Was excited to try this Mexican ice cream desserts place out and nearby where I live. Located in Haines City in a shopping plaza near Zocalo supermarket. Upon entering they had about 6-7 customers inside and upon walking to see the array of sweet selections - a customer told me to watch out on the floor because the cooler is leaking water and that his wife almost had a slip and fall incident but she held onto something to balance her from slipping. Now as a new establishment you would automatically think PLACE A SIGN OF A SLIPPERY FLOOR but nope there wasn't one placed by staff! I verbally then told the staff can they please place a sign before someone gets hurt from a slip and fall ( and a lawsuit). It took staff more than 15 minutes to place the sign to warn customers of the leak. To be honest you can barely see the water leak on the floor. So back to the food review. The establishment is clean and they do carry array of sweets from Agua De Frescas to Ice Creams and Popsicles. Also fresh fruits selections to add to your choice of desserts. I never seen agua frescas stored inside glass see through area like how ice creams are displayed on cases. They had a water and milk versions of agua frescas. Milk versions were Horchata, mixed fruit and strawberry. Water versions are melon, tamarind, hibiscus and cucumber I think. Opted for Melon & Horchata. Horchata tasted good but needed more cinnamon. It wasn't too sweet which was good for me. Melon was delicious with little bits of melon chunks. Not that sweet. Very refreshing. Only downfall with melon is that the fruit pieces float so the server will try to serve you chunks of melon if it allows it lol. They try to leave some left on the container as a presentation thing I guess. Ordered a dessert called Fresca De Crema. Its a strawberry and cream dessert with walnuts and grated coconut. The Souvenir cup is cute so I decided to have it place it inside the cup. Its a plastic cup with the logo sticker. Cheaply made but its cute. So the fresca de crema is this delicious cream with layers of fresh strawberries slices then topped with walnuts and grated coconut with a wafer cookie. Agua Frescas are about $3 ish and The fresca de crema with the souvenir cup is $12 ish. Agua frescas were worth the price but for the souvenir cup dessert to me was pretty steep for the quality of the cup itself. The fresca de crema was delicious nonetheless. They also served Mexican corn in a cup. Also torta sandwiches. I would come back here again for the agua frescas and try out the corn. They lost a star for the leaky cooler. Should not have that for a brand new establishment. 4 stars for the food. read more

I'm originally from Chicago and miss the Mexican sweets shops tremendously! I stumbled upon La Michoacana while searching on Maps for a Mexican restaurant in Haines City. When I saw the photos and saw it was a sweets/ice cream shop, I was ecstatic. Upon finally trying it out, I will definitely be a repeat customer time & time again! They make their own paletas (popsicles) and soft serve ice cream, as well as other treats like aguas frescas, mangonadas & more! My favorites have been the mangonada deluxe and the manzana loca! Finally! Got to try this place out as it has been on my list for a while now. Let me tell you the Michelagua is to die for! We also got the Mangonada which was really good also. I have visited a few locations in other states so I wanted to see if it was the same. The ice cream is good but they don't have a larger variety like other locations. My one complaint is that if you want to see the flavors there's NO easy way of doing so. The setup is easier if you know what you're getting. You don't have time to look and you really can't look at everything before ordering. I usually get the same flavor so once I knew they had it I was good. read more

STAY AWAY!!! Worst place to enter what so ever. These people are rude and disrespectful especially the owner named Victor. I had to report them with the health department because I specifically ask for something i am allergic to and they put it in my food. When i called back to tell them they messed up my order they assumed i wanted free food because the lady lourdes said to come back in and order that it was on them. Best place for some authentic Mexican snacks! It's hard to find a good esquite and mangonada in central florida but they have some of the best!!! Definitely recommend! They can get busy and they're a small place but it's understandable so don't be upset if you wait a little. It's worth it and I keep coming back :) read more

I was the first time I have order from this place la Michoacán's . When I called the store to let them know that the delivery was drop in a wrong place, the manager was rude didn't want to do nothing about it and hang up the phone. That don't want people to give bad reviews but they are super rude with the clients. This review is not just about the issues with the delivery but also with the bad customer service handle by you. When I called you didn't had any type of sympathy or not even said I'm sorry for what happened. You handle it very unprofessional and hang up the call. You need to have better customer service and own what you have done wrong. You don't care if the customer lost their money. Didn't even try to make an effort to take care of the company you have to contract with. You need to be a little less rude with customers that are consuming from you and bringing you business and is not unfair to give you a bad review on what you did. This review is not only on the delivery issue This review is on how you take care of your customers. It would be a good idea that you owed what you as a business person what you did wrong in your part. That why there's more reviews of the staff being rude.
