Tampiquena (grilled skirt steak), cheese enchilada, black beans and rice. Comes with tortillas.

First time there and we enjoyed it! Cute patio with umbrellas, good service, and good food. The margaritas were fresh and balanced and we loved that the chips and salsa were fresh-made! We shared the shrimp tacos (very tasty) and the tampiquena (grilled skirt steak). The meat was very tender and I like that it comes with a cheese enchilada. The rice and beans were good too.

We tried this place out on our anniversary this year. They have a cute outdoor patio and one wall opens up to it. We ate just inside so we had the best of both worlds. It's clean and well taken care of inside and out. We both ordered a frozen mango margarita and they do not skimp on the tequila! It was very fresh though a little on the all side compared to other places. They provided chips and salsa for free and they were good. We were boring and only had the mild salsa but it was bueno. My fajitas came to the table (in under 15 mins) sizzling delightfully. The waitress had asked what kind of tortillas I wanted and I had told her corn but for some reason I was given both flour and corn piled up like corn, flour, corn, flour so if you have a gluten allergy this is something to be concerned about. That being said the fajitas were good and so were the pork tacos.

So disappointing... got a burrito bowl. It was cheap as can be. 2 cups iceberg lettuce, 20 pieces corn, 20 Black beans, I tablespoon rice, 1/2 cup chicken and a drizzle of sour cream. No flavor, just plain as hospital food. They could have gave me salsa or something to make it taste better.

Finally!!!!! Downtown Oswego getting top quality non chain restaurants!!! This place just opened and took the place of the old Firehouse Pizza. Wow they did an incredible job rennovating this spot and it looks bright and clean and comfortable inside. The service was spectacular with the server knowing everything about the menu, how they prep the food, etc. It was impressive. The food came out fast, hot and my God did it taste delicious. My whole family including kids loved it. Only suggestion for the owners would be to have a few kids menu options as our 4 yr old had a quesadilla but because there was some "salad" in it as she said, it took coaxing to get her to eat it. A few kids options would be great. I would suggest going early as no reservations yet and we were there at 5 on a Saturday and it got really busy really fast. Can't blame the crowds as the food was that good! So happy to see places like this giving us a reason to go into downtown Oswego as a destination for dining. Btw their various salsas are incredible. It took willpower not to just drink it from the bowl it came in.....

Fantastic chicken tacos, salsa, and margaritas! Our server was awesome too! The place is so clean, the decor so inviting, and the flowers and landscaping are beautiful. I'd give them more starts if I could.

The poached pears were exquisite. The fresh spinach and thin-sliced pears were the perfect bed (better than arugula would have been) and the crans, feta and crushed nuts were great for balance and texture. But let's talk about that chicken's agave marinade. It was zesty with a slight acidic citrus to balance the sweetness from the pear. The whole deal was delicious. And with the maple-dijon vinaigrette to top it off - well, that topped it off! My buddy got a Hippie Chic sandwich and he liked it very much too. I don't usually write reviews on first visits and certainly never before for a salad but the Vault is a gem that should be on full display, not locked away!

Two other tables (seated after us by the other waitress) had been seated and got drinks before our someone came to our table. When I did get my water it had plastic wrap in it. The other waitress took it from us to get a new one. No sorry, nothing. Acted like nothing happened. Our waitress delivered the new one 10 solid minutes later. It was Not super busy at this time. Why so long? And again no acknowledgement of the plastic.. couldnt get myself to drink anything else with worry of contamination of the ice box. Order the california chicken sandwich and brussel sprouts. My mother had the smash burger. She seemed to enjoy it though both sandwiches were stacked super tall and mine had two huge thick red o ions on it. A bit overpowering but mine was good after that was removed. Brussel sprouts were significantly salty. Wasnt able to get through them. My mom got the fries and tho were standard. She also got a bloody mary. It was alright she seemed to enjoy it. Waitress was a little sarcastic with us for no reason and the plastic and just overall service was unfortunate. It was enough to leave a bad taste in my mouth and I dont plan to return.

I appreciated they allowed a special meal for the MOB who is a vegetarian. It does take a few days for response time - BUT, I always got a response. And she was always willing to give us everything we asked for! The venue even let us in earlier than requested to set up our decor. We would definitely recommend this venue for a bridal/baby shower or birthday party - any special event that is smaller in numbers. The venue has been advertising a new addition to the space next to building but it seems the construction has haulted. It is a shame because it is a bit of an eyesore - BUT, if they complete this addition, it will be beautiful. Hope they are able to complete it. The Gray's Mills has history with it's town so I hope locals will continue to support it. When we come back to visit our son and my new daughter-in-law, we will definitely be back for a visit - especially if the weather is nice!! I've been having some hearing issues lately, and the restaurant was extremely loud. We politely asked our waitress if we could move to the other room so I could hear better. She simply said, "No, it's closed," and then walked away before we could say anything else. We ended up sitting directly underneath the TV, wedged between three very loud tables. We noticed there was an empty area on the other side of the bar, so after waiting until the waitress was finished talking with other customers, my husband politely asked if we could move over there because it was quieter and would make it easier for me to hear. She completely ignored him. He asked again. She looked directly at him and said, "I don't have time for this," and walked away. At that point, we simply got up and left. I own a local business in Yorkville, right down the street from Burnt Barrel, and I would never allow one of my employees to treat a customer this way. We weren't asking for anything unreasonable--we were simply trying to find a quieter place to sit because I was having difficulty hearing. People have bad days, and I understand that. But there is never a reason to dismiss and speak to customers that way, especially when they are being polite. Unfortunately, after this experience, we will not be returning. It's a shame because we genuinely liked this place and had always enjoyed coming

It's (way) off the beaten path, and definitely not picturesque. But I have had too many good meals in places that aren't exactly the ritz, so I had to try MiRancho. The Yelps were encouraging. I was ordering from the menu board, then I saw a small sign announcing a "buffet". I asked the nice fellow behind the counter and he said it was on. Well.
