Great place. A must try!! I think we're going to make this our Sunday spot. Everything we have tried has been great. They have music playing. It makes me want to dance, maybe because the food is so good. They have plenty of parking space and tables outside to sit and eat.

Shrimp and asada Gordita! A must try

5/5 Gordita's La Baja is one of the best lunch trucks in Norwalk! Their shrimp and asada gorditas are delicious -- super flavorful and perfectly made. And the Jamaica? So refreshing and delicious. Great service, great food, every time. Definitely worth stopping by! Cute ambiance too!

Gorditas where really good, it's all meat in a nice warm hand made tortilla. Lots of choices. The tried the green chili with cheese, chicharones in red sauce and chicken tinga all delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice location, clean and plenty of sitting spaces. Will definitely return.

    Surface n turf

My husband used his choppers to help me try the surf n turf menu item (allergic to shellfish) . Service was friendly and food served promptly but he felt the flavors were average. Nothing special. Maybe something else on menu would have different outcome.

    Carne asada bowl...delicious!

The salsas also tasted fresh, but they were pretty bland and had almost no spice or kick to them. The biggest disappointment was the premium arrachera burrito. For $17.50, I expected the meat to be the highlight, but instead the burrito was mostly rice and beans. The filling was also very soft and mushy overall. The arrachera itself was chopped into tiny, fatty pieces with very little flavor, and it got completely lost among the rice and beans. It didn't have the grilled, seasoned beef flavor I was expecting from a premium burrito. Maybe this is the new standard, or maybe California food costs are forcing restaurants to cut corners to keep prices where they are--I honestly don't know. But at $17.50, I expected a lot more meat and a lot more flavor. I don't mind paying premium prices for premium food, but this just didn't feel like a premium burrito. The fresh ingredients, fast service, and friendly staff were all appreciated, but the burrito itself didn't live up to the price or the reputation.

Located off of the frontage street, by a grassy street divider, this is a spot to enjoy the eats on the grass like a picnic. I opted this spot, which has a IG of cali tacos please, but no longer exists. This spot on yelp was referred to as sumo tacos. The workers were friendly and very helpful. The sumo fries was delicious. The asada itself was unique. It had a smokey flavor which separates itself from other spots. It appeared to be cooked on charcoal, but given it is a food truck, that would be hard to pull off. The sumo taco was something different. It's cheese melted like a tortilla which holds the asada. It was very heavy, greasy and difficult to enjoy. The chips was a plus where you can rip the taco and place it on the chip. If you want something heavy, this sumo is for you. A bit heavy to my liking, so you might want to try a regular taco or burrito. But then again, it's called sumo for a reason. Curious if this spot would experiment with gorditas, a crisp tortilla. I think their filing would knock this out of the park. I also wish they would advertise what drinks they have. Nonetheless, worth a try.

We arrived around 8:00 p.m., and there was already a line and for good reason. The churros are delicious, fresh, and not stale at all. The perfect crunch on the outside and the soft middle. I even had one the next morning, and it was still amazing. The only downside is that you can't order the cajeta or lechera on the side. We wanted to take everything home and eat later, but having the toppings added on top made the churros soggy. If you're planning to eat them right away, it wouldn't be an issue. Another small frustration was that they had handwritten signs posted advertising arroz con leche and champurrado, but when we tried to order, we were told they didn't have either. If items are no longer available, those signs should really be taken down to avoid confusion. Overall, still a great stop for fresh, delicious churros.

Plenty of meats to choose from, and everything I've had is juicy, packed with flavor, and served hot. The staff is always friendly and the service is surprisingly fast. And don't let the line scare you! Yes, they get BUSY, but these guys move. By the time you make your way through the onion, cilantro, and salsa bar and convince yourself you definitely need "just one more salsa," your food is usually ready. Many nights they're making fresh tortillas right there on the side. Fresh, hot tortillas + juicy, flavorful meat + some jammin' salsa = late-night happiness.
