Food, drinks, and DJ were all great. The short rib on the chilaquiles had a a flavor that lingered on your tongue waiting for the next bite. It was the perfect. I was filled from two quesadillas which had a gooey cheese, eggs, beans, and avocado. Drinks were STRONG, at least on the tamarindo- I could taste the tequila after one sip. The DJ played some of the best music during our Perreo Sunday, so if you're looking to dance while you eat, this was it.

Came here for my friends birthday brunch on a Sunday where they host an event called "Cafe and Perreo". The brunch menu was available and I ordered a really good Bloody Mary with the Seafood Chicharron platter that is huge and shareable amongst 4-6 people. I saw some people order chicken and French toast however, most of the food looked basic and I didn't taste anything amazing. I heard the tacos and other menus are better. However, the vibes are it here. We had a time! The music was great, the DJ played a little bit of everything. We had fun dancing for hours. The staff was really nice and fast considering all the people there. They had those orders on lock. If you want a fun place, Chelo's is it.

This last throwback Thursday, we stopped by Cheka's , specifically their tiki themed speakeasy "Santa Diabla". We paid a deposit/cover charge that served as partial credit for our dinner tab, and had a fun thirsty Thursday! After being greeted by the host and stepping literally past the curtain, we sat on a comfy banquette and started first with the tiki drinks. I'm more of a fan of sweet drinks than my lady friend - blame those Drake songs- and I started with a pina colada old fashioned (pineapple infused Zacapa 23) while she tried another coconut cocktail. We switched over to my usual regular Mojito and her to her Pinot Grigio. As far as food, they have a tapas menu of which we enjoyed their smoky flavored orange chicken wings and the sweet honey seasoned pork belly bites as well as truffle fries. We also ordered, and keeping with the traditional menu from Chela's, their yummy chicken quesadillas. The decor as well as menu art was classic tiki with skeletons and hammocks. As has been my previous experience at Chelas, service in both the Santa Diabla area, as well as the main restaurant where we stopped by before calling at a night, was top-notch! I also appreciated that the weight staff in the tiki area brought us items from the regular menu. Sidenote, they have different music vibes every night and last night was "Despecho" which is like typically heartbreak Spanish ballads. So yes, Chela's is still the place to go for Mexican in Miami Lakes!

I went here with a couple friends and the vibes were amazing! Amazing music and drinks. I got the chicken quesadilla which was a little bit dry, but the atmosphere was so fun so that made up for it.

This place is relatively close by so we decided to give it a chance. The service was great, the employees (Ali C) are very nice, we watched them all work well together. We had the pork nachos and they were very flavorful, the pork meat was warm not hot, also a little short on chips. We had a few libations (chelada & a skinny margarita) and we each had a tequila shot as they say when in Rome. We found the shot glasses to be very small in size and mostly glass, great way to make money. When the brought the check for the evening and we cashed out we also found out about a charge to use a credit card. The food, cocktails and shots are not inexpensive, so the charge for using a credit card was a surprise. Again the employees were great.

I've been wanting to go to this place forever now and I'm so happy we decided to do so today. Our waiter Junior was amazing and very accommodating. Super sweet and great recommendations. The guacamole with chicharron was to DIE FOR! omg who would of thought of adding pork to the guacamole. Amazing! My tuna poke bowl was so fresh and the combination of sweet and savory was true perfection. Highly recommend if you like the raw fish and pineapple combo. My husband has the short rib, cochinito and shrimp tacos and he said they were very good as well. The kids cheese quesadilla was so cheesy and very flavorful. We were actually impressed. I definitely want to come back here because their menu was so extensive that I couldn't just choose one dish lol

Chelas Coctelería in Miami Lakes is a vibrant mix of good food, great margaritas, and salsa vibe!! especially on Friday nights. The rueda de casino brings a wave of nostalgia, and the best part? You don't need to know how to dance! They give basic steps for beginners and keep it fun for everyone, even if you're more advanced. Its also a great spot for families. You can sit outside, enjoy a solid meal, and let the kids hang out while you sip on a well-crafted cocktail. Whether you're into dancing or just in it for the tacos and drinks, Chelas has something for everyone. Definitely a fun, feel-good night out.

Food overly priced for flavor and portions. Drinks okay. Very nice aesthetics and ambience, best for a night out if you're looking for loud music, dancing, and grabbing a beer.

I have been here a few times for lunch, and they never cease to amaze me. Flavorful Mexican-American style food can be hard to find but NOT at Chela's. Everything on their menu is full of flavor & so unique. The Shrimp Tacos have been my absolute favorite. They're a bit more limited on the appetizers available around 12 because they make everything fresh so a few items were still being made. The service has been pleasant every time. Every area in this restaurant is picture worthy & the music always on point. The best part is the events they have throughout the week- particularly Jueves de Despecho for all my ladies wanting to sing their lungs out for girls night. Can't wait to come back for dinner.

Checked this place out for their Sunday brunch with a couple of my friends who were after their oyster deal they had heard about. They enjoyed their oysters and practically ordered all the ones the restaurant had, so if you go in looking for the same deal i would suggest getting there on the earlier side of the Sunday brunch. They offer bottomless mimosas, Bloody Mary's, Bellinis, or monopolio (draft beer) for $25, they do not let you mix and match unless someone at your table also orders something different. Then you can mix with whatever they ordered. The place is really cute, with plenty of outdoor seating and a cute bar. We were sat at a high top by the bar, but the stools were dirty with what felt like kitchen grease so we asked to be moved to a regular table, and we were accommodated quickly. Our waiter was sweet and did his best given it was his first day. I ordered the Lomo Saltado with an egg (as it comes) it was delicious, loved the sauce. I was surprised with the size of the dish. Very generous portions.

My own birthday was celebrated there on karaoke night, and it was one of the most amazing and unforgettable nights. We also celebrated my niece's graduation on karaoke night, and it was another incredible evening filled with friends, family, laughter, and great memories. Seeing an employee post something so negative about an event that so many of us genuinely enjoy is disappointing. From the outside looking in, it seems like there's been a big shift in whoever is running these events. I recently attended both karaoke night and ladies' night, and the atmosphere was completely different from what many of us have come to love. FYI, karaoke night *brings people together*. I can't think of a single time we've gone and not had a great night. That's why this post doesn't reflect what 9 Feet Under has always represented to so many of us. If you work there and karaoke night is that terrible *for you*, maybe it's worth asking yourself why that is. Or perhaps this isn't the right environment for you. But please don't portray an event that has created so many positive memories for so many people as something negative, because that's simply not the experience the rest of us have had. Now you've lost customers!!

I proceeded to walk inside and I found a seat at the bar and I sat there. There were some people in there and I definitely wouldn't say it was dead, but it also wasn't crazy busy. There was three people working one lady with red shorts and curly hair another lady with blue pants and straight hair and then a short guy. I later seen a taller guy as I was leaving, he was not involved in my experience. The lady with the straight hair and the guy were on the side I was on they kept walking past and at no point seeing if I wanted anything, I know some bars you have to get the bartenders attention instead of them checking what you want so after 8minutes, I attempted to get the female's attention a few times for a few minutes and it did not work (she did serve other people during that time and was having conversation with ppl). Eventually, the lady with curly hair came to my side to make someone on her side's drink. I asked if I could order a drink and she motioned to give her a minute. She went back to her side, made the person's drink, then took some new orders from people and made their drinks and served beers.I waited over 6 minutes. Eventually she came to the side I was on and took the order of the person sitting directly to my right, completely ignoring me. At which point I concluded I was not going to get any service in this establishment and decided to leave after a total of 17 minutes of sitting at the bar and being completely ignored. I try to self reflect and think if I did something to warrant this treatment but I couldn't think of anything. The only thing that makes me feel slightly better is there was a guy sitting to my left that had a cup already and he kept trying to get her attention and she seemed to be avoiding him. I'm not sure if everyone was avoiding him for some reason and I was just unlucky for sitting next to him. I hated the feeling that this experience left me with and I hope no one else has this experience. The DJ was pretty good, even playing a few minutes of Reggae which surprised me. I ended up going to the Seminole Classic Casino and got service as soon as I sat down. The DJ was playing R&B and I ended up tipping him he was so good.

After a full day of work, the last thing I wanted to do was drive across Miami in search of dinner…read more Fortunately, Miami Lakes has its own surprises. One of them is 1910 Restaurant & Bar, a Spanish-inspired restaurant that blends premium steaks, seafood, and a little theatrical flair without losing sight of flavor. The meal opened with an order of Cheese Balls, crisp golden spheres that reminded me of pão de queijo, except they skipped most of the bread and focused almost entirely on the cheese. The exterior shattered pleasantly, giving way to a molten, creamy center. Paired with a pineapple sauce, each bite balanced sweet and salty in exactly the right proportions. My wife ordered the Australian Wagyu Flap Sirloin, a 12-ounce cut grilled over charcoal and served with house-made chimichurri. It was everything you hope Wagyu will be, deeply beefy, wonderfully tender, and rich without becoming overwhelming. The chimichurri added brightness without stealing the spotlight. Then came the dish that first caught my attention. The La Reina de la Casa, or "Queen of the House." At first glance, it almost feels designed for social media, a cheese pizza crowned with an enormous grilled octopus. I would be lying if I said that presentation didn't influence my order. Fortunately, this wasn't style over substance. The pizza itself stood on its own with a crisp crust and generous layer of bubbling cheese. The octopus, however, was the reason to order it. It was expertly grilled, tender without a hint of chewiness, and seasoned with a spice blend the server politely described as the chef's secret. Whatever was in that seasoning deserved to remain a secret, because it transformed an already well-cooked octopus into something memorable. Dessert brought things back to the classics with a crème brûlée. The sugar crust cracked cleanly beneath the spoon, revealing a silky vanilla custard underneath. Simple, elegant, and exactly the ending the meal needed. 1910 could have leaned heavily on flashy presentations and premium ingredients. Instead, it paired both with thoughtful execution. That's a far more difficult trick to pull off. Some restaurants earn attention because they're photogenic. The best ones earn repeat visits because the food is every bit as impressive as the photos.

I believe they use basmati rice which is different than most restaurants. Crunchy tostones made in house too, not the frozen stuff thank God. And the portions? I couldn't eat it all so there's that. The joint is nicely decorated and it has a full bar as well as a good wine selection. The service was exceptional and even the manager checks on the table periodically so kudos for that too.
