I went to this food truck and I asked the lady working there for some salsa, and instead of helping me, she just stared at me. With an attitude, she asked me to repeat myself multiple times. Then she looked down at my hands and noticed I didn't have any food, so she told me, "I don't have salsa." I just said, "Oh, okay." Then the girl behind me got her food and asked for salsa, and the same lady gave her whatever salsa she wanted without a problem. Not only was that rude, but it also came across as greedy and unfair. For the longest time I only knew this as "the taco truck at ELAC". However I have finally found its yelp! This taco truck is conveniently located at the community college but does not try to rip off the students which I find very noble. In the mornings, there is a long but quick line to get breakfast items, but I always get the taco lunch special which comes with 2 tacos and a drink for $5. The owner is always gracious and kind, and sometimes he would let me get a bottled drink too! The tacos here are street tacos and there is always an ample amount of meat. I always get the carne Asada and I enjoy the sauces that come with it thoroughly as well. read more

Omg I have so much love for this food truck! This food truck frequently comes to the East Los Angeles College and I have known it ever since when I was a kid. Fast forward years later when I am in graduate school, studying for one of the most important licensing exam of my career, I found this food truck back in my life. I always went for their tacos. Absolutely delightful! I was never a fan of fancy tacos. For me, the best tacos are the street tacos that you find on the streets of Mexico (minus the potential E. coli of course). The tacos from this food truck was a perfect representation of the quality of the tacos that I had when I was Mexico City. Cheap, authentic, and simple. The thought of those tacos carried me through my study grind in the morning. Five tacos at lunch are enough to carry me throughout the rest of the afternoon. The owner is literally one of the nicest man I have met! Great customer service and definitely a respectable individual who worked diligently to make a living to support his family. Props to him! Now that I passed my licensing exam with flying color and am about to graduate, I will definitely keep this food truck in my thought. I genuinely hope that the business of the truck is alive and well during the pandemic because I sure want to come back for some tacos in the future! :) read more

Update: the Salad turned out to be really oily at the bottom, it didn't so great afterwards. But the first 3/4 of the salad tasted great.

A lot of ELAC students get food from this truck. Obviously I can't speak to every single one of their trucks, but I think the one at ELAC is great. It's basically just high quality fast food. Nothing life changing but it's all the good shit you're craving prepared at a good quality and a reasonable price. At ELAC at least there's a lack of good/affordable options on campus so this truck always saves the day for me. They have a pretty extensive menu. A lot of it's not healthy (good fast food is still fast food after all), but they do have some choices that might be LESS bad for you, I guess? The ladies taking my orders are usually pretty cool too. read more

At least once a week I seem to get stuck behind this truck on the 105 freeway going east. Just because you can drive in the carpool lane doesn't mean you should. The truck never makes it over 50mph and brakes every two minutes - even when there are no cars in front of them. Literally no cars because they're going to freakin slow that all the cars that were in front of them have made it to their destination. Please stay out of the carpool lane or keep up with traffic. LA mobile catering serves my school. They have amazing vegetarian options. I love their veggie quesadilla they give you sour cream, guac and red salsa on the side. I'm never really on campus in the morning but I really want to try their veggie omelette but i heard they serve breakfast all day so maybe I'll get it one afternoon. This food truck is pretty good and has tasty red salsa. Never had an issue with them messing up my order or taking too long. My first review of a mobile food truck. I had The Chorizo plate. The rice and beans were delicious! It came with four tortillas real hot in foil. My chorizo tasted fresh and wasn't to salty. I would definitely hit this food truck up again in The Home Depot parking lot In Commerce. read more

When I asked if they could recook the food so that it could be to my liking the lady got mad at me and started saying that that's how it's suppose to be and if I didn't like it I could go else where. SO RUDE. their food is garbage most of the time (I have caught them on a good day and enjoyed what I got, but mostly no). beyond that, whoever drives this truck around town is a terrible & dangerous driver. I haven't had an issue when I see this truck elsewhere, but for some reason when they're on college campus they offer up terrible service. because you're on a campus you can be rude to your customers? that's not good customer service practice. the owner had her back turned to me for over 5 minutes having a conversation with her employee and then when she finally turned around just said "what?" and waited. at this point I was already surprised, but then when I decided to continue to put my order in she responded "what?" again & tried to blame it on her employee "continuing to talk to her". when I asked her if that was good customer service or the way that she interacted with her customers she responded "no, but what do you want me to do if she's talking to me". stop blaming it on your employee and admit that you were rude about it. when I walked away is when she started trying to be nice. go support your classmates and get something from the cafeteria which is a stones throw from the truck. the food is cheaper & the quality about equal (still not great, not going to lie).
