The short rib was soooo tender, the shrimp was plump, and the chicken had the perfect fry on it. We loved the sauces that came with it, as well. Their cuisine appears to be a fusion of Hawaiian, Filipino and Korean cuisines. You will want to note their business hours. At the time of this review, they are closed Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays. Their lunch hours on other days are 11am-2:30pm and dinner hours are 4pm-7:30pm. It's a popular restaurant, so there is limited seating indoors. According to their website, this is the "Home of Da Garlic Furikake Chicken" so you'll want to try that dish. I ordered the Braised Beef Shortribs off their Specials menu and went with the Twisty Fries as my choice of side. The Shortribs were unbelievably tender but just a tad bit sweet for my liking, and the Twisty Fries were absolutely phenomenal. If we're ever able to visit the Big Island again, Broke Da Mouth will be one of the first spots we come back to!

Lots of free parking across the street. We arrived at 2:45pm n they close at 3ish. We ordered shrimp sari sari and torta talong. Portions were big for us. It was so good. Reminded me of my grandmas home cooking in Philippines We also had halo halo popsicles. It was so refreshing as a to go treat. Service was so good. All from counter to serving food were polite n patient while we eat after they close. Wish we found this place earlier in our trip. We will definitely be coming here to eat again on our next trip. Can't wait to try more dishes.

We came as a party of 10 so we were able to sit in the back in a little alcove. First glance at the menu and I was impressed. We ended up ordering couple sashimi and sushi platters to share. I ended up getting a combo plate with pork ton katsu and shrimp & veggie tempura. First off the service was great. With a big party, our waitress was very attentive to our needs and very patient. Now on to the food. Sashimi was so fresh and delicious. Sushi was also great! My plate was top notch. Everything came out piping hot and so crispy. Pork Ton Katsu was the perfect thickness and their katsu sauce was on point. Tempura was also great. Batter wasn't too thick and very light along with the tempura sauce. I definitely would go back and try their other dishes. Go check them out! Worth every penny!

My favorite are the tenders in Nashville heat with mac and cheese (which is AMAZING) or their mash potatoes and gravy! Therefore, I don't understand what Michael L. is complaining and regarding his bartender and her personal beliefs that she's ABSOLUTELY is entitled to; as are you! Unless you believe that freedom of speech is just good for a select few? And while your political views differ, it doesn't give you or anyone else the right to push your own OPINION and BELIEFS on others given actual FACTS and TRUTH about the actual state of things! And I find it ABSOLUTELY ironic that you call her anti-Amercan given that supposedly America is supposed to stand for I higher moral compass and protection of humanity, yet, at the moment let's reassess how things are going right now. Furthermore, learn your history bc I also think it's super F****n ironic that you're in Hawai'i talking about being anti-American. Why yes, of course we are anti-America since they have been illegally occupying our Kingdom for over a 100 years! And of course, like everything else America does it's all for FINANCIAL gain. They don't care about who they hurt! #doyourresearch #hawaiididnotwamttobethe50thState Leave my cool people at Willie's alone! They are professionals and they treat all people the same, UNLESS, you want to push your opinions on them and trash them for their beliefs. #constitutiom #freedomofspeech

It is overpriced. $22 for 3 chicken tenders, a side, 2 small sliced pickles and a slice of white bread is a bit much. The food is better than average but it doesn't justify the cost. My main issue is this is one of the places that push the credit card processing fees to the customer. This isn't a tiny mom & pop business that gets little foot traffic. This place is usually pretty busy. I tend to avoid places that push these fees to the customer. This was unheard of prior to Covid but now many places do this and for that reason, this is a place I won't suggest to people or routinely visit. The food is 3.5/5 but overall, I'm giving it a 3/5 because of the high prices and credit card fees.

We absolutely love this place!…read more We come to Kona every year, and we make sure to visit this place at least once! First, the service is ALWAYS great! The hostess and servers are always friendly. Our experience with our servers has been amazing. They were always friendly, efficient, and attentive. This time was no exception! We got the mixed-platter (you get to choose two entrees), and we chose the Korean chicken and short ribs. We chose the artificial crab salad for the side. It came with two scoops of rice, and Furikake sprinkled on top. The short ribs were tender, seasoned, and cooked perfectly (you get 4 pieces). The Korean chicken had a crunchy outside, and the inside was tender. They were absolutely great!!! We also ordered fries, which were well seasoned, but sadly they weren't fresh (hence the 4 stars). They weren't hot, and they were a bit wilted (but we still ate them. LOL). For dessert, we got the Brookie with vanilla ice cream and Chantilly cream. Wow, it was the perfect way to end lunch! There was plenty of seating, but it does get busy. Big tables can accommodate larger parties. 100% recommend!
