stumbled across this place looking for tapas and it was amazing. We got the tuna tataki and cod croquettes and it was so great! def coming back here

This restaurant had an exceptional atmosphere! Such a neat place restaurant. We went for tapas and sangria. The sirloin steak, cod fritters, and tomato bread were all tasty, but the mushroom "risotto" left much to be desired. It tasted more like rice with a slight hint of mushroom and grated Parmesan cheese. Would 10/10 recommend this place for atmosphere though. A neat little find!

Love this place. It was only a minute walk from the apt we stayed in, so we kept coming back. The food is delicious and the staff is really friendly and their english is really good. They have a big seating area, and the bathrooms are pretty decent. I really recommend the chicken quesadillas, they were super tasty. I also liked the shrimps and the patatas bravas were very crispy!! The sangria was also really good with lots of different fruits.

La Luna is a very charming tapas bar. We had the most delicious Cod croquettes with red pepper alioli, Greek salad with zatziki sauce, and fried baby squid with citrus sauce. It's definitely worth stopping in!

Long slow paced evening of tapas and sangria. Server was attentive but not intrusive and was very patient with our 3 courses. The noise level was low enough for conversation, but still had a very active vibe. Lots of patrons coming in and out and a fun energetic vibe and crowd. The food was above average, but the duck was a bit dry and the glass of Sangria was much sweeter than normal with a lot of undissolved sugar at the bottom of the glass. The steak and jamon were fantastic though.

Chicken quesadilla without the wrap - yum!

Wednesday night at 7:30 - no wait, the most amazing sangria and delicious tapas! The gluten free options are ok but they made their Mexican chicken quesadilla without the wrap for me and it was spectacular! Really reasonably priced - two of us shared 3 plates and we were more than full. Great vibe too!

One of the favorites we stumbled upon! We had almost everything on the tapas menus but the best was the steak, and papayas bravas! Delish!

This place is definitely off the path in the Gothic Quarter and it does not have a tourist vibe at all.

Do expect a wait time or enter their queue when it opens to expedite that process. We started there one night and there was a long line out the door. We decided not to wait as it was already midnight (late for us!) and come back the next night. I'm glad we did, because there was minimal line and we entered the queue before anyone else, so we were able to enter rather quickly. It was the coolest speakeasy vibe and fun ambiance. We sat at the bar and quickly observed the menu. The menu was lit up, which I thought was pretty unique. It took a little bit of time for the server to assist us, but it was evident she was super busy. My drink came in a skull with a "brain" that was actually edible sorbet. It was vodka and not too strong but also not too sweet. Honestly, I wish I had more! My husband ordered somewhat of an old fashion that he said was the best he ever had. Highly recommend if you're in Barcelona!

If you are into novelty cocktail bars, Paradiso is definitely a great place to check out! I arrived…read morearound 7pm to a decently sized line; my party of 2 didn't get seated until 30-45 minutes afterwards. I did read that there would be QR code for a virtual queue, but we didn't see that option and just ended up waiting in line ourselves. I was worried Paradiso would have a snobby vibe to it, since it is ranked #4 in the world, but that wasn't the case at all! The servers were very friendly and the cocktails were genuinely delicious. There's also a sense of theatre when they present you with their specialty cocktails. For example, I ordered the Gravity cocktail (reminiscent of an espresso martini), and our server brought it in an interesting bowl meant to mimic a black hole and also gave a little background story to the cocktail. They provide menus in Spanish, Catalan, and English. Servers also speak English as well, so communication is not an issue. The interior is gorgeous and and had great moody lighting, there was also a great playlist on with classic pop songs. Their cocktail menu is unique and as previously mentioned, I especially loved their presentation. Most of their drinks are served in some funky cup or bowl, it was so fun seeing the servers bring out other cocktails to other tables. Overall, a 5/5 experience for me!

Really enjoyed this bar and we can see why it's been named in the top 50 bars…read more The bartender was really engaging with the people which we enjoyed. The drinks were 8/10 The ambiance was generic but we had a good time. Definitely recommend trying it.

Wow did we want to give this place 5 stars…read more The bartenders were great and welcoming and the decor was very cool. It is a pleasant place to be physically. All of the cocktails we tried were excellent (we had two more not featured on photos here). We went Sunday 4/19 around open (5pm ish until 7:30 ish). However, our experience was sort of ruined when a female employee came over and chided my wife and two other American patrons we were talking to for being too loud. They weren't being particularly loud and at this point we were the only four people sitting at the bar itself. She was not a bartender (at that time at least) and she completely ruined our vibe with this complaint. She had been eyeing one of the other American patrons we had been talking to before she came over and confronted my wife after she laughed. The bar tenders didn't seem to be aware this happened and when we were closing out they remarked they didn't think we had been loud and that they like their guests to have fun. This female employee apparently didn't get the memo! We sense that perhaps she just dislikes Americans, which would be rich for working at an establishment like this! She also had no issues when a dog other guests brought in barked loudly multiple times, each time silencing the entire bar because the barks were so booming. The other American couple felt the same way -- the stern talking to just ruined the experience for all four of us. So... great spot but our experience was unnecessarily tarnished by a jerk employee!!!
