The service was just okay and the music too loud for my liking, making it perhaps not ideal for families with children. It was very busy and not necessarily spacious. However, the food is transcendent. Everything that we tried was outstanding, even the chicken nachos and quesadilla. They season and cook everything properly. The beef tacos were fresh and tasty and the quesabirria tacos were even better. Great flavor and balance. What takes this restaurant to an elite level is the mole. It is exquisite and a rare find.

When I looked 20 minutes after at my credit card statement read I had been charged $77 and change pending a potential tip on top of that, even with tip included it is still over approximately $7 what I signed off for. We called to determine the prices of each individual meal and "the manager" was stumbling to tell us the prices for everything. Even with the fake numbers that were given to us it still didn't add up correctly. I remember the prices for the 3 meals my family and I ordered and I remember what the check said. I let it be because maybe they need more than I do. As for the food, I'm born and raised on the border of Mexico and although I must say it does scream authenticity especially on appearance the meat is bland, and that "Mexican rice" is by far the worst tasting rice I've had. For a casual person that likes Mexican food you may like it, but if you know what you're tasting you will not. Also, they didn't have 4 different things on the menu available ultimately leading me to have to go with my 5th option. It is very expensive for what it is, and even more expensive when your waitress manipulates the system.

We came around 8:30 on a Friday night and the place wasn't busy at all and we got sat immediately. Our server came to greet us pretty quickly after sitting down, I think her name was Rylee, and she immediately took our drink orders and queso order. I love chuy's cause they just bring you chip refills without even asking. I also love the cilantro lime sauce or whatever it is they give you to dip your chips in along with the salsa. The portions are very large and super affordable for the price. You'll definitely have leftovers to bring home.

It had that very standardized chain-restaurant feel, and several of the dishes tasted more reheated than freshly prepared. It almost reminded me of a microwave meal, which was disappointing considering how nice the restaurant itself is. Overall, great service and a nice ambiance, but the food just wasn't for me. I'd come for happy hour and drinks, but I probably wouldn't return specifically for a meal.

The carnitas plate was absolutely delicious--tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. What made the experience even more memorable, though, was the incredible hospitality from the owners and staff. The warmth and genuine friendliness made us feel as if we were dining in Mexico, with the same outstanding level of service and good ambience. It may be a bit out of the way for some, but trust me--it is well worth the drive. This is a true hidden gem in Miami Lakes. Thank you, Ricardo, for your hospitality. We'll definitely be back!

Nearly everyone around us were screaming in each others faces just to have a simple conversation. So sorry to bury the lead, as I am writing this we are discovering we have food poisoning. I do NOT recommend this place, we went out of our way to come here based on reviews and word of mouth, will not be coming back!
