We got the Koginut & Pinto Torta, Crème Brûlée Tart, Tamago Kare Pan, and a Vanilla something that I can't remember that's not listed on their current menu along with their Baklava Latte. Everything we had was so delicious. The savory items were so tasty and the sweet items were not overly sweet. Definitely some unique items here and we just loved it all. Finally got the opportunity to visit La Maison and it lived up to all of my expectations. The space is significantly larger than the original location so the flow of ordering works a bit differently. You go up to the pasty display and someone will help package up all of your pasties. They'll then tell you to meet them at a numbered register, which is also when you would order your drinks. Drinks are picked up in the seating area. If your pastry or sandwich needs to be heated up, you'd linger near the register area until they call out your name. The space is larger with seating but there's also lots of seating outside just in the area. There is a small parking lot behind the building but there's tons of parking in the neighborhood as well. read more

From the moment you walk in this coffee shop, you know it's going to be good. It is large with a lot of seating. Right inside the front door is the pastry area and in the back is the coffee spot. A welcomed new 2nd edition of cafe dear Leon in Baltimore. This location is much bigger than the canton location. Has actual space to sit and enjoy your drinks and food and get a bit of work done. They do have outdoor space weather permitting. The service here is solid, warm and friendly and fast. The baked goods are as you'd expect from them. Not difference from the original spot; all fresh and delicious. Got a monkey bread and almond croissant which were delicious. Got a Japanese iced coffee and baklava latte which were good as well. I've never had a bad meal here! I recently took my brother here to make him try the crab dip bagel, and t was just as good as I remembered. I liked my hot chocolate this time a little less than the wonderful yakiimo flat white I had the time before, but it was still delicious (and made the right way with real chocolate). The creme brulee tart was also delicious, and I loved the filling for the yuzu brioche but thought the dough itself wasn't as tender as it usually is. Hopefully just an off day for that one item; the rest was faultless! I'll always come here to try their new monthly specials (and then cave and buy my old favorites as well). They're on a bake schedule, so check out their IG to see when you wanna roll through. Get the baklava latte (if they have it, it might just be seasonal). Must haves are the crab dip bagel, tamago sandwich (with or without crab), whatever sweet you're tooth is feeling, and the iced tea is perfect (but a little expensive for the amount you get IMHO). If you have been to CDL, just know that everything is just as perfect as it is at their Canton location. Finally made it to LA Maison. It closer to my house than Cafe Dear Leon so I was excited. It's a much bigger space, with plenty of indoor seating. The food was the same as CDL and came out on the same schedule. Maison opens a bit later but otherwise they're synced. And the good news is that the food is just as delicious. I tried the smoked salmon foccaacia, vanilla pear tart, cookie trempette danish and an oat almond cookie. All were ridiculously good. The cookie danish is filled with what I think is cookie dough and topped with an espresso cream and caramel. So good. The cookie was actually even better than the chocolate chip that I had before. Cafe Dear Leon is my oldest daughter's favorite pastry and bakery shop. With latest visit to Baltimore, she wanted to treat my wife and I to brunch at La Maison which is owned by the same owners of Cafe Dear Leon. The usual long weekend line was there, but it moved very quick. We went with egg salad in milk bread, crab dip bagel, and smoked salmon in focaccia. All the tables were taken and counter chairs were occupied. So, we sat outside by a fireplace under the glorious weather. The three sandwiches were absolutely delicious. The breads were so fresh and tasty. The proteins were fresh and seasoned well. We also took home various pastries to eat with our afternoon coffee. Prices were more than fair for such high quality foods. All the employees were so cheerful and friendly. We will visit with every trip to Baltimore. read more

My partner brought me here for breakfast, they have a beautiful arrangement of pastries and sandwiches, their drink menu doesn't disappoint either! I loved the crème brûlée tart, recently I went in and got the raspberry pistachio mozzitart(?) and the strawberry and lavender danish. both were delicious! the danish has strawberry filling inside which pleasantly surprised me. And then she went to sit down at a table with five other people and talked so loudly anyone within 20 feet could hear her entire conversation. Met Sharawn here to day a little after 11am. We were able to park on the street. When we entered in we were able to place our orders pretty quickly. I ordered the crab dip bagel, egg nog danish and iced ambrosia tea with simple syrup. I didn't get the banished warmed because it would be for later in the evening. Order was paid for and we had to go around the corner inside to receive the drinks. We were given the hot crab dip bagel before we went around the corner and dessert to go. As I turned the corner I was shocked to notice how full the place were. As I waited to get my drink, it didnt look like we were gonna be able to dine in. However, there was an empty spot all the way in the back. Their were many people who were mainly on computers working or on cell phones. It wasn't loud at all. It remained busy. I enjoyed my crab bagel. I would have rather had it without the corn in the mix but that's just me. The bagel itself had a slight sweet taste. Overall it was good. My tea was just ok. Just reminded me of regular ice tea. Nothing fancy. I waited too late to place an order so that I could take my sister a crab dip bagel. They were sold out. It's a pretty hot item. We cleared the table and took our dessert to go. Now let me tell you about the egg nog Danish that I just finished before I started to write this review. It was some kind of fresh and delicious. I am incredibly excited that La Maison is in my neighborhood now! I had always wanted to try cafe dear Leon and the one time I tried they were randomly closed so when I heard they were opening up a larger cafe in Remington, I knew it was time to give it a shot! I was impressed. The first time I went, I ordered a maritozzi, chocolate croissant, lemon blueberry tart, and the crab dip bagel. The pastries were AWESOME!! Truly sooo so good. I've also since tried their coffee bun which was also fantastic. Personally, I think the crab dip bagel is a little overhyped and I didn't love it. There is corn in it, which I didn't expect, and between that and just the savory nature of the bagel, there was something about it that felt too sweet to me. Regardless, you should go and get their pastries and I look forward to trying their sandwiches! I've also ordered the baklava latte which was fab. I had tried the other cafe location multiple times but since this new location had happened we decided to go visit and gave it a try. I was nervous because Cafe Dear Leon is always so crowded and there is always a line but when we got there around 8am, there was plenty of parking, and there was no line! The space was very big and well decorated and we were able to eat our breakfast in a peaceful cafe which we loved! We really wanted to get the crab dip bagel since that was so good last time I had it and we were so happy we were able to get some. We also ordered the Breakfast Sando, Chausson Aux Pommes, and the focaccia sandwich. For drinks we got the Yakima flat white and the pistachio latte. Guys when we say we LOVED our drinks, it is an understatement. My husband absolutely loved the Yakima imo flat white and drank it so quickly. It tasted just like Yakima imo (baked sweet potato) and so yummy. The pistachio latte was just nutty enough and so good too! The Baked goods were also so good. I highly recommend the crab dip bagel and the chausson aux pommes. It was so flaky and the butler sweetness was perfect with the flaky breadding. They do not accept credit card tips!! It's so crazy to me that in 2026 we can have an establishment that is cash tips only. Who has cash on hand anymore? Service was great and this place was super busy so it just feels like an oversight by ownership. The sandwiches were nothing special, matcha was lacking, and the hojicha cheesecake was a cool concept, but I liked the idea more than the result. However, they did serve the cheesecake with a hojicha caramel sauce that I thought was amazing. This new location is great! All of the baked goods are fantastic and excellently done. The only one that I've had that felt a little lackluster was the monkey bread. If you want to visit on a weekend you have to be strategic with your timing as they make the food in 3 waves (I believe its 7:30 am, 11 am, and 1 pm or something similar to those times), and if you come too far after the most recent wave they won't have much left. If that happens to you, I still suggest getting a drink! The rosemary flat white, the Brazilian lemonade, and the black sesame tahini latte are delicious. Regarding seating, I've always found seating fairly quickly when I'm in a group of two. If youre in a larger group of four or six it's going to be harder, and its a good idea to have one person in your party go look for seats while another person stays in line to make the order. The staff is polite and helpful, I've only had one bad interaction and it was during their opening week where it seems like they were still adjusting to the volume of people. read more

In fact, while I was dining it I overheard the owners doing an interview with the Baltimore Banner (table next to me). It's the same folks who own Cafe Dear Leon from Canton, but in a gorgeous place with plenty of seating! This is definitely going to be such a great place to go for breakfast, lunch, meetings or to get work done. As I mentioned, it has lots of seating available plus a lot of natural light coming in from the big windows. Food was as delicious as always! i came here during the soft opening and the day they fully opened (today). the setup of the cafe has a great flow to it; you order at the front and pick up drinks around the corner. it really limits crowding. they were absolutely packed during their soft opening, but during the week i was able to order with no wait and most of their earlier pastries were available. for those new to the cafe dear leon model, they bake everything off fresh and thus have staggered pastry drops at set times throughout the day. check their instagram or the menus outside to see when you should stop by for the treats you want. i tried the monkey bread with passion fruit caramel, a chocolate chip cookie, the creme brulee tart, and a matcha with oat milk. every treat was exceptional and it's clear the flavor profile is very well thought out. my favorite was the creme brulee tart, but you really can't miss with anything here. their matcha is high quality and doesn't taste grassy. all of the staff are super nice and will gladly explain the model of the cafe to you if you ask. i am very excited to have this cafe as an addition to the Remington community. i love their OG location, but can never justify going all the way to Canton. i will surely become a regular. read more
