To start when we walked up to the restaurant, there was a pretty lady wearing a club style red dress on the phone and didn't even bat an eye when we walked in, so we didn't think she was the hostess. When we walked into the actual restaurant, it looked cool however considering the owner is Alex de Gente de Zona, the music sounded like someone turned on 101.5 Lite FM. It took about a minute for the hostess to walk in and greet us (the lady in the red dress) and take us to the table. As we perused the menu, I got excited by the selections. The server Ashley (I think that was her name) was great. Extremely personable and loved her candor about our selections and making sure we ordered enough food. However she informed us that a few of the plates we were most excited for, were no longer available and they were redoing the menu. At the end of the night the food was mediocre for the price. I'm giving it 3 stars because I might consider having drinks there but may never go back for dinner. The music started changing slightly as we were paying our bill. could have been the night? Don't know but that doesn't excuse the food not being worth the price.

I've gone to Jaque Mate in the Kendall Village mall, and so far I'm still happy with them. Now, as for this Que Chimbo Parce: If there's something I'll never forgive is when a business tries to rip you off. And, yes, many other business include the tip already in your check (a practice I really dislike, but can sometimes understand), but most of them include the tip as it should be: 1) it SAYS it's included 2) it is calculated before tax 3) it is optional to raise it, reduce it, eliminate it, or leave it 4) they CLEARLY state that the space below is for ADDITIONAL tip. Don't get me wrong, the server went above and beyond for us and she deserved a good tip. But that should be MY CHOICE, not the restaurant's, and the fact that they tried to charge the additional tip as a regular tip and calculated it AFTER TIP AND TAX ensures I'm not going back. As for the food. We had tequeños. An order gives you five, with two sauces on the side. I didn't care much for the guava sauce, though you may like it if you're into that sort of thing, but the garlic sauce was very nice. We also shared a parrilla personal. The menu says it includes morcilla, but the server was very clear it was an error and it didn't include it before taking our order. It was quite good, for an appetizer, though I doubt is what you have in mind if you're going for it as an entré (worked perfectly for us because we were precisely in the mood for a bite to share). Overall, the restaurant was nice and clean and no complaints about the service... but those deceitful practices have to stop!

We got sat down quick, took about 10 minutes to get our order taken. Got some beers and a hookah. Hookah is $20 but to be honest I've had better hookah and last longer for that price...so not really impressed. The guy waiter that's passing by, didn't even check or see that our coal had turned off already, I believe he was giving complementary chips to the tables too and he just looked at ours and kept walking and gave the chips to another table. So regarding the hookah, we unwrapped the foil because we felt it lasted way to little and of course there was still a good amount that was good to be smoked, so we asked the waitress if they charged for giving us another coal since ours burned out and I believe I heard her say it was $3 for that (including the tobacco) and I told her there was a good amount we still had left. Luckily they put a new coal for us. Most likely because the guy going around didn't pay attention to our table and hookah. Along with the waitress, she barely passed by. If she came by it was maybe like 2-3 times compared to how the other tables were served. Beers were $5 (Corona). So by the time we got our check they charge a service fee of 18%, so that's their tip that's included and they still ask for a tip at the end when paying. I'll pass by again and see if service is a little more attentive but if not won't go back and it's not a big deal.

18JUL26 Today I…read morereturned to El Sitio. Due to the heat, I decided for the first time to sit at the bar instead of the terrace. Fabiana kindly welcomed me and reminded me I could sit wherever I preferred, taking the weather into account. I ordered a Modelo beer, which was nicely cold. I had gone to another place before, but left immediately because it was packed for the France vs England match. I thought it would be the same here, but luckily I was able to enjoy the game without issues. The place has a huge screen inside with excellent visibility from the bar or any table in the dining room. On the terrace you can hear the audio, but the TV is used for local advertising. I noticed the bar has purse hooks and USB ports for charging phones very practical details. However, I observed (not for the first time) that many of the white plates they use to serve food had chipped edges, and mine arrived the same way. To eat, I ordered the Arepa Pelúa. The temperature, seasoning, and portion were good well loaded with shredded meat and melted cheese. I really love their green spicy sauce. I was very impressed by the arrival of Mati, one of the employees, who came in with a loud and clear "good afternoon," a genuine smile, and greeted all her coworkers as she headed to clock in. Her energy and good manners are impressive. An interesting detail is that all the staff wear earpieces to communicate with each other, which allows great coordination. You could see tables being prepared for a private birthday celebration. When leaving, I stopped to personally thank Fabiana for her attention. She told me she hasn't been working there very long. Besides being close and convenient, I will definitely be back.

During that time, I asked the waitress multiple times for the status of my food and repeatedly checked in for updates, but there was very little communication or follow-up from the staff regarding the delay. The restaurant was nearly empty, which made the excessive wait even more confusing. My boyfriend finished his meal long before mine arrived, and we were left sitting for an extended period without any acknowledgment of the issue. When we closed out our bill, there was still no meaningful apology or effort to make the situation right. Overall, the excessive wait time and lack of communication significantly impacted our visit. I hope this feedback helps improve service and communication for future guests.
