I've never had a bad meal here! I recently took my brother here to make him try the crab dip bagel, and t was just as good as I remembered. I liked my hot chocolate this time a little less than the wonderful yakiimo flat white I had the time before, but it was still delicious (and made the right way with real chocolate). The creme brulee tart was also delicious, and I loved the filling for the yuzu brioche but thought the dough itself wasn't as tender as it usually is. Hopefully just an off day for that one item; the rest was faultless! I'll always come here to try their new monthly specials (and then cave and buy my old favorites as well). A welcomed new 2nd edition of cafe dear Leon in Baltimore. This location is much bigger than the canton location. Has actual space to sit and enjoy your drinks and food and get a bit of work done. They do have outdoor space weather permitting. The service here is solid, warm and friendly and fast. The baked goods are as you'd expect from them. Not difference from the original spot; all fresh and delicious. Got a monkey bread and almond croissant which were delicious. Got a Japanese iced coffee and baklava latte which were good as well. Nice to have a new location to get delicious pastries and baked goods without having to go all the way to canton. Would recommend and will be back! read more

I really like their new location expansion what I liked mostly about it was the aesthetics inside and that it's a bigger space compared to café dear Leon where you do have to unfortunately sit outside. Service was very fast and I didn't have to wait as long café dear leon still holds a special place in my heart because it's nearby me but the second location is a nice spot to take family and friends if they're visiting in town and you wanna sit down and eat and drink together. ANYWAYS, we will be good to you, La Maison, don't break up with Remington!! If you're reading this and you haven't been to CDL, then all you need to know is everything is delicious. They're on a bake schedule, so check out their IG to see when you wanna roll through. Get the baklava latte (if they have it, it might just be seasonal). Must haves are the crab dip bagel, tamago sandwich (with or without crab), whatever sweet you're tooth is feeling, and the iced tea is perfect (but a little expensive for the amount you get IMHO). If you have been to CDL, just know that everything is just as perfect as it is at their Canton location. Finally made it to LA Maison. It closer to my house than Cafe Dear Leon so I was excited. It's a much bigger space, with plenty of indoor seating. The food was the same as CDL and came out on the same schedule. Maison opens a bit later but otherwise they're synced. And the good news is that the food is just as delicious. I tried the smoked salmon foccaacia, vanilla pear tart, cookie trempette danish and an oat almond cookie. All were ridiculously good. The cookie danish is filled with what I think is cookie dough and topped with an espresso cream and caramel. So good. The cookie was actually even better than the chocolate chip that I had before. I wish ppl would be more considerate and not reserved spot for 15-30mins or longer while waiting in line to order. Ok, so i have a love/hate relationship with this place. One its right next door to where i live. So, its obviously convenient, i have tried a lot of their items, now would i stand in line for mins on end nah, since the are other bakeries all around the city and one up the street in Hampden who do an equally good croissant or pain au chocolat if that is what you are after. Now, if you are coming for the crab bagel or sando thats a different matter since its worth a try or two. Also, the hate stems fron the fact that during the weekends in the a.m i cant find parking like come on, since patrons have stormed this joint. Its not that serious. read more

Arrived around 11am and line was out the door. Waited around 30 minutes and ordering was quick with good service. Wished I had cash for the tip jar. The food and drinks were yummy. Snagged a small table to eat our delicious sandos and decided to save the fresh pastries (almond croissant, basque cheesecake, financiers, banana bread) for later. They do not accept credit card tips!! It's so crazy to me that in 2026 we can have an establishment that is cash tips only. Who has cash on hand anymore? Service was great and this place was super busy so it just feels like an oversight by ownership. The sandwiches were nothing special, matcha was lacking, and the hojicha cheesecake was a cool concept, but I liked the idea more than the result. However, they did serve the cheesecake with a hojicha caramel sauce that I thought was amazing. Met Sharawn here to day a little after 11am. We were able to park on the street. When we entered in we were able to place our orders pretty quickly. I ordered the crab dip bagel, egg nog danish and iced ambrosia tea with simple syrup. I didn't get the banished warmed because it would be for later in the evening. Order was paid for and we had to go around the corner inside to receive the drinks. We were given the hot crab dip bagel before we went around the corner and dessert to go. As I turned the corner I was shocked to notice how full the place were. As I waited to get my drink, it didnt look like we were gonna be able to dine in. However, there was an empty spot all the way in the back. Their were many people who were mainly on computers working or on cell phones. It wasn't loud at all. It remained busy. I enjoyed my crab bagel. I would have rather had it without the corn in the mix but that's just me. The bagel itself had a slight sweet taste. Overall it was good. My tea was just ok. Just reminded me of regular ice tea. Nothing fancy. I waited too late to place an order so that I could take my sister a crab dip bagel. They were sold out. It's a pretty hot item. We cleared the table and took our dessert to go. Now let me tell you about the egg nog Danish that I just finished before I started to write this review. It was some kind of fresh and delicious. I am so glad this location exists because they have much more quantity wise although the line still moves so slowly. I remain a fan of the tamago sandwich and the ham & cheese croissant - which was still warm the last two visits - making it even more heavenly. I had always wanted to try cafe dear Leon and the one time I tried they were randomly closed so when I heard they were opening up a larger cafe in Remington, I knew it was time to give it a shot! I was impressed. The first time I went, I ordered a maritozzi, chocolate croissant, lemon blueberry tart, and the crab dip bagel. The pastries were AWESOME!! Truly sooo so good. I've also since tried their coffee bun which was also fantastic. Personally, I think the crab dip bagel is a little overhyped and I didn't love it. There is corn in it, which I didn't expect, and between that and just the savory nature of the bagel, there was something about it that felt too sweet to me. Regardless, you should go and get their pastries and I look forward to trying their sandwiches! I've also ordered the baklava latte which was fab. This coffee shop is also operated by Café de Leon that's in Baltimore. They have great seasonal drinks, Have good espresso, and the pastries are amazing. This shop is bigger than the other one so there are tables you can sit down and eat at if you want to have a chat with someone or do some work. There are a lot of university students that come here. I had tried the other cafe location multiple times but since this new location had happened we decided to go visit and gave it a try. I was nervous because Cafe Dear Leon is always so crowded and there is always a line but when we got there around 8am, there was plenty of parking, and there was no line! The space was very big and well decorated and we were able to eat our breakfast in a peaceful cafe which we loved! We really wanted to get the crab dip bagel since that was so good last time I had it and we were so happy we were able to get some. We also ordered the Breakfast Sando, Chausson Aux Pommes, and the focaccia sandwich. For drinks we got the Yakima flat white and the pistachio latte. Guys when we say we LOVED our drinks, it is an understatement. My husband absolutely loved the Yakima imo flat white and drank it so quickly. It tasted just like Yakima imo (baked sweet potato) and so yummy. The pistachio latte was just nutty enough and so good too! The Baked goods were also so good. I highly recommend the crab dip bagel and the chausson aux pommes. It was so flaky and the butler sweetness was perfect with the flaky breadding. We will definitely be back especially since it is less crowded and more seating :) read more

I believe this place has only been opened for about a week, but already having great traffic! In fact, while I was dining it I overheard the owners doing an interview with the Baltimore Banner (table next to me). It's the same folks who own Cafe Dear Leon from Canton, but in a gorgeous place with plenty of seating! This is definitely going to be such a great place to go for breakfast, lunch, meetings or to get work done. As I mentioned, it has lots of seating available plus a lot of natural light coming in from the big windows. Food was as delicious as always! My fiancé and I had the crème brûlée tart, the crookie, the ham & cheese croissant, and the almond/brown butter cake (forgot the name). We also had the baklava latte, and that one was not my favorite. Mostly because they put real chopped pistachios, and I couldn't get used to that (texture thing for me). i came here during the soft opening and the day they fully opened (today). the setup of the cafe has a great flow to it; you order at the front and pick up drinks around the corner. it really limits crowding. they were absolutely packed during their soft opening, but during the week i was able to order with no wait and most of their earlier pastries were available. for those new to the cafe dear leon model, they bake everything off fresh and thus have staggered pastry drops at set times throughout the day. check their instagram or the menus outside to see when you should stop by for the treats you want. i tried the monkey bread with passion fruit caramel, a chocolate chip cookie, the creme brulee tart, and a matcha with oat milk. every treat was exceptional and it's clear the flavor profile is very well thought out. my favorite was the creme brulee tart, but you really can't miss with anything here. their matcha is high quality and doesn't taste grassy. all of the staff are super nice and will gladly explain the model of the cafe to you if you ask. i am very excited to have this cafe as an addition to the Remington community. i love their OG location, but can never justify going all the way to Canton. i will surely become a regular. read more

When you walk in you'll get in line let them know what you want and then they'll tell you which register to head to (1-3). After that if you order a drink it will come at the other side of the restaurant at the coffee bar but you'll wait for your food first. It was my first time there but if I'm ever in the area again I will for sure come back. I stopped in after my dad was in the icu going for a procedure at the hospital. This food was the best we've ever had! We were visiting and were so far disappointed by the food in Maryland, but while driving by, La Maison caught our eye. Walking in, there is such a welcoming ambiance and it smells divine. They have so many gorgeous and delicious looking foods it was hard to choose, but we ultimately got the almond croissant, crab dip bagel, breakfast sando, a citrus pastry, and a chocolate one. I came with my whole family and all of us agreed it was the best brunch and snack place ever! The crab dip bagel was so delicious that we went right back the next day just for it! Every single pastry was not overly sweet, but they were all perfectly balanced in flavor and texture. Everybody there was welcoming and the service was amazing.
