do not go here! the staff was so obviously rude. i came in with my girls for a nice spa day... but from the get go, i had to tell the guy that my nails were put on crooked. he began to tell me that i didn't know how MY nails were shaped so i let him continue to fix the 3 crooked nails. i then have to TELL HIM that he glued the nail onto my skin and he said i was wrong. he continued to speak in a foreign language to his coworkers. then a lady grabbed my phone and told me to come to her. i had her look at my inspo picture and she called over 2 other ladies to discuss that they were going to charge me $70. the picture i showed them was of my own nails from less than a year ago that i got done for only $45... i proceeded to show them a simple french tip and they then again quoted me $70! i was fed up at this point so i asked her to please remove the tips because i didnt want to continue my business here. she looked confused and started speaking in her foreign language again, scoffed and then finally took them off. what was supposed to be a nice day, getting my nails done with my friends ended with only one of us, out of 3, still paying $60 for a simple design. so frustrating and disappointing. read more

I never leave reviews but don't want people to have the same experience I did at LA Nails! The only reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of 1 is because Phuong is an excellent nail technician and always does a great job for myself and my friends. She was unavailable the last time I went so a gentleman who didn't tell me his name (but I believe he is the only guy who works there) did my SNS manicure. He was so rough and kept filing my finger and cuticles. I had to tell him 5 different times that it was my finger he was filing and pulled my hand back in pain a couple times but he didn't even respond, just took my hand back and kept filing. By the fifth time I spoke up, a couple of my cuticles were raw and bleeding. I would have left but this was the last step of the manicure before applying gloss. At this point he pulled out the LED nail dryer typically used for gel manicures and used a gel gloss top coat, which I've never seen done for SNS/dip manicures before. After leaving the salon, the gloss peeled off of multiple nails that same day (pictured on my ring finger in the photo attached which is now matte) and had bubbled up on a couple of other nails. This photo is from 3 days after getting the manicure and my cuticles still look that scabbed and are sensitive to the touch. If you go to LA Nails I recommend making an appointment in advance with Phuong or really anyone aside from this guy! I honestly do not have an issue with the salon itself, just this one technician (I apologize for not getting his name). Hope this helps. read more

Waited for my sister to get an acrylic set...I don't know how it normally takes but it took about 1 hour and 20 minutes. I'm not sure how the "normal" process is but she had about 5 different girls rotating and working on her nails. One wound up being crooked, but whatever. It's clean inside, the artwork kind of makes you tilt your head...it was fairly busy so that must be a good side. I don't do the whole mani/pedi thing, but Id consider getting my eyebrows waxed here ($8) if accompanying my sister again, then will update :) read more

BUYER BEWARE....I will NEVER go back to this place. I live within 2 minutes (driving) away from this place, and I always drive all the way to Waterford to my normal nail place because they are so good, nice, and the price is great. My girl was out of town and I had a business trip coming up and needed to get my nails done, I figured "how bad could it be"? I walked in and said that I would like a mani & pedi. I was directed to a chair by someone who appeared to be the owner or manager, because every time the phone rang, or someone walked in, he was the person to talk to them, get up from taking care of me to go look at the schedule book or take them to their chair. It took me over 2 hours to get a mani & pedi :( While I was getting my pedi, he did not talk to me once. I then went over to get my mani from him. After letting my nails dry, I approached the same gentleman who had done my nails at the counter to pay. I was already a little upset because my nails did not look like a professional had done them. There was polish on my cuticles and my nails were not completely covered. He said "it will be $49". I almost lost it....$50 for a mani & pedi....normally i expect about $10-12 for a mani and about $20 for a pedi. I looked at the wall behind him and the sign said it was $12/mani $23/pedi and a mani/pedi was $32. I asked him why he was charging me so much. He said I had to pay extra since i had gel polish on before and he had to take it off (which he never told me), and he also said that i got the deluxe pedi with hot stone. I told him I had never asked for the deluxe pedi, I had asked for a pedi. He explained that I never told him not to do the deluxe and that he had done the hot stone massage and I didn't tell him not to. This was my first time here, how was I supposed to know he was doing anything different than a regular pedicure. When I walked in I never said I wanted the deluxe, I simply stated that I wanted a mani and pedi. He never asked me while he was doing my pedi if I wanted the deluxe and never mentioned that there were extra charges for anything. He said "sorry you didn't tell me to stop" I DIDNT KNOW WHAT ALL WAS INCLUDED IN A NORMAL PEDICURE SINCE IT WAS MY FIRST TIME. If someone asks for a pedicure, you should ask if they want a regular or deluxe. DO NOT JUST GIVE THEM A DELUXE WITHOUT ASKING OR TELLING THEM AND THEN MAKE THEM PAY FOR IT. I will never go back and will make sure never to send anyone there. And to top is off, within 3 days, my nails are now all chipped, and I am already in need of another manicure. WILL NEVER BE BACK. read more

I love this place! I drive from College Park every week or so for a pedi. The price is unbeatable and the people are very sweet!

Been here 3 times with diff girls. First time was not good but decided to come a second time after seeing another girl working and setting an app with her. Second time was with this specific lady and was fantastic :) came the third one and she is no longer working here so I was with another terrible nail technician. Never in my life a French pedi / mani lasted 2 days ... And all I did was stay home - barefoot. It is Monday and they are all chipped. What a waste of time and money. Also, the man that seems to be the owner smokes in the back and smells disgusting all over .... Never again. I dislike bad reviews but ppl should use caution and be honest about this places. One of my girlfriends and I decided to swing by for a pedicure on Sunday. Worst pedicures we have ever had. They had us out in 30 minutes and were fairly rude in the process. Absolutely horrible. If you ask them to do something even as simple as cutting your nails shorter they make up some excuse as to why they can't. Even if you know they can from years of getting your nails done. They are sloppy and disorganized. I made an appointment in advance for a pedicure and manicure. Pretty simple. They told me that no I didn't and now I have to wait an hour to get a manicure. They also yell through the salon in Vietnamese so if you plan on talking to someone you're going with forget it. Also, if you like the massage with a pedicure then you will be extremely disappointed. They literally just rub the lotion in. When I asked for even a little pressure she said "no my hands." What does that even mean? After years of getting my nails done I have to say that this is the worst salon I've been to. Avoid like the plague. read more

Worst experience in a salon I've ever had! I got a gel manicure and a pedicure. Took the woman two hours to finish. I paid and left, but as I walked to my car and examined my manicure closer, it was a complete mess! The technician had cut my toes twice, the polish was sloppy, bubbly and all over my fingers and toes, and my nails were sharp crooked and jagged. I went back inside to show them and they told me it was my own fault for not saying something earlier. They refused to give me any kind of discount and argued with me in front of other customers. The owner drove to the salon because he refused to refund me until he saw my nails. When I told him that I had been cut on my feet he said "hmm only a little bit." Interesting because it was my understanding you shouldn't cut anyone at all! He insisted that if I wanted a refund that they had to take all the polish off, but that I still had to pay for the pedicure. I turned to have the woman remove the gel and the owner for some reason hit me on my arm I'm assuming to get my attention. I was very offended by this and asked him to please not touch me, then told me to "take the money and just go." Super unprofessional and rude! And the place is completely gross. I don't recommend ever setting foot in here. Oh and less than a day later, the gel polish is chipping off, waste of money. read more
