I wasn't expecting such good Mexican food in mineral VA especially given the price! It was a pleasant surprise and I will definitely go back

Let's taco bout this busy spot in the heart of Mineral! We were on our way to Culpeper and had a hankering for Mexican food, lo and behold, we spotted Sabor! Upon entering, we were greeting by a pleasant lady who was a busy bee! We ordered our meals "to go" and while we waited, this lady brought us our sodas and chips & salsa to snack on. The festive decor was typical of most Mexican restaurants. It was clean, but with some supplies stacked against the walls and cluttered counters which were a bit of an eyesore. The restroom was nice and tidy though! You can tell this is a hopping place for locals because they flocked here! True, there aren't many other joints in this small town! Nevertheless, on this beautiful spring day, several customers were enjoying the outdoor seating with tables bedecked with bright market umbrellas! Others were inside the galley styled floor plan, munching on their meals! Our food came out Piping hot and well packaged with additional chips and salsa! The tortilla chips were warm, delicate, crispy. I chose the taquitos, because what's easier to eat on the road than a rolled taco?! What a huge portion for the price! My entree came with two hefty beef and two yummy chicken taquitos on a bed of rice, served with lettuce, tomato, cheese, guac and sour cream! I wish I had taken a photo before I chowed down! The meats were tender and juicy, with flavorful spices and packed a wallop! Amazing! My sis ordered the chicken quesadilla and was equally impressed with her meal! Once we arrived at our destination, we finished up the tangy rice and sides! We savored every bite! The prices were great and service was fast, and I'll be sure to stop into Sabor, meaning "to taste", next time I'm passing Mineral, VA for a taste of Mexico!

A simple Mexican restaurant with very average food. Although service was sufficient, the down draw is the food both in quality and quantity. Our party of six all agreed to this rating for dinner. The meals were relatively smaller in size and the quality is just mediocre. Nothing special about any dish. Ambiance is low budget. You get what you pay generally and when I paid the bill, all the prices reflected a 10-25% increase from the menu prices. This is deceptive. I gave this place a 3* which I think is generous. Looking for some improvement if I return.

This is a great restaurant in a cute little town. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but boy wait to you sit down and get a taste of the real authentic Mexican food. The business is family owned and run. Super curtious people who get their delicious food out quick! You cannot beat the price either! I promise you will not be disappointed to drive a few extra miles out in the country for this great food.

An absolute gem in town. We were visiting and got take out after the long drive into town. This place is very cute on the inside. We got our order quickly and it was so much food. Portions were very generous. Also the salsa was delicious. I loved what I got (carnitas) and what my sister let me try of her food as well. It was delicious and I'd recommend this place to anyone.

Nice Mexican joint in a very small town. The decor is typical mexican cafe but kind of quirky. Doesnt look like much from the outside, and some areas look a bit cluttered inside but dont let that fool you. It was very clean and tidy. Lots of tables and booths inside as well as some outside. We were quickly greeted by a very pleasant lady upon entering who took us to our seat. Soon after someone dropped by with a basket of chips and dish of salsa. The chips are light and crispy and the salsa addictive. Our server took out drink orders. They have a full bar , beer and wine, though it is not on the menu. Margaritas are a good size and delicious-beers ice cold, great prices too. We ordered a couple plates. Tacos, burritos enchiladas and chile rellenos. They arrived piping hot and the cheese melting. The flavors are good. You kind of need to let it cool a bit and congel. All were delicious. Good portion sizes. Other dishes I saw being served looked equally well prepared. The staff was friendly as well other customers. Its kind of a local favorite, so they get quite busy. We had a great time and enjoyed our meals very much. This is a hidden gem for sure !!

The restaurant is in a strip mall, behind the Walgreens on Main Ave, with ample parking. The restaurant, which has a good number of booths and tables, was nearly empty given the off-hours. We were greeted quickly, and were offered our choice of seats. The waiter took our drink order (only water today), and brought out fresh, hot tortilla chips and salsa almost immediately. The chips were fried to perfection, though the salsa was a bit watery and spicy for our tastes. We ordered off the lunch menu -- each getting a taco salad in a crispy flour tortilla bowl. My husband ordered the beef; I got the chicken. Each was served with refried beans, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and sour cream. The salads were value-priced at $6.25 each, and were appropriately sized for lunch. Husband's salad had a good amount of beef; mine was a little light on the chicken. The menu is extensive with appetizers, main meals, desserts, and drinks. We plan to return at a busier time to check out their margaritas, and perhaps on a Sunday morning for their Sunday brunch. ($11.99 for adults; $7.99-kids) or on a Tuesday for Taco Tuesdays. Overall, we're giving a 4* rating. Food - 4. Service - 5. Very attentive and friendly. Ambiance - 3. Could use some updating, and would like to see when more crowded.

My son was initially charged $34.39 for two frozen mango margaritas at the bar. Later, he went back up to the bar ordered one frozen strawberry margarita (listed at $15) and a tequila shot ($6), yet was charged $58.46. When I questioned, the female bartender about the price of a frozen margarita, and shot she immediately stated it was $15 and $6 stated that they thought the two earlier frozen mango margaritas had not been paid for. Obviously that was a false statement because they would've never allowed a patriot to walk away without paying for drinks from the bar this was just a way to justify them overcharging him. Although a refund was issued after I raised the issue, it was still inaccurate only $30 was returned instead of the full $34.39, excluding tax. Additionally, no apology or clear explanation was provided. This experience reflects poorly on the establishment's billing accuracy and transparency. Customers should carefully review their charges, as pricing appears inconsistent for identical items. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this establishment.
