The beginning of Oris paella de pollo presentation. It tasted fabulous.

Our dinner at Arrosseria Las Arenas was wonderful. We were just walking by and stopped to look at their menu. Not sure if we wanted to try it or not, a friendly greeter convinced us to stay. Ori was the best and we are so glad we stayed! He was so welcoming and knowledgeable. He made us laugh and was so personable. What a great employee for this restaurant. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful with trees, greenery and lights all around even on the ceiling. Our first tapas experience hit the spot. Our favorite was the tortilla de patatas and patatas bravas. The paella de pollo was presented by Ori (not just served on our table) and was delicious. The kids loved the steak! Thank you Ori for making our first culinary experience in Spain a wonderfully happy one that made our bellies full. We wish you all the best from Los Angeles to you.

Much less touristy than expected, we were there in n a Saturday in Sept. this has great reviews on trip advisor so we stopped in. It was ok. The service was prompt and English can be used if needed- so two big tourist pluses. Food was just ok. We got the shrimp salad, potato omlette {which was pretty yummy} , heuvos Jamon dish, and dos paellas. There is a pay option where all of the seafood is already peeled I would say go for that one make it a little easier as it's the same dish as the one that's not peeled. Good taste and quantity - wasn't blown away but was good. The seating area and door is super cute and the AC works well if you are looking for some air on a hot day. We sat on the outside patio area because there was a nice breeze.

I was extremely disappointed by this restaurant, which I'm surprised based on what others had said. The sangria was the best part. We ordered appetizers chorizo and nachos. The chorizo had hair in it. The nachos did not have enough cheese and were not loaded with the toppings. For the dinner we all ordered different types of steaks. We all said medium-rare or medium and got well done. It was hard to cut and super chewy. I did not like the taste either. I would avoid this place.

Tourist trap. Large menu with an assortment of different foods. The mixed paella was clearly frozen and most of it was burnt onto the pan. Only a very thin layer of paella. The seafood was laughable - 2 tiny clams, mussel shells that cracked easily. The shrimp was small. One piece of chicken (dark meat) with bone. The tomato and cheese salad was good. House-made meatballs were okay. These two were definitely better than the mixed paella. The sangria drinks were alright.

Really nice paella place with the option to do one person paella. That is difficult to find across Barcelona and quality was good. Delicious sangria. We got other plates that were nice complement to the paella: huevos rotos, croquetas, and half rotisserie chicken. The latter was especially flavorful. I didn't like the pear with ricotta cheese we ordered but coffee was good.

Great service, amazing food, fabulous environment. We ordered the fried olives, chicken paella and skirt steak everything was amazing. Highly recommended if in Barcelona.

Best Tapas & Paella i'm Barcelona so far! I found this place when looking for Tapas and Paella that both me and my gluten free wife would enjoy. This by far has been both of our favorite so far. For starters we were pleasantly surprised they had gluten free meat balls / for those that don't care, you should :-) It meant no fillers like bread crumbs and all meat! The croquettes were ok point as were the potatoes and steak. The paella was our favorite all around. They don't have gluten free bread and we didn't care as the options were great. If you are severely allergic then this place is not for you as cross contamination would make it not worth while for you. however , all around highly recommend this place!

Very flavorful and fast experience. Oxtail and mashed potatoes 10/10: the oxtail meet is so tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes pair so well with the oxtail. Mushroom, steak, and egg yolk 9/10: soo flavorful and balance of veggies and protein. Amazing textures and flavors. Sparkling sangria: 8/10 I don't normally live the taste of alcohol but this was great. Not tooooo strong and if tastes pretty good if you mix it with the orange juice. Fresh orange juice: 10/10 so tangy and delicious. I can't recommend it enough. Patatas bravas: 9/10 solid no complaints! Dessert Tapas: - bread dessert (Tarija): 11/10 amazing dessert that is creamy, cameralized, and has a mochi like texture. This fried chewy dessert is not too sweet and such an affordable price. - coconut pudding 9/10 solid and refreshing if you like flan - bread, chocolate oil, salt 7/10: I live the complex flavors. The chocolate mousse was light and the bread to mousse ratio was perfect. It's a smaller dessert tho I wouldn't recommend it if ur sharing. Service: amazing! Staff I'm everywhere so it was very easy to order more food. Also we were sitting buy the area where they made dessert and they allowed me to record them making it!! The feta cheese was absolutely disgusting, it tasted like imitation rubber cheese. - The "Al Ajillo" Style Shrimps (GAMBES AMB ALLADA) had a very strange flavor within it, which overwhelmed the garlic flavors. - The Beef Tenderloin (FILET VEDELLA), she had to spit 1/4 of it out because it was too tough. - Everything was overpriced there for the value. If you are in the area DO NOT waste your time nor money dining here!!!

Dinner at 6p please…read more What I wasn't as hungry so I went with a couple of tapas. I got the bravas patatas, peppers, croquettes and calamari. I am a sauce on the side person and so I thought the sauce on the potatoes was too much.. but once I scraped off majority of it, the potatoes were really good, I wasn't that much of a fan of the sauce. The peppers were really good, not too oily, not spicy at all, just right. I was not that much of a fan of the croquettes, it was a little too ham taste for me. The calamari was the best part for me! I really liked this. Environment Located steps from the Hampton hotel, it was very convenient for food around the area since the options could be slim since this is not in the city center. I love that they were opened during the typical closed hours, so I was able to get dinner at 6 or 7pm. There is outdoor seating and also indoor seating. Quite large space. Niceness of the staff Very nice staff - I was able to use my broken spanish. But they all spoke english and it was easy to get what I needed Dollar I thought there were all decently priced. The total for the 4 dishes was like 40 some Euro Yes I would def return here for dinner if I am staying in the area again.

They said the food was delicious and it was very close to our hotel near the Place d'Espanya, so we gave it a try. Absolutely awesome! My friend and I ordered the mixed paella for two (18 Euros per person) and it probably could've fed four! It was chock full of different types of seafood and chicken chunks. The whole dish was flavorful and satisfied like a warm blanket on a freezing night! The young lady waitperson was so friendly and we laughed as we tried to communicate with each other (she with no English and me with no Spanish). After we were stuffed to the gills, she brought us a complimentary plate of 4 pieces of olive oil cake and two glasses of a very tart brightly colored yellow liqueur that my friend said had a definite kick. When I told our waitperson that I don't drink alcohol, she brought me a glass of the same fruity base liquid sans the alcohol, which I found to be very tart and very pleasing on the palate! When I finished it, the young lady offered me more, but there was no way for me to fit anything else into my completely full satisfied belly! This place might look touristy with the menu posted at the door and its plastic covered menu inside, but the food and staff are wonderful. Don't let your prejudices keep you from enoying the amazing place. Might be a bit pricier, too, since it's close to the plaza and hotels, but it's worth it! The charm of this restaurant was a highlight of our day; made for a wonderful end of a very active day of sightseeing in Barcelona!

There's a restaurant side as well as a "outdoor seating" area and we were seated in the outdoor seating area. There are quite a few tables outside and was pretty decent looking. There are English menus here, which is a plus! We looked around and since we were hungry, we ordered a bunch of things to share. Ordering and receiving the foods were pretty quick, which was great since we were hungry! The meat dish was so cheap which made us believe that it was a small portion, so we ordered some croquettes, mussels, and ham and fries. Well, the meat dish is NOT a small portion! The meat came with chicken drum, beef short ribs, and pork, as well as some grilled veggies and potatoes. That alone would have been enough food for us. However, beware that the meat doesn't really come with seasoning as it was really bland. It was simply grilled and served. The mussels were also simply cooked and were okay. The ham with fries were okay as well - the ham was really tough and hard to chew. The chicken and ham croquettes - please skip this. It was not good at all. The outside wasn't super crispy and the chicken was like a creamed chicken and it did not taste really good; the ham was a bit better, but not by much.
