So far one of the greatest meals I have had in Sorrento is at Bistro Sorrento. It's a quaint and beautiful spot that offers fresh and decadent meals with exceptional service. Pasquale, Sara and Davide were sure to make this experience a memorable one and a delicious one at that. I will be coming back her to try everything else.

Are you looking for a place with excellent food, fantastic service and the ability to regrow your thinning hair? Well for two of those three you can find no better place than Bistro Sorrento. My wife and I were in Sorrento as part of our Covid delayed honeymoon and saw the reviews of Bistro Sorrento and knew we had to check it out. The restaurant is about a 15 minute walk up hill from the Piazza Tasso, but do not let that dissuade you. If you WhatsApp message the restaurant, the owner will be nice enough to both pick you up and drop you off at Piazza Tasso. Once you arrive at the restaurant, you will be greeted by a friendly staff that will be attentive and accommodating to all of your needs. They provided a variety of bread and a small hamburger with sauce to start. As my wife and I weren't sure what of their excellent selection of steaks to get, we selected the tasting menu. Each item on the tasting menu was better than the last with Beef Carpaccio, stuffed pasta, the best ribeye steamed I've ever had and dessert and limoncello. For dessert we had lemon tiramisu and Ricotta e pera, both were amazing! I have been to a number of Michelin Star restaurants and believe this place ranks right up with those and was even better than a few. Would highly recommend if in Sorrento and I might have had some of my thinning hair grow back.

Having visited multiple places in Italy and Sicily the last time, this place stood out as one of the favorite spots on our trip. Of course we had to stop by again, and we were not disappointed. When in Sorrento, lemon pasta is a must, but I have the say that the true star was La Genovese pasta, which was recommended by our server. My husband still liked lemon pasta best, which means you really can't go wrong. Their bread was also delicious, particularly the white bread and the breadsticks, and they give you balsamic vinegar and olive oil for it. Considering most of the bread we had in Italy was surprisingly disappointing, it's exciting to eat somewhere that the food is good from start to finish. They also gave us one scoop of limoncello and one scoop of lemon gelato for dessert. Both were delicious, but my favorite was the lemon gelato. This is our second time back, and we would not hesitate to eat here again the next time we're in Sorrento. Servers were also friendly and helpful. The food does take a while, but that goes to show that it all is freshly made. This place is great whether it's for a casual dining experience or for date night. They also have free WiFi, just ask them for the info. I love that it's also a family establishment, and family members work at the restaurant. I'm already looking forward to my next visit here.

I made a reservation on Google but when I showed up, they didn't have our reservation, apparently they rejected the reservation which is crazy because I'm so used to just making the reservation online and it's automatically confirmed whereas this place indeed sent me a rejection email earlier in the day saying they couldn't confirm the reservation - not something I've ever experienced before since I always just assumed when you make the reservation on Google, it's already confirmed automatically but I will definitely pay closer attention to my emails in the future. Luckily they were able to fit us in but said we had to be done eating in an hour which was fine with me as we weren't trying to have a long dinner. I got the mixed seafood grill and most of it was dry and slightly overcooked, not much flavor. The grilled vegetables were just the cold appetizer grilled vegetables. The homemade pasta with sausage was alright but not amazing. The ambiance was a nice family restaurant with live music. Kind of tucked away down a side street in Sorrento, but close to our hotel. Our waiter was really friendly and funny, that's the only reason I'm giving this four stars as the overall meal was probably closer to 3 or 3.5.

To start, we had burrata, bruschetta and mixed salad. All were good. The salad was fresh and crunchy (with lettuce, fennel, radicchio, carrot in a light vinaigrette). The sun-dried tomato bruschetta was delicious (with soft cheese, drizzled with honey). The burrata was also amazing (tomatoes tossed in police oil and salt, surrounding a fresh creamy burrata). We had pastas (gnocchi and ravioli fungi) and chicken. I had the ravioli, which was delicate and scrumptious. Everyone enjoyed their meals, though the chicken was very simple. Finally the service! We were greeted with warmth and the service right through was perfect. Thank you!

I like how staff stays by the door to welcome people in, but they don't badger people on the sidewalk to come in like other places. We're thinking of going back even though we only have a night or two left in Sorrento, it was just that good!
