First, they keep a lot of the good carne asada cuts for themselves, making their tacos amazing. Second, you'll find KILLER pupusas and tortas as all of their bread is baked right in the store. If you're looking for meat, this is the best skirt and flank steak to be found. There are a few stores in this chain, and they are a marinader's best friend. Great meat prices but BEWARE! Their scales must be really off because I bought 35 lbs of meat and I only had 20 lbs of meat. I could understand maybe 2-3 lbs off but 15 lbs? BIG RIPOFF. I pack the meat into 1 lb bags for my mother. This is not the first time this has happened to me. BEWARE! They sell frozen meat which weighs heavier on the scale. Basically, you're paying for meat and ice. I do not complain at the store because I've tried in the past and the manager (female, name unknown) does nada. Will I continue to buy meat here? I'm not really sure because their meat is great meat for a good price. It just leaves a sour taste in your mouth when you are ripped off. read more

I read the reviews online about flies and the place being dirty but I don't see it! The place is exactly what you would expect from a latin meat market. The staff all seem really friendly even if I don't understand what they are saying 90% of the time. The food here is what I am really impressed with! The marinated meats I get here have ALWAYS impressed my friends when we grill and the homemade salsas are amazing. If you go to the far back corner they have a plentiful selection of baked goodies at unbelievable prices. Usually after visiting here I've got food to feed an army for under $25. read more

Awful food. I am a Mexican food fanatic and I have dropped in there a couple of times to look and did not like what I saw. My wife went there last night without me knowing about it and brought back some al pastor and chilli rellano. It all came in a to go box and it was all a big pig slop mess. The refried beans were tasteless, the al pastor was horrible and did not even taste like al pastor and the rellano was just awful. It tasted like it was fried in old used oil. I could not eat this pig slop so I threw it away. I guess the people that work there don't understand presentation because it was all one big slop of mess. read more

This place has the best lunch. Awesome portion size for the prices and the meat is delicious. I've only eaten and the lunch counter and haven't gotten anything from the butcher but every time I'm in Irving for business, this is a definite place to stop. read more
