My favorite restaurant during my trip to Spain! La Mi Venta was recommended by our Airbnb and it is conveniently located near the Royal Palace. I highly recommend having a reservation before going since they get busy and might not have opening for walk-ins during busy days. We recommend getting the jamon iberico and the secreto cut. We LOVED the secreto cut! The ambiance was great, they had tables in smaller rooms so it felt more intimate.

Loved this tapas place! Our favorite was the ahi tuna and the burrata and tomatoes with pesto. The dishes had great flavor! We also got the croquets and papas bravas which were good. They also greeted us with bone broth when we entered and it was delicious. The plates were well sized for the price point but thought it was a perfect date night spot. Only lost a star because they didn't have many dishes that didn't have pork as my husband doesn't eat pork or beef so we were quite limited on what we could order but that may be a spanish thing.
Yum. Tasty food. Great service. It's a bit out of the way, not in city center, but worth a visit for Iberian ham. Menu is in English but you need to scan the QR code and access it online. They have free Wifi. I didn't get to experience the inside brick cellar as the weather was lovely during the afternoon. We sat outside with many visits from some bees, but it was under the shade. I highly recommend starting the meal with tinto de verano €4.60! This is better (sweeter) than the sangria. The tomate salad €11.9 that we ordered came out next, but it took a while before the next dish was served. I got the carne dish €54.5 to share. They brought out the raw cut to show us before they cooked it. We asked for medium rare but when it came out, most of it was red and fleshy. Perhaps a normal medium would have been better. The jamon plate €27.5 was good. It's apparently from acorn-fed pigs. Since we were in Madrid, we decided to also try their special iberico dish €22.9, which was also acorn-fed. It was three small pieces served with potatoes, but it was so tasty. When I got the bill, I saw they charged us €1.75 per person for pan (bread). I think they were distracting us with the olive oil presentation, but oh well, it tasted good.
My boyfriend and I came here to eat for the first time and we had a great experience. The food was amazing and our waiter, Luis, was incredible! He gave us great recommendations, and when I asked to try something I'd never had before, he even brought me a taste first just in case I didn't like it, plus a backup dish on the side. Overall, we had an amazing time and we'll definitely be coming back the next time we're in Madrid.
Gem near everything but off the main tourist routes. Reservation was necessary as it was fully packed. The table outside provided a wonderful ambiance with a bit more air to breathe. The staff was very friendly and somehow we were able to communicate. The food was outstanding. PS: Nice to have a QR code not only for the menus but also the WiFi)
I arrived solo about 9:30 which is the heart of dinner time. They were very accommodating even though I didn't have a reservation . Everyone seemed to speak English well. Started with the goat cheese chupa chups. Delightful. Then for the main Beef Entrecote Grilled with Natural Charcoal. Just amazing. Topped it off with the Tempered White Chocolate Brownie and Vanilla Ice Cream. Also enjoyed a sangria, which was a plentiful portion. The server Fernando super nice and patient even though I was a table of one. I would go there every night if I could
Truly an excellent establishment, in this restaurant right across from the palace expect to be treated like family, and the prices are excellent. We had steak that was delicious, octopus that was tender and cheap beer and wine. Next time I am in Madrid I will go back
I love everything about this place! I was visiting Madrid and decided to come here since a friend recommended it. The first night I went, my friend and I ordered the Cod Loin in Tempura, Foie Gras Ravioli in Chicken Broth and Cream, the Tapas La Mi Venta Combination Plate. We wanted to order the paella, but since we got there around 10pm, we didn't want to wait 35 min for it to be made. The Sangria was the best I've ever tasted!! It was sparkly, not too strong, or too sweet. It was absolutely refreshing. The food came one by one and wow, amazing. Our server, George, was telling us recommendations on where to go out for nightlife, and it was a pleasure chatting with him! We even got free little alcoholic shots after our meal. We loved this place so much that we decided to go a second time and finally try the paella. Best paella of my life! They presented it to us and then plated it for our table. What an experience! The calamari was delicious as well, not too oily or salty and came with delicious sauce. Another free shot right after!!
Incredibly friendly, attentive and informative service. We ate downstairs in "cave" which provided unique environment. The food was fresh and well-prepared. The wine was world class. Including dessert, the bill was just under €100.

Excellent restaurant close to the palace and Plaza de Espana. Come as a partty so you can order some of the larger peices of meat and paella, which serve more than one. Our server had serveral excellent recommendations, starting with the Iberian ham wiht tomatoes. A nice red wine accompanied the meal. Reservations aren't a bad idea and you may have a limited time (not rushed) before another party has your table reserved.
We came here after visiting the Royal Palace, and the location couldn't have been more convenient. What really impressed me, though, was the dining room downstairs. It feels like you're eating inside an old wine cellar, with beautiful brick-vaulted ceilings, stone walls, and a cozy atmosphere that makes the experience feel very traditional and distinctly Spanish. We ordered the Iberian ham croquettes, the grilled goat cheese salad, and a charcoal-grilled steak with roasted potatoes and Padrón peppers. The croquettes were okay, but they were easily the least memorable dish of the meal. The goat cheese salad was excellent, with creamy, lightly grilled cheese that paired perfectly with the fresh vegetables. The steak was the standout. It was cooked exactly as requested, flavorful, tender, and served with delicious roasted potatoes and peppers. The staff were friendly, attentive, and never rushed us, making for a relaxed dinner from start to finish. I'm giving it 4 stars because one of the starters didn't quite live up to the rest of the meal, but the atmosphere, service, and quality of the steak more than made up for it. If you're looking for classic Castilian cuisine in a unique cellar-like setting near Madrid's major attractions, La Mi Venta is definitely worth a visit. read more
La Mi Venta is a small, warm family restaurant tucked away on a quiet side street in Madrid, and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise. We hadn't planned on eating there but decided to drop in. The interior is cozy and inviting, while outdoor seating is available if you prefer to dine al fresco (though it can get a bit windy outside). In fact, our water glass toppled over with one gust of wind. Reservations are recommended, as the place seems popular. The menu features a wide variety of traditional Spanish dishes, and everything we tried was delicious. Our T-bone steak arrived perfectly cooked, served with grilled peppers and sliced golden potatoes, it was simple, flavorful, and satisfying. The squid was also very good, but the standout dish was the asparagus in tempura with almond mayonnaise. Perfectly fried and incredibly light, it was absolutely outstanding. Another highlight was the homemade Iberian ham croquettes served with candied pepper sauce which were creamy and rich on the inside with a delicate crisp on the outside and a wonderful balance of flavor. To accompany the meal, we enjoyed a few glasses of Rioja Azpilicueta Crianza (Tempranillo, Graciano, and Mazuelo, 12 months aging, 2021). It was a bit on the dry side, but helped take the edge off the chilly wind while we sat outside enjoying a late lunch. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even indulging my enthusiasm for photographing the slicing of the Iberian ham. All in all, La Mi Venta delivered a fantastic, authentic Spanish dining experience with great food, good wine, and welcoming service in a charming setting. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Madrid. read more

We are currently traveling in Spain and dined here last night with my husband and our twenty-something (year old) children. We were greeted so warmly by the staff while smelling delicious food cooking in the back. We knew we were off to a great meal. The ambiance is so refreshing from the mass produced buildings we are used to frequenting. It genuinely felt like an old wine cellar and you truly felt like you were dining in an historic building. Rene, our main server along with Aron, (and one other gentleman whose name I unfortunately do not know) were so attentive, kind, professional, and welcoming to our family. The food was absolutely the main star of this dining experience. We ordered the burrata with pesto and tomatoes, which was one the best and freshest we've ever had along with the acorn-fed jamon de bellota which melted in your mouth with a smoothness and flavoring we had not yet been lucky enough to taste before. Even the bread and olive oil was delicious and memorable. My family loved the combo of classics with the little chorizos. I couldn't get enough of the simple tomatoes served in olive oil. They tasted freshly-picked and the rock salt was perfectly balanced. The best was the grilled octopus that was one of the most well seasoned bites of seafood we can ever remember. Everyone remarked about how moist and flavored it was and you could really taste the char of the grill. Even the bottle of water was perfectly chilled and very nice. Overall, one of the best (if not best) dining experiences we have ever encountered on our travels. Much thanks to Rene and his patience with our questions and requests (can we have more olive oil?) with prompt and enthusiast answers and remedy. The service was just top-notch. Lastly, the mojito my son ordered will probably be the best one he'll ever have. Never had one that was so filled with so much freshly squeezed lime. Thank you, La Mi Venta, for such an incredible evening of dining and family. We love Madrid!!! read more

We loved this place! It's right next to the big monuments so the location is perfect. We arrived at the busiest time, but no problem the bartender was nice and quickly served drinks and olives. The food is very good. Big portions comparing to other locations. But enough to get full is enjoy. The atmosphere inside is nice and staff friendly and welcoming. Great quality and experience for the money. We would go back next time in area. read more

This place was recommended by our hotel receptionist. We totally missed it when trying to walk there as it looks very simple. There are a bunch of tables for outdoor seating. We came early and we're able to be seated right away, with a 2 hour limit. Our server was really nice and so efficient. We realized that the servers monitor where we are with eating each dish so they can bring the next dish out at appropriate intervals. This was one of the best meals I've ever had in my life. We ordered way more than we needed to and didn't regret overeating as every dish was delicious. The whole squid and calamari dishes melt in your mouth and were the best we had in Spain. The Iberian ham was also amazing and I noticed that it tasted a little different in every place. The only dish I didn't love was the salad but I'm not really a salad person and I don't like slightly bitter greens. If I ever come back to Madrid, I will definitely go back to this lovely little restaurant. read more

Came here to celebrate my mother's birthday abroad. Fernando and his entire team was super helpful and warm from start to finish. Food was delicious and the ambiance even better. Thanks again for the hospitality and we will be back the next time we are in Madrid! These guys do hospitality the right way!!! read more
