An amazing place with amazing food and amazing views! One day I'll get back. Very accommodating for our large party of non Italian speakers!

My wife and I were staying at a nearby hotel when we noticed a restaurant perched on the hillside overlooking Praiano, so we decided to check it out. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by beautiful views of Praiano. Our waiter went over the evening specials, and the whole sea bass immediately caught our attention we're both big fans of a good sea bass. The fish was presented whole, then deboned tableside and served with roasted potatoes and olives. It was finished with a lemon butter sauce poured over the top, which really brought the dish together. We also ordered the Spaghetti alla Moressa, a pasta dish served in a fresh tomato sauce made with red and yellow tomatoes. Both dishes were good and quickly disappeared from our plates. To finish the meal, we shared their lemon cake, which was the perfect ending to dinner. Overall, the food was very good, the service was fairly decent, and the views made for a memorable experience. The only advice I'd offer is that if you're considering one of the specials, be sure to ask the price beforehand if you're not comfortable spending €100 for a whole fish. read more

We went to La Moressa and it was very pretty. Big views. Nighttime. Fancy but I was allowed to be there, which I liked. My mom had the tuna. She said it was good, but not as raw as she prefers. My dad had the pasta and ate all of it, so I think that means it was very good. I personally filled up on bread. A lot of bread. No regrets. The staff was kind and very attentive, especially with me. They were patient, warm, and made us feel comfortable the whole time. Good food, beautiful place, nice people. I approve. read more

Unsettling experience- we trekked the stairs up to the outdoor terrace of this restaurant during our honeymoon in Praiano, and as soon as we walked up the staff seemed cold. It felt like they were talking behind our back and after a while we learned why- the manager came and said the water bottles we carry with us (lots of stairs here) were "not possible" to have in the restaurant. We said okay and put them on the ground. The waiter came back and said we probably didn't need to hear the specials, so we just placed our order since we already felt awkward. The entire time we were there the staff paced around our table, I assume to make sure we didn't touch the water bottles, and made us very uncomfortable. We ended up leaving early because there was a palpable disdain surrounding us from the staff. Note: we were dressed for a restaurant, not in beach wear. Anyway, I would advise anyone against coming to eat here because they simply are not kind people. read more

La Moressa in Praiano is an absolute go to restaurant ! We loved it so much that we ate here at least three times in one week. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home each time we visited. The pasta and pizza are simply outstanding - some of the best we've ever had. The service is impeccable, a true 10/10 experience. And let's not forget the stunning view, which adds an extra layer of magic to the dining experience. the drinks were great too! We enjoyed excellent cocktails and a fabulous dinner at La Moressa during a recent stay in Praiano, Italy. The staff is kind and welcoming. Menu is very nice with a range of options! The rissotto was incredible! They also have a very nice morning coffee bar which we visited frequently on our morning walks! Came here for our last meal in Praiano tonight. We had a fantastic dinner, our group tried three pizzas and the Caprese salad, all were excellent. We especially loved the Diablo pizza. The main course was a delicious lobster with a sauce and small grilled salad with red and yellow peppers. It was so good I went back with my guests when they arrived. The pizzas were great and just as good the next day. Desserts sampled were the lemon tiramisu, panne cotte and crème brûlée All very pleasing to the palate. We loved LaMoressa and wished we had discovered it before our last dinner in Praiano! We showed up without a reservation, but early, and managed to get an outdoor table on a lovely night. The staff were very attentive and helpful. We ended up starting with pizza and ate the whole thing. Delicious! Really wanted to try pasta and fish dishes but only had room for a lovely lemon creme dessert. Perfect. I bet would eat here almost every night given another opportunity. read more

At the top of a cliff in Priano Italy you might be lucky as we were to walk into this very nice local establishment. First we were greeted by the very nice staff. Cold water after walking around really hit the spot. High up on the Amalfi coast we had octopus and pizza. It was so fresh and the margarita pizzas were exceptional. The grilled octopus was very fresh. It was windy so the patio with the better view was not available to us. The decor was crisp and clean. Very clean. read more

Went here for dinner while in Praiano, we stayed in Costa Diva and took the quick hike up to the restaurant. Super convenient! We had the scallops, salmon ceviche, pacherri, and lemon and shrimp pasta and they all were AMAZING. The service was great as well. Would recommend! Every dish was so flavorful. read more

Our first night staying at La Maresca in Praiano, the hotel staff suggested this place. We climbed several levels of stairs to arrive, but it was well worth the climb! The staff was very welcoming, the view is breathtaking, and the food is delicious! Being vegan, our choices were somewhat limited, but the spaghetti with tomato sauce and basil was excellent, served with a beautiful mixed salad. We enjoyed the food so much that we decided to do the climb once again the following night (although this time we went much slower after spending the day climbing stairs in Ravello!) Really good food and a beautiful view! We got the margarita pizza and the vegetable pizza, and they were definitely done homemade; tasty! I got the pasta with pesco fresca and ragù. The pasta and the fish both tasted fresh and delicious. The pasta was also perfect al dente, and the presentation of the food was magnificent. The view was also gorgeous with a nice outlook on the ocean. The staff was very kind, and attentive and spoke good English. If you are looking for a cheap meal, look elsewhere because this place is pretty expensive, but definitely worth the price. Also, since it is a more gourmet restaurant the portion sizes are a little bit smaller, but nonetheless delicious. I recommend giving this place a try if you are in the area! read more

My wife and I spent two weeks in Praiano. We stayed right down the street from La Moressa, and it became "our" restaurant. We ate here three times, and ordered pizza from here two other times. Tonight, I had the pasta and ragout squid. It was so good I couldn't get over it. My wife had risotto with prawns. The lemon gave it such a fresh flavor. Our server was great. She spoke enough English to understand what we wanted perfectly. If you spend any time in Praiano, I would definitely put this restaurant on your list! read more

We were so grateful to eat here around 5:30pm with our two young, hungry and tired, children. They had a pizza and we enjoyed a beef plate for two. Also enjoyed cheese ravioli side. Friendly waiter, but food was sub-par. I had the gnocchi, thinking it would be the dumpling type, and was surprised to get 5 large ricotta balls with a little sauce. My misunderstanding... but, it was room temp and the ricotta was terribly dry and there wasn't enough cold sauce to make it better. My husband had the spaghetti with clams. Hot but very little flavor. Best part of the meal was the olive bread on the table. 2 entrees and 3 glasses of wine was 48 euros. We ate at La Moressa twice when staying in Praiano and a third time just for drinks. When we arrived in Praiano, we were famished and stumbled upon La Moressa. It was just what the doctor ordered! I had the la bufala pizza (which I also had my second time), and it was one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten and definitely the best I had on the Amalfi Coast. The comments about the views are spot on. If you can, definitely try and snag a seat on the patio. Speaking of the patio, my one critique. The night we got engaged, we stopped at La Moressa for a drink (get the limoncello spritz) before dinner. We were thinking how lovely it would be to snag seats with a view. Upon hearing we were there for drinks only, they refused to seat us on the patio - important to note that there was no one else there. It wasn't a make or break, but found it to be odd and we were a little turned off. All that said, the pizza is awesome and would highly recommend eating here. read more

The two of us had a very nice meal here tonight. We had an excellent caprese with 3 different mozzarellas and tomatoes in season. The balsamic vinegar was the best quality I have had on this two week Almalfi coast trip. We then shared a pizza loaded with Italian ham, artichoke, mushrooms and of course, cheese.
