We were greeted promptly upon entry and only waited a few minutes before being seated. I ordered the shrimp bowl with added mushrooms and a side of chipotle vinaigrette. I was initially given a veggie bowl by mistake, but our server quickly brought out the shrimp to make it right, which I appreciated. The portion size was good, but I will say my bowl wasn't as flavorful this time. Still, the food was fresh and hot. La Parrilla is my favorite Mexican chain restaurant. Regardless of the location I have never had a bad experience so I was happy to see that there was one located in middle Georgia. On our first visit the line was out the door with people waiting. When my husband and I walked in the amicable hostess said the wait would be around 30 minutes, but we only had to wait for 10 minutes. The ambiance was casual and lively. Their chips and salsa are always good, the salsa has a little kick to it definitely some of the best salsa I've had. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We started with drinks and both ordered the special Merry Margarita and it was good. I've tried many drinks on previous visits and they are all good, one of my favorites is the Pina colada. My husband ordered the mango salmon during this visit, the food was prepared well and he said it was ok. I ordered the Camaron tacos, I had the option of getting my shrimp tacos fried or grilled, so I chose 1 of each. My tacos were delicious and filling they came with beans and rice which were also good. When I have family in town and want to make sure their appetites are satisfied and that everyone will like the food, I take them to La Parrilla. They can accommodate large groups and service is always outstanding. I found the food quality at La Parrilla to be superior. The problem is, this is another one of those restaurants where the service doesn't match the quality of the food. When servers are spread too thin, this always results in several obvious effects, the most noticeable of which are: A) The time it takes from first seating to placing your food order, and B) the frequency of drink refills. Restaurant was good - my kids were a pain- felt sorry for server - it was her first day! If you get the kids meal they get a free drink so make sure double check receipt. My son had shrimp taco on a hard shell - his came with like a Mexican lettuce - coleslaw on top - we had to ask for a new taco so keep that in mind when ordering. My daughter had kids chicken fingers - I had ALA cart "steak tacos " just FYI a side of sour cream is enough for whole table and like $2.50 so when you get for just two tacos there is a lot of waste . At this point I truly believe you that I am on a mission to visit every location of this restaurant in Georgia perhaps. This restaurant never ever disappoints. Even though you know it's a franchise you going to get the same food, the same quality, and just about the same service at every single location. Consistency is top notch here. Our server Miranda was a beautiful person. She was so personable and so informational. It was just a pleasure to be around her almost like she was one of the family. No lie. We ordered what we always order. Texas fajitas, guava and blackberry margaritas, and the la parrilla dip which comes with steak and shrimp. I ate so much dip and salsa that when it came time for my food, I was nearly full. That's always a plus to have another meal later. What can I say that hasn't already been said. Wow... amazing food and awesome service. The meal started off great with light crispy chips and a tangy delicious salsa. I wanted to keep it light so I got shrimp soup. Wonderful flavor was very hearty because it had rice , nice size shrimp and a side of avocado. I got a side of refried beans which was also really good and a great texture. He helped me decide which flavor margarita to get and man oh man!! That passion fruit marg was DEEEEELICIOUS!! It had real passion fruit flavor, not the pink or purple additive type of stuff. The young lady who took my takeout order bent over backwards to make sure that my dietary restrictions were adhered to. She also explained things on the menu that I was not familiar with. Everyone was super nice. There was even someone to open the door coming in and going out for me who greeted me pleasantly as I came and went. Lately, since the price of things have gone up, I have had a hard time finding chicken or beef at a Mexican restaurant that tasted fit to eat. This meat tasted like real chicken breast in my chicken taco! it was seasoned to perfection as was the ground beef ! I had two tacos: one beef and one chicken, a chicken enchilada and something else I forget the name of that the young lady explained to me with beans and chicken and I wish I had some more. I had to make myself stop eating before I got sick, it was so good. I can't say enough good things about my service and my meal tonight. I will definitely be back there! First time in this area stopped in because they had outdoor seating and it was a beautiful day. The food was delicious. My husband had a torta and I had the vegetarian black bean enchiladas. My mom and I were in Macon in order for her to purchase a vehicle. At a certain point in the process, the was an extended time where we were going to be waiting around. Jason, the absolute gem of sales sent us to have lunch instead of waiting...and we went to lunch at La Parrilla. We were greeted by the hostess (I wish I would've gotten her name so she could have an acknowledgement of outstanding service as well), who was all smiles and so very welcoming. She sat us at a booth which was comfortable and clean. Our server, Amy was there within 20 seconds. We ordered the nachos, and thank goodness we had decided to share, because it was shareable size, and the proportion of toppings matches the amount of chips. They were soooo good!!! Throughout the meal, she was on top of everything...our drink and food order were at the table so quickly! For the nachos, the hot parts were hot and the cold parts were cold, so it was obvious is was not sitting in the warming window. Our drinks stayed full, and she was so attentive to anything that was needed. I only mention the very first sentence about buying a car, because even for two independent women, this can be a draining day and Amy had no idea about what we were experiencing, but she made our day when she introduced us to the sopaipilla dessert...a fried dough in a honey sweetened sauce with chocolate drizzle and whip cream...oh my goodness...thank you Amy for an incredibly wonderful lunch, and for helping to give us a few minutes to just be, recharge with food, and taking care of us completely. We will be back at La Parrilla whenever we take the car for service, and will ask for Amy's section. To whomever is the owner or manager, your staff was welcoming, warm and friendly, the food was wonderful, and cleanliness and ambiance were top notch. Great job to the whole restaurant! Spending the night in Macon on our way back north we needed some dinner. Since it was now too cold to eat out we opted for take-out from this nearby Mexican restaurant. We placed the order by phone and it was ready within 20 mins. We went to pick it up and the place was an absolute zoo - who knew this shopping mall and this restaurant were so popular. We got our food and ran. We both got the enchiladas verde. The portion was big for the price but the food itself was just OK. They did a good job of packaging the lettuce, tomato and sour creme separate. The verde only came with pulled chicken, not by fave and there wasn't a lot of green sauce on it. Chips and salsa also came with the order which was nice. Overall good not great. read more

For no particular reason, I've never been to this restaurant so my friend and I decided to give it a try. The atmosphere was nice and inviting, the place appeared clean, and orderly. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The drinks were delicious, particularly the passion flower mojito! That being said, the drinks are overpriced for the sizes. The menu has plenty of options but not so many as to overwhelmed the customer. The chicken quesadilla was tasty but a bit dry. The shrimp salad was a perfect portion size and also tasty. Our waiter, Chris, was awesome! He was friendly, personable, made us laugh over and over, and was a really good up-seller! First time going to one of these locations on a Saturday and we had to wait 20 minutes which is not a big deal. Hosts were friendly and the waitress was super friendly and attentive. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Chips and salsa were good. The salsa has a nice kick to it and has a lot of flavor. I got a small cup of sopa de pollo and a cheese quesadilla and the soup was super flavorful. The taco loco was good according to my sister. My mom got quesabirria which was pretty good also. Managers come to the table to take dishes out of your way and make sure you're good. Awesome service and great food! We will definitely come back.
