The ice cream was great and I loved their Horchata, it tasted homemade and I hope it never changes.

Great customer service. Awesome food. Love the horchata, mangoniada and tostilocos. Reasonable prices. We stop by at least once a week.

There was a huge language barrier here however I was able to communicate with the little Spanish that I know to get the task done. The menu of frozen treats is extensive to choose from. I ended up going for the Chamango which if know me...know that I love Mangos and Pineapples. However the Chamango doesn't have pineapple. Anywho, I ordered and I got my frozen treat in minutes. Honestly the price was not bad for the amount that you get. It was tart, sweet and spicy all at the same time which satisfied my cravings. It's not the best Mangonada I had but it's good for a Madera. The inside was very clean however the location is very hidden and must know basic Spanish. I spend an hour inside watching Novelas in Spanish. Overall, I had a pleasant time here. I may be back as a few of my favorite places are in the same plaza. Definitely love all the unique options they have to offer. I thought they had a flavor called "Tuna" which was like totally did not sound appetizing however Rita a fellow yelper clarified that it is a Mexican fruit that taste like watermelon and strawberry which peak my curiosity even more...so I may be back to try such flavors.

I went in Sunday, Nov 19, 2023, around 5:25pm. 2 of the 3 workers that helped us out were great! They were nice and they asked us about lids and if we wanted anything mixed in, etc, they typical questions you normally would ask a customer. But one of the employees, didn't catch their name, but has jet back hair and bangs, that specific employee was not friendly. I had asked since we had a big order, that I'd want lids on all ice cream cups. That employee wasn't there to hear that, but when that employee handed me my nieces ice cream, which was a very simple order of Oreo ice cream with sprinkles, the sprinkles were not mixed in (i was going to let that pass since it was just sprinkles) and there was a spoon in the ice cream. BUT here's the kicker, i said "oh actually I'd like a lid please." the employee gave me the lid, so all is great but to my surprise, the now dirty spoon that was in the ice cream, ended up in our bag with all other ice creams. Getting the bag dirty. So that's the first thing that happened. Secondly, i ordered mint and sweet cream with gram cracker pie crust and COOKIE DOUGH, as you can see by the picture no part of my order was mixed, not the ice creams or toppings. I was going to speak up but i assumed it was going to get mixed because why wouldn't it? The employee never asked if i wanted it not mixed. So i just think it's crazy how a big chunk of cookie dough on top of ice cream is okay, knowing i didn't specify that i wanted it that way. What honestly set me off on even wanting to post on here is that i thought she had given us 5 clean spoons, but no, she gave us the dirty spoon and not even an extra clean one. I am also surprised that the 2 other employees that helped us out didn't notice that, they weren't busy at all at that moment. Overall, I'm just confused on how that's okay? So, i hope a manager or the owner of the Madera Cold Stone sees this, just to remind their employees to pay more attention. I know it's just ice cream but service does matter :)

I ordered the chicken strip plate #28 and the Mr. Got bacon burger of some variety. It all came out to about $21. Not bad. The seating area is where they lost a star for me. The seats/tables were dirty and the chairs/booths and tables were all at odd angles ro each other. On the whole a smallish thing..but still. Here is where I remind yall I live life with a service dog. This place gets 4 paws up. No issues with access or places to tuck. The food came after a reasonable wt. Oh, my. my chicken strips were snatched right off a raptor! They were huge! They are very thin though. They were cooked perfectly and the crinkle fries were delicious. Hubs was thoroughly pleased with his burger and said it was loaded with all the right things. If we are ever around here at a meal time, we'd def. Stop by for a bite.

The burgers were super satisfying, the fries were crispy, and the milkshake was really good. Definitely has that old-school roadside burger stand vibe. Service was friendly and food came out pretty fast too. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the place felt a little dated, but overall a great stop on the drive back. Would come again next time we're in the area!

I love Handel's ice cream…read more This ice cream shop is a little hidden, and can be found by Trader Joe's in the very busy parking lot. The hours are on the front, and they are open until 10pm nightly with 11pm on weekends. There are lines on the weekends, they move pretty quickly. The decor and seating is so cold and terrible. The ice cream itself makes up for it! My kids like that the menu has photos along with a description of the ice cream, they were able to make their own selections without my help. Its also very intuitive and shares what the scoops look like. We got the monster shake and it's HUGE! The kids got the medium and it lasted them two days (it's a good size) with two flavors. I ordered the same thing and ate it all :-) it's a wonderful spot to try seasonal, new and existing flavors of yummy ice cream. There is something for everyone.

Ice Cream Flavors Long Lines for weeknight…read more Out of several different flavors Customer Service Cleanliness This establishment offers a variety of ice cream flavors, though several were unavailable during my visit. Despite being a weekday, the venue was quite busy, which is understandable given the summer season and the popularity of ice cream among children. The staff demonstrated commendable effort in managing the influx of customers. While the tables were somewhat unkempt and there was ice cream on the floor, it was evident that the team was working diligently. Wait times were approximately ten minutes due to long lines. The portion sizes were reasonable, with one and a half scoops priced at three dollars and some change. Additional charges for cones varied based on selection. I intend to revisit this establishment.
