I had the shrimp fajitas and the boyfriend had chicken enchiladas. We came on a Thursday night and the place was empty but by the time we left there were two other parties eating. There's a bar but it's not one that you would sit at. Food was good. It was out super fast! It was not over seasoned or overly salty at all. Not the best service, no one ever came to see how we were doing or if we needed anything. I love coming here for the Agua de Jamaica--it's hands down my favorite! My husband and daughter are obsessed with the horchata, and it never disappoints. We started with the Buffalo shrimp, and wow--the sauce was one of the best I've had in a long time. It had the perfect amount of heat without being overly vinegary. My husband ordered the birria burrito meal and really enjoyed it, but the real surprise was the rice on the side--it was absolutely packed with flavor and could've been a meal on its own! I had the torta de milanesa, and it was incredible--crispy, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. Always a great experience! It's all delicious! My favorite Mexican place - service, food and drinks were all beyond amazing!

My husband and I drove 40 minutes because we had heard great things about this restaurant. Before leaving we had checked Google and Yelp to see reviews and they both showed the restaurant was open. Upon arriving, we immediately noticed they were closed. We were super bummed but gave them the benefit of the doubt that they may have posted it on facebook. Nope! Nothing there or online that they had closed. I even tried calling in hopes we were mistaken but no one answered. So disappointing, we expected better. read more

As told by many on reviews already, place is very small and service can be spotty at times. But I knew this going there & isn't the reason for the 3 star rating. Arrived on a Monday at 5 & waited by the register for around 8 minutes even as we saw 2 tables open & ready- noted. Got to the table & server was pleasant and fast- the entire time. So waiter for us was not an issue Had 3 adults & one baby and ordered guacamole ($10), 3 entrees ($15 average on each- not excessively bad) but a kid's quesadilla with small amount of rice & beans at $8????. Sorry but that's about double what it should have been- my experience in dining (a LOT). Food quality for dinners very good, guac was about a 3 out of 5 rating and the salsa the same. I saw in one review that they charge $3 for a 2nd small basket of chips and quickly looked at my own receipt and no charge for the 2nd basket we had- maybe the waiter forgot?? Flauta dinner i had was very good and family enjoyed theirs as well- baby definitely enjoyed hers! All in all, they have some things to improve on to compete for repeat customers. First, see if that bigger 'restaurant' right next door to them can be purchased & then expand to a larger restaurant. Way too cramped not just for patrons but also the staff themselves. That 'bar' was comical to watch as they made drinks... my kitchen counter is 5 times larger! Then no way to charge for chips and salsa- at all..... we frequent other Mexican restaurants around the area & never are there additional charges for extra chips or salsa- just can't do it to compete for business. It indicates to customers they are in the wrong restaurant & are being taken advantage of. Last- get a better recipe for the guac and salsa- must have's in any serious Mexican restaurant read more

The have a very extensive menu with lots of seafood options, so if that's your thing, this is the place to try. Their "inside" dining space is very small, but they have a patio/deck that is enclosed and heated during the colder months that basically triples their seating. Guacamole is amazing. read more

Finally someone came give us carryout menus and take drink orders. My husband asked twice for a frozen margarita, and when it eventually came it was not frozen. After telling the server about the error he was given back the same drink, only thrown in the blender so it was basically just ice with a hint of flavor; he sent it back and got only water. While we were waiting for our food and had only an empty bowl of chips on the table, another server asked us how everything was. We had nothing to check on. Obviously she was asking robotically and not really being observant. The food was good. I got the stuffed pineapple and my husband got the garlic shrimp. Nice flavors, decent portion sizes. Upon leaving we saw several people in cramped doorway waiting for carryout orders or to be seated with no masks and no social distancing. They should have been asked to wait in their cars. There are MANY Mexican restaurants in Plano (there's even one next door, ha!), but we tried this new place last night and it was amazing! Everything was very fresh and delicious. I ordered the chicken and cheese enchiladas with mole sauce for my entree. The chicken was tender and flavorful and the mole sauce had a rich flavor. The side of rice and beans was way better than the typical Mexican joint. You can tell they take care to slow cook the beans and make the rice fresh. My husband had the chorizo and beef burrito and loved it. Their chips and salsa are homemade...the regular salsa wasn't too spicy but very flavorful. Ask for the green salsa...a little sweet and different, loved it! Watch out for the spicy salsa, it has a HUGE kick! First time trying this place and it was AMAZING!!! By far the most flavorful Mexican food in the area! We had the carne tempiquena, shrimp in house Nayarit sauce, and shrimp in garlic butter. The steak was a bit over cooked (asked for medium and there was no pink) but it didn't detract from the overall flavor and goodness!
