What a great find! Staff was amazing. I met friends there and was craving just some ordinary coffee. The nice staff man at the counter asked me how I liked my coffee and I told him and he just put something together. I also ordered the almond croissant. The coffee was delicious with almost a floral note to it. Seemed very appropriate for this place. The croissant was super flaky and filled with a delicious almond crème. Absolutely delicious. My friends both ordered the guava and cheese pastry but said you really have to love guava if you want that because there's a lot of filling. We can't wait to go back. I will say because they are located on the side of the busy road the outside can be kind of loud. But the inside only has tables for two. So keep that in mind! read more

When we are at the area, we come to this little healthy breakfast spot. Very popular spot, so prepare yourself for a little line and waiting time.. Everything is fresh and feels like prepared with love. They have all kind of breakfast option from sandwiches to croissant, rolls, buns.. amazing and delicious.. My favorite is the almond croissant but the choccolate one is also very good, we like their hot chocolate and cappuccino as well. This place is the cutest! Parking will almost always be full but there is a solid amount of street parking nearby. I am bummed they are closed on Monday, as I only work in the area M/F but I did finally get the chance to pop by on Friday before noon and they were already sold out of their plan sourdough loaves! Not sure if the AC was broken but it was a bit warm inside-all the ACs in Florida struggle in the summer though, and there is also some shaded outdoor seating. I helped myself to a spinach and onion croissant and a breakfast cookie and promptly ate both. The cookie was chewy and hearty and delicious! The croissant filling was delicious, and I ate half of it cold, it was so tasty but warmed up it was even better. I haven't had a chance to try the coffee yet but looking forward to it, maybe next Friday morning if I'm lucky! read more

The food, philosophy, and atmosphere is all fantastic. Unfortunately, the prices make theme parks look cheap and the serving sizes don't work. The classic ceasar would be a side salad in any restaurant, but at $16 it will be the most expensive side salad you've even eaten. The grilled cheese sandwich is literally just a sandwich and at $10 doesn't include a side. Both together might make a nice meal, but at the price I don't feel like the value is there. Do yourself a favor, drive up to disney and get it from the french bakery in Epcot. read more

I am not from the area but when I saw the name and the offerings from this little bakery I knew I had to try it! I tried the sourdough croissant, the lemon poppi pau pau, orange blossom kouign-Amman and the guava and cheese pastelito. The croissant was perfect!!!!! The lemon poppi pau pau was delicious with a light flavor and delightfully lightly sugared. The orange blossom kouign-Amman I wanted more flavor from. I didn't taste the orange as much as I wanted to. The guava and cheese pastelito was perfectly balanced as the guava was spread to the very edge on the inside. Simply perfect. I also tried the florida lemonade which turned out to be the most refreshing lemonade with orange juice! Now why didn't I think of that! lol perfect name for it. Everyone was so friendly and helpful for my first visit . The bee theme is my very favorite thing so I will be buzzing by for more treats the next time I'm in town! read more

Family brunch adventure!!! Dad out with the girls!!! This was our first time trying The Honeycomb. Let me start by saying the restaurant itself was very clean. The wait was a bit of one as they were busy, but good places usually are. There were 2 employees working the counter. I think they may need one more for busy time, but the 2 girls were very good at what they were doing and had great attitudes. They made us feel very welcomed walking in and even apologized for the wait during our order placement and when we picked up the drinks and food. I appreciate that kind of customer service, especially while busy!!! The wait to place order was about 5 mins, but this allowed us a bit of time to look over the menu for the first time. (They do have a rewards program and it is through cash app, just in case you were wondering!!!) The wait for 4 drinks = 2 summer lemonades, 1 cappuccino and 1 espresso about 8 mins after placing order. Drinks were ready first! Our drinks were out about 6 mins before our food was ready. For food we got the 1 breakfast bowl, 2 avocado toast and 1 slice of quiche. Unfortunately b/c the drinks and food weren't timed to be ready together, our coffees were already on the cold side by the time the food was ready. Hence the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 Would have been great to have a hot espresso with my toast!!! A little better timing was the only improvement I could see needed for this first visit. Everything else's was great the food was fresh and very tasty, coffees were really good and so were the Summer lemonades. Everything without tip was about 55$ for 4. Yummy matcha, pastries and breakfast! We got the quiche, tomato soup and grilled cheese which was absolutely delicious!! Everything was a 10/10. I was visiting my sister in this small town and was so surprised to find great matcha that was perfectly sweet. It's such a cute little spot, the service was great they even gave us a new quiche for free because my sister dropped hers by accident and the soup was peppery and so delicious with flavors of roasted peppers and tomatoes. The portions were great and the mini grilled cheese was the perfect vessel. I loved the dressing for the salad and they loaded it! The quiche was also delicious and full of root veggies. I went in on a Saturday craving a LOX BAGEL and come to find out they only serve it on weekdays. I opted for the Florida French Toast and their special lemonade and also a cherry latte. There is a limited small area to park here btw. I was lucky enough to get parking store front on this day. There was also a line placing an order. There were time the cashier had to hold off taking orders to help the flow of the orders being made from back kitchen. Possible short staffed? Anyway its a cute little bakery in the heart of Winter Haven Florida. So the story behind this bakery is that they used to be a booth at the local Winter Haven Farmers market. They gained success with customers they decided to have a storefront next to Alders Burgers. Now its a local favorite with the locals for breakfast! My experience when I ate here was the prices are steep for what you get. I understand supporting the locals but for me a slice of toasted thick piece of bread with a fresh fruit topping and syrup for $9 on a small dessert dish was ehhhhhhhhhhhhh. I was not impressed with this breakfast french toast because the bread was not custard like. Also I waited more than 20 mins for it to be served to me from the Pick up counter that I almost cancelled the order! Other items placed after mines were being served and I was not happy about that and to see what I ordered ?! I waited more than 20 mins for that?! I had to ask about my order because I really thought they had forgotten my order! The lemonade I was given a option to it be flat or sparkling. I opted for sparkling. So this came in a tall clear glass. And to me it tasted like San Pellegrino Canned drinks with a splash of lemonade juice. It was around $4 ish I think. I sipped on it and I was still thirsty. The cherry latte was interesting for around $4 ish as well. It was served in a huge white ceramic latte wide mouth mug with a frothy milk leaf design swirl and a cherry on a skewer laying on top of the mug. This was delicious but too sweet for me. I think they were big handed on the syrup. Overall - I was not impressed eating here but the items they did have behind the glass looked delicious. The quiche was a popular option and also the almond chocolate? croissant. The quiche looked like a cheesecake at first. but It's how they make quiches here. I might give them another try. But the prices here again are pretty steep for what you get. read more

This cute little shop was beautifully decorated and you can see the love that was put into it in every corner. There's enough room to sit indoors or outdoors. The dirty chai was divine, rich and creamy! Now to the sandwiches I was blown away by the combination of cheeses and sauces in each sandwich! What a wonderful hidden gem. This is a small bakery. I can't tell of they only make sourdough and some pastry. I got a chocolate croissant and I never takes something so crispy & soft at the same time. It's just felt like I eat something super light. I order a cappuccino and that was ok. They open at 7 am and they don't have. Lot of parking space. I went their right when they open. Then I went to my doctor appointment. After that I went back and I got an avocado toast, a puff pasty, & a Florida lemonade. The lemonade was terrible. The toast is amazingly delicious & the puff pastry was so exquisite. We have been following this place on Instagram for a month. It's a bit of a drive for us but decided it would be well worth it. We were wrong. We ordered our food to go. We had to repeat our order three times to the cashier. Not knowing or even being offered by the cashier to heat up our food. The baked goods are on sliding trays on a metal rolling cart directly behind the cashier. The cashier just turns around and grabs your food with a paper sheet and puts it in a bag. Then proceeds to check out the next person. Which means the food is cold, hard and the metal rack is touched several times with the cashiers bare hands after handling money. The food is just exposed to the public on this metal rack. Once we received the to go bag and opened it, we realized it was cold. We then asked the staff to heat it up. Staff member stated she can't because it had already left the counter. Um, ok?! What does that have to do with anything? Again considering their food is wide open behind the cashier. Makes you think twice about the cashier touching money and then a rack of food several times. Yet heating up a baked good that was literally just handed to us in a paper bag, that we didn't even touch is somehow a health issue or some sort of concern for Honeycomb. We just threw our $15 of food away. Also I do not think a fresh baked good should be hard. So I'm guessing the croissant has been sitting for many hours. Wasted time, wasted food, wasted money and wasted gas. All to leave Honeycomb hungry! read more
