on my 1st visit so not sure if I'll try again and with either Claudia or Kristi with hopes of total relaxation and get what I make my appt for. read more

This is my second time here. First time I did a couples massage & facial with a girl friend. $140. We had champagne, a robe and our masseuses were Rachel and Kristina. We had a fabulous time. You do strip down to the bones so be prepared. I absolutely love a good facial! The first time I had a great cbd salt scrub and facial. This time I had the spring special massage and facial $100 for 90 minutes with Maria Claudia. Very quiet sweet woman. But very good at her job. My husband booked it for my Mother's Day. I felt relaxed, I felt fabulous. Afterwards this time I was not offered to clean up in the bathroom like last time. Not a big deal though. Overall I had a great massage and facial. I was gifted my visit by a friend and I had such an absolute wonderful day. I have two young children and I don't pamper myself often because I'm always busy. I got the Refresh package and had a massage by Frank and a body scrub and facial by Kristi. The building itself is so cozy and cute. I love their furniture and decorations. Everyone is so welcoming. Frank is amazing at massages. He is great at creating a relaxing atmosphere for every sense- classical piano music to listen to, peppermint scent, perfect dim to lights, etc.. I felt like he really went above and beyond to make it a full experience. I can't even begin to say how great my massage was! It was the perfect mix of hard pressure where I was sore from working out and relaxing massage in other areas. He also massaged my face and had me breath in peppermint when I flipped over, which was a great touch. When my massage ended, I felt like I could have fallen asleep for 8 hours! Next I hAd the body scrub with Kristi. It was a perfect way to end the massage. My facial was delightful. I have long hair and it is so nice to have my scalp, neck, and face massaged. I highly recommend The Rich Rose Spa. I moved to Richmond 2 years ago and was looking for a spa close to my house to get facials and massages. I was impressed with Kristi the first time I got a massage and facial and I have been coming back regularly since then. I learned later on that she was the owner if this cute quaint spa. She hires professionals that are good at what they do. She recently added a Reiki service done by Rehana. I had never tried it, but have gotten really good results with it and I'm grateful to have a place to get pampered and healed at. Check this place out!! read more

Frank gave me the very best massage today. I just went in to have a relaxing massage to help lower my blood pressure. I never dreamed he could zone in on my back and alleviate an old, constant pain. He is very knowledgeable of the human body. Even though he gave me a deeper massage in that one area in my lower back, it was not a hard pressure as much as a trained touch familiar with the problem and how to "release the pain." I am an older lady that allowed "a man" to give me a massage. Frank was very respectful and helpful. I have to say that this massage was much more effective than my chiropractor. I came to this location with very high expectations since I have read many great reviews. I am not pleased because my husband had a terrible experience. Claudia did an amazing job with my massage and facial, that is why I at least want to give this location 2 stars. On the other hand, my husband had Kristi for his massage and facial and he was not happy. Firstly, he had requested light pressure on his back and she added extreme pressure. His back is sore and on some areas of his back seem like they're going to bruise. We also had a back and feet scrub, and she did not bother to remove the scrub off his back and feet. The scrub was all over him as if he had poured over himself. We had to get towels afterwards to remove the excess scrub. She also scrubbed so hard that his feet and back are irritated.Then when it came to the facial, she aggressively rubbed the towel on my husband's face and was extremely harsh at giving him a scalp massage. It was so bad that my husband's hair was knotted and his hair is not even that long. I rarely give such reviews but in this case, we want to express our concern. We have been to many massages locations in Houston and we have never had such a terrible experience. We even felt as if we had done something to offend the therapist. read more
