First thoughts, the interior decor is pretty nice, definitely reminds me of a French/Asian mix. Onto the food, Ive only eaten here once, but other than the egg rolls and spring rolls I wasn't super impressed. Updated the ratings! "Com ga xoi mo" needs to be a highlight. Special plate and it's so good! I literally advertise it. Le Ma is one of my favorite restaurants. It get busy sometimes, but The servers are persistently keeping an eye on you. My boyfriend and I waited for a table once and three waiter staff came up to us to make sure we are being taken care of. But it gets annoying after awhile. LOL The quality of food is good. You know it's good when your mom loves it there and she knows her Vietnamese food. I came here for lunch today with my sister in search for good Vietnamese food. This place was packed. We had to wait a bit to be seated which means is has to be good. Since this was our first time here, we ordered the specials, com tam 7 mon (broken rice with 7 sides) and mi quang. The com tam was delicious. It came with a bowl of broth too. The only thing was that the egg was fried a little too long to the point where the yolk was cooked thoroughly. The noodles were good but the egg was boiled too long and the cracker seemed a little too chewy. Besides that, everything was actually good. bummed I didn't get to try the banh mi here...came on a Saturday at 2 and of course all the sandwiches were gone. Reading through reviews on the way there, I kind of expected this. still, I got the bo luc lac, which was really good. I liked my friend's dish, the #48 (forgot the name) even better though, or at least the slices of pork in it were delicious! He wasn't crazy about the shrimp patties in it. Either way, portion was huge, tons of noodles, and mine came with tons of rice, so of course nothing got finished. Also started out with spring rolls, which were solid. I will definiteily be back at some point, early in the day for sure, to try the sandwiches. Been here dozens of times, their food never disappoints me. This place is considered a 'hole in the wall' for authentic Vietnamese food. I had the rice noodle hu tieu đc bit, it has alot of toppings. Would definitely recommend this to any newcomers. read more

Small shop, very home-made vibe. We ordered egg rolls, mi quang, egg noodles with pork and seafood. Egg rolls had extra crispy skin and filling was tasty. Mi quang had lots of flavor and very hearty, a little bit fishy for me though. The egg noodle soup broth was really good, but I might prefer the one from the food court at Cali Saigon mall. Another cheap and good place. They have items that other vietnamese places don't have or theirs taste better. Small place but they do a great job on the dishes they have. I am an American who got addicted to Vietnamese food about three years ago. La Me was a big part of my addiction. I credit losing about 20 pounds to La Me as well as walking a lot in my job the last two years. I eat here probably four times per week and it would be five but they are closed on Wednesdays! This is just delicious Vietnamese food. Their Chow Fun and any rice or vermicelli dishes with THK (shrimp patty) + grilled pork or beef + egg rolls are my favorites. I need to try the apparently famous Bo Luc Lac since everyone seems to love it. I haven't tried this anywhere as yet, so it will be a surprise. read more

12/8/14- I've order "bo bia" the jicama roof was uncooked when serves. And the "bun thit nuong" was good. The waitress staff is very bad. I have been to many in California (little Saigon) and this is pretty authentic. However I rate them low in terms of atmosphere. I had already ordered the grilled pork bun when I saw the fresh banh mi's coming out of the oven and I wanted to kick myself for not ordering one. The bun was great but I can't wait to go back and get some sammies. Addictive but do call ahead as they run out sometimes( I have seen to go orders with at least 30 ). My most favorite Vietnamese restaurant! The staffs are much nicer than the other Vietnamese restaurants'. They nailed the Vietnamese home-styled taste of Pho and Com Suon. So far the best Vietnamese restaurant I've been to in the Dallas metroplex. I normally don't eat seafood but their shrimp patties' so heavenly and the grill chicken is nice too. The price is fair and the food is very decent; service is pretty bleh but then that's about normal for most Asian restaurants when the place's packed and the servers don't really speak much English. Food is always great, but this time my Mi Nam Vang came with extra protein. (roach). Table for 3, but only 1 water. I know service is really bad here, so it was expected. This place was so great! We actually just left that place. We gave it 4 stars because the food was really good, the service was okay but the server seemed a bit impatient but she came back and apologized about it, so it got another star. The reason they didn't get 5 stars was because most of their appetizers that were listed on the menu, were no longer available. I got the grilled pork and egg rolls on vermicelli, my boyfriend got chicken chow fun, both were really great! I love it! Great taste and not too expensive! I will say, when you go, get the egg rolls! SO GOOD! I love them. We actually ordered 2 of them (10 egg rolls total). I love this place! Please go and get egg rolls. read more
