I truly love this place, the workers, and the people. They're so kind and helpful. I definitely recommend the seasonal iced clove matcha get it while it lasts!

This place is always a go to when you're looking for a pastry, coffee, or even just a place to study or meet with friends. The crab dip bagels is always so flavorful and you can ask them to warm it up for you! They usually have new batches coming out so they're fresh. The smoked salmon on focaccia tastes so refreshing and the pickled onions add to it. I was a fan of the banana pudding. It was on the thicker side but I enjoyed it! Would get again

ordered the matcha latte, monkey bread, and one of their sandwiches. i recommend going early because they sold out of the crab tamago sando right when i walked in and i was so sad. the one i ordered was still very good, though. good place to study since it has lots of seating and great food. drinks were a little mid unfortunately.

While in the area I used my yelp and saw this. My fellow yelpie friends gave it good reviews recently. Its definitely larger then the Fells location with outdoor and indoor seating. Like the other location, pastries and sandwiches are all made on site. The price point is quite insane for a cafe in which I purchased a pre made tuna sandwich, cheesecake and a iced oatmilk lavender latte for a grand total of $27!! It was very busy with college students studying and a few others sitting inside. I was able to grab seating outside under the umbrellas as it was raining. My tuna salad sandwich was tasty but the bread a bit hard as it was sitting stacked up pre made. The cheesecake was okay and my latte needed to be remade as it was quite bitter. All in all, its not a lot to rave about especially with the high price point. I may return but its better options with cheaper price points.

La Maison is a great place for a pastry fix! But...be ready to wait in line if you go before 1pm, and don't go in set on one thing, because they might be sold out. This time I went with Strawberry Lavender Danish...highly recommend, good balance of flavors and the strawberries were fresh. Elote cornbread was a tasty savory surprise, it has fresh corn and crema-like topping with jalapeños inside. And banana bread is always a star, tasty crisp top and comes with a cinnamon butter. Honestly was happy with all 3, would definitely get them again. I also got a Rosemary Nutmeg coffee, which was tasty but nothing super unique. Let's be honest though, the pastries are the main characters here.

The absolute best bakery in Baltimore. Come and park on the side of the building. Ordered two pastries (blueberry muffin is the best I've tasted/ almond croissant), breakfast sandwich and the crab bagel. The TikTok famous Fresh MD Lump-Crab Meat, Stuffed Bagel, topped off with more Crab Meat, Old Bay®, cream cheese, corn & Cheddar Cheese is everything you think it is. Don't skip on the drinks. Download a podcast or bring your laptop and enjoy.

I was so excited to try this new trendy coffee shop by Cafe Dear Leon! The space is large with lots of plants, seating, and great ambiance. However, I did go on a Friday so it was VERY busy, it was hard to even grab a seat. I ordered the crab dip bagel and an iced oatmilk latte, and my friend got a hot matcha, an almond croissant, and a smores cookie. My crab bagel was pretty good, I had been dying to try it since it's so viral online. It was a bit lukewarm when I ate it though, and I did get a small piece of crab shell in one bite. The latte was insanely good and the espresso was not bitter at all. In terms of service, you wait in line to pick your food and then order your drink at the register. They give you your pastries right away, and then you have to go around to the espresso bar to wait for your drink. Service was very friendly but a bit slow. I was also shocked at how expensive everything was (over $20 for the crab bagel and latte). This is a great spot if you have a little extra money, want an extravagant pastry/coffee, and need a cute place to sit and do computer work.

Every pastry and drink we tried was delicious! Our favorites were the crab dip bagel and the chorizo torta sandwich. The morning kouign and monkey bread were also delicious! The line gets long on weekends but moves quickly. There is seating inside that gets filled up but turns over quickly and the staff are attentive and efficient!

Holy cow, the pastries here are INSANE! Soft and delicate, and the sandwiches are suuper filling. Came here with my friend to work on some assignments and ordered a bit more than we could chew. I will say finding solid seating here is tough, and it is packed tight. But it is handicap accessible, and gets some great light. It's right across the street from a wonderful consignment shop and Ottobar, which makes it an ideal place to grab a quick lil bev if there's an outdoor market happening. The hours here are a bit odd, but otherwise I think this is a great spot to get some work done if you don't mind loud, dense environments. I also appreciate the space heaters sprinkled about the seating area to ensure everyone gets some heat in this large hall. I can only hope they do something with that awesome firepit out front.

So this is awkward. This never happens to me. I'm at a loss for words. There is no description of this bakery that will describe how magical and incredible the food is. This is perhaps a bakery that one can only dream about. The second you walk in, you are transported to a hipster Paris perhaps? The flavor combinations are one of a kind. When I had no idea what to order, the server at the front led me in the right direction. ...but apparently not well enough because I went back twice to order more. Usually I can pick out some stand out pastries, but this time I really can't. Every bite of something I was like Phil Rosenthal dancing and making eyes of amazement. My husband was laughing at my reactions. Some of the jaw droppers I had the pleasure of tasting were the pistachio raspberry danish, crab sando, blueberry muffin, s'mores cookie, smoked salmon sando, and black sesame salted caramel latte. Last thought, there were not many kids there. Mine were the only ones there when I went, but I have bougie kids. They treated my kids with the upmost respect and excitement. They had them order like adults, asked them their favorites, and catered to them like they were the ones in charge. My little dessert connoisseurs were delighted.

The best bakery in the country may be Cafe Dear Leon. Their original location is small and always with a well-deserved line. This location is their second and very large. (It's inside the building of a popular butchery/deli that shut its doors.) Walk inside Tuesday-Saturday early because their pastries sell out quickly. Every single option is a good one, but I love their chocolate croissants and kouign and hazelnut focaccia. They also have a full coffee menu of drinks with Ceremony Coffee. Inside is a large space with lots of tables and free wi-fi.

Went on a Sunday morning at 10:30am. There was a line inside but moved quickly. It was packed inside so little seating however we were taking our food to go. The service was informative and not rushed when we had questions. We ordered the crab dip bagel, the yuzu brioche pastry and a flat white and classic latte with the maple cardamom syrup. All were good in flavor and taste. Would def go back to try some other items on the menu.

    Smoked Salmon on Everything Focaccia
    Salma C.

Fairly new (Opened Oct 2025), spacious, instagrammy, and inviting cafe/bakery created by the owners of Café Dear Leon! So happy they developed this location with a more expansive menu, ample seating, and the same delicious food and drinks. Went on a Sunday morning- be prepared to wait in line. Waited about 15-20 minutes but it was worth the wait! Tried a bit of everything from their menu like their famous Crab Dip Bagel, my favorite Crème Brûlée Tart, decadent Koginut Pumpkin Basque Cheesecake slice, Smoked Salmon Sandwich on Everything Focaccia, and washed it down with a Black Sesame Caramel Latte. Perfect sized pastries for sharing or eating throughout the week. The sandwich was phenomenal. My first time trying smoked salmon and the textures, flavors, and everything was perfect. Maybe just a tad bit salty that's all. The latte was good, but I expected more of a Black Sesame taste- I got mostly caramel though it's tasty. I wasn't impressed with the Crab Dip Bagel, but the the Crème Brûlée tart is perfect as always (sold at Café Dear Leon also). The basque cheesecake is rich and amazing-doesn't even require the pumpkin sauce on the side. Overall, I'd come again to try more of their items on their rotating monthly/seasonal menu. Be prepared for a wait or come early! Definitely worth the money and the calories.

I've recently started working in the area and they are supper close thus I decided to try them out…read more I was very excited when I saw it was Korean owned however their K-food section is only two items; Bulgogi Dupbap & the Bulgogi Sub. The rest of the menu is American stuff. I've as of now tried both of these and very content with the taste and filling of these two, the price is reasonable per the portion and yummyness($12.49) plus tax about $13.25. The only thing I would change a bit is making sure that the juice from the bulgogi doesn't soak the bread too much cuz then it's mushy. I like a crunchy texture to my subs, but the may be just my preference. Both the son and the mom are super nice, if you become a regular it's very nice to have people know what you want right away. The atmosphere is very warm and friendly. I hope that they can incorporate more korean food to their menu, at least 2 more that have a different protein so we have a bit more variety. Though I understand why the options for kfood are limited given the area's population. Things to keep in mind: - When you order let them know if you want it to go or to eat there. Nobody can read minds, but they will do their best to ask you prior to packaging to confirm. - It can get busy so sometimes transaction may take longer because people are multitasking. - - - Don't rip out the receipt, you might be taking the wrong copy. Wait for the cashier to hand it to you or simply ask. -If you have questions about a product, ask them and don't assume. Yes. There is a big menu and pamphlets available and they provide brief item description but if that's not clear, just ask. They also have prepackaged salads, fruit and a few sweet treats, along with MissVickies chips, and bottle drinks. It's a cafe so the basics. Overall, really nice experience. Tots recommended :3

Solid Experience, But I Miss the Old Owner…read more Café on the Square is a reliable spot with decent food and a cozy atmosphere. The service was good, and the dishes were tasty, but nothing that really stood out. That being said, I miss the old owner--there was something special about his presence that made every visit feel more welcoming and personal. I hope the new management keeps things moving in the right direction. I'll definitely return, but it's just not quite the same without the old vibe.

SHUT THE FLUFF UP! SO GOOOOD!!!…read more We were in Baltimore with a few hours to spare in the morning, so what to do?!? First thing that comes to mind is... crab for breakfast! Ok yelp, show me watcha gat!!! Oh, AND Open Early! Unfortunately, we have just a few options pop up (Wha?!? REALLY?!? It's Baltimore, aren't they famous for crab?!?), so we choose to hit Blue Moon Cafe! Yelp directions are on point and only street parking from what we can see. We brave the brisk chilly breeze of early May to get to the cafe... BRRRR!!! Inside motif has a dark theme to it and small patronage area. Per the lovely Nicki who greeted us, Blue has been on Food Network a few times... DDD, Best Things I Ever Ate & Destination FOOD... so settin' the bar HIGH from the start! Ok, okay I dig the confidence!! Menu is via QR code but Nicki, becuz she's fun, excitedly announces the recs to the newbies, which are Sweet Baby Jesus & Cap'n Crunch French Toast. Thanks for the heads up! Sweet Baby has lump Crab in the dish so that's a confident YES! for that, but I spy something more appealing than Cap'n Crunch... Let's EAT! SWEET BABY JESUS!: Wifey and I wanted crab and this was Blue's big gun! So YES! To The Dish! It may appear as a simple Hash Brown dish but it is so much GLORIOUS than that! To start, Hash browns are browned & crisped perfectly and then the angel's touch happens... lump crab (generous portion) with Old Bay Seasoning, fresh diced tomatoes, melty cheese, 2 over Medium eggs and homemade Hollandaise Sauce. HOLEY MOLEY! DEEE-LISH! Generous crab serving allows you to have crab with EVERY bite of this dish! Mmmmm :) Love the ooey gooey stretchy cheese! Love the runny eggs! And that Hollandaise?!?! LEGIT! This heavenly dish deserves all the hype! The only drawback was the dish got cold fast because of the cold weather outside I assume. By the time I finished my order, and got to helping Wifey, not as WOWzers compared to when it first dropped on our table. Now we know... eat fast when it's cold outside. lol SHUT THE FLUFF UP! FRENCH TOAST: Once I read "peanut butter" in its ingredients, no way I was passing this up! Buh Bye fan fave Cap'n Crunch, maybe next time lol. Officially, menu "says" it's a Pretzel encrusted French Toast, layered with chunky peanut butter, marshmallow fluff and Chocolate drizzle... allegedly. The chocolate drizzle was not present when the plate landed but generous melty smooth peanut butter completely covered the top of the marshmallow fluff. Sliced Granny Smith apples and thin pretzels also topped the dish, with a powdered sugar drizzle over the entire plate. I asked for extra peanut butter on the side just because no one ever puts enough for my liking lol. And whattya know?!? This newest iteration of the dish was FABULOUS! Did they run out of stuff? Who cares! The synergy these items had with each other just made an amazing bite each and every time. BOMB-alicious!!! I don't really like marshmallow but it wasn't a hindrance here. I devoured the entire thing. Compliments to the chef! ;) VERY EASY RECOMMENDATION! Definitely worth a visit and a return visit, as well! If it's cold outside, focus on eating not chit chatting lol ENJOY! :)

My husband and I recently dined at Blue Moon Cafe in Fells Point, Baltimore, and were disappointed…read moreby our experience. The issue began when my husband politely asked a question about a menu item because it appeared to be spelled "browns" rather than "hash browns." He simply wanted clarification regarding what the item was. The server asked him for context, and he explained that he was referring to the item as it appeared on the menu. She then replied, "Oh, now I have context. That's a hash brown." My husband explained that because of the way it was written, he wasn't sure what it meant and was only asking a question before ordering. At that point, the server's tone became noticeably louder, and she responded, "Well, I only work here. I didn't write the menu." We found this response unnecessarily defensive and dismissive. At no point was my husband criticizing the server or correcting her. He was simply trying to understand a menu item. Shortly afterward, a different server began assisting our table, which gave us the impression that the original server was upset by the interaction. When my husband placed his order, he specifically requested that the restaurant's "animal sauce" be served on the side. The menu does not explain what animal sauce is, so he wanted to try it separately before putting it on his meal. When the food arrived, the dish was completely covered in the sauce rather than having it on the side as requested. Afterward, we learned that the sauce is a mixture of ketchup and mayonnaise. My husband does not eat mayonnaise and ketchup on eggs, which is exactly why he requested the sauce on the side. Unfortunately, because of the uncomfortable interaction earlier, he did not feel comfortable asking for the dish to be corrected and simply tried to eat around it. The meal was not inexpensive, and because the sauce had been poured over most of the food, he was unable to enjoy it. Approximately 80% of his meal was left uneaten. We understand that mistakes happen and that restaurant environments can be busy. However, customers should be able to ask questions about menu items and make simple requests without feeling uncomfortable or concerned about how those requests will be received. Description of waitress: Caucasian Middle aged Heavy set Extremely loud voice Rude ( nice/nasty) We wanted to share this feedback because the interaction negatively impacted our dining experience and left us feeling unwelcome. We hope this feedback is received in the spirit intended so that future guests feel comfortable asking questions and making requests without concern.
