Another big night at La Bella. Took my neighbor Enoch there last night and wow double wow as the Margaritas were perfect frozen too just how I enjoy them. Ordered the Carnitas stewed pork in a nice semi spicy onion sauce that was delicious. Rice & Beans and a Mexican corn on the cob costed in their white appears sour cream and spicy red mix. What ever it is, get you one. Mary our bartender is so nice and friendly too. Just really enjoy this offering. The ownership, all family who take great pride in what they do. Enoch had a steak stuffed burrito with sides. We both recommend the green sauce to jazz up the plate which comes in squeeze plastic bottles. Red bottles hot hot so pick your weapons wisely. This place wasn't bad. It's your typical "authentic" Mexican joint. The salsa was pretty good, the freshly prepared guacamole was good but the portion was a little disappointing. I had the Tacos Al pastor, or was decent. The service was good, the waitress was efficient friendly and kept our drinks filled. The ambience was ok wasn't awesome but I don't expect much when it comes to ambiance unless I'm eating at a super expensive restaurant. It was clean, that's all that matters. If I remember correctly they had a health score or 90, which, while not awful isn't great. read more

I'm tempted to call this a hole-in-the-wall place because if you're just driving by, you may miss it. We found this restaurant by a yelp search of course and had to stop in and try them. And let me say, we have returned numerous times since then! We have also introduced friends and family to them. When you enter the first door, enter the restaurant through the door on the right. The bar sits in the middle with lots of booths and table seating available. Depending on the time of day, you may end up seating yourself or they will have a host/hostess seat you. Very friendly and attentive staff. We enjoy sitting at the bar and watching them make drinks as well as watching the overhead TV. The drinks are dangerous *wink wink*. The food is delicious. You can tell it is prepared with fresh ingredients. I typically go for the quesadilla or quesabirra tacos. My husband loves the street taco options. They have fresh salsa and hot sauces as well. Don't be afraid to ask for substitutions either as they do try their best to make accommodations. Restrooms are decent and large. Located in the back hallway. Loved this spot! Found it on Google and decided to try it out. It was quiet and slow at 1:30pm on a Friday afternoon. We sat ourselves and a waitress immediately came up to take our drink order. We got a Paloma and a sweet tea. The cup was so cute we wanted to take it home! The service was 10/10. Our waitress was so kind, quick on her feet, and helped us properly pronounce a few items. The food was delicious. We got 4 carne tacos, a quesabirria taco, and churros. The quesabirria was the star of the show with the churros quickly following. First off let me say eating inside the restaurant is a different review BUT a delivery is an OMG awful the food was cold plain and blah nothing like you get in the restaurant. It doesn't come with salsa or chips. I called thinking they forgot and they said "it doesn't come with with take away" (and rude to boot) now that's fine BUT NO SALSA!!!!! Come on guy you need the salsa, it isn't Mexican food without it. Below is what we ordered we both ordered burritos so I only took a pic of one (it looked exactly the same). The other was 2 yes 2 orders of churros. So to I have to say a thank you to Taco Bell for having put extra sauce in my last order. Do better guys read more

I found Bella Morelia when I was at home for a weekend and craving some birria tacos. I wasn't that hopeful considering that Macon, GA is a small town and doesn't always have diverse food choices. I was pleasantly surprised to stumble across La Bella Morelia! I placed my order online for pick up and went to the store to pick up. The staff were so nice and accommodating and ensured that I was happy with my meal before I left. The restaurant atmosphere was super cute and the restaurant had Mexican decorations and music plying to add to the vibes. I really really wanted to like my food given that the service had been excellent and the staff was so nice and friendly. However, I honestly was not a fan or the birria tacos that I ordered. I was in Macon and trying to think of a good, tasty lunch and a colleague suggested La Bella Morelia. I am glad he did. It's so good to have proper Mexican food. The tacos are just the sort you'd get from a taco truck: the standard come with onions, cilantro, and lime--and they're incredibly tasty. You can get nearly every option, and I went with a carnitas taco, a chorizo taco, and an al pastor pork taco. The carnitas were *perfect," as was the chorizo and al pastor pork. Authentic Mexican tacos! I was driving thru Macon on my way to Savannah and hungry for lunch. A quick yelp search revealed this place and I love a good taqueria. I ordered 3 tacos - 2 pastor and 1 campechanos. I loved the campechano, it's a mix of steak and chorizo. I didn't really like the pastor, it was a bit fatty and tasted kind of gamey to me but my dining partners all ordered it and thought it was good. If you know me since 2013 I've been a fan of Tripas. So every city I go I must try Mexican food and specifically Tripas Tacos or any derivatives ... This spot didn't disappoint. They had some amazing tripas. Not over crispy or under cooked. Just perfect. In the city of Macon lots of venues close on Monday but this spot was opened as I was looking for some food downtown. My friends and I came here because we saw that there were lots of good reviews. We have since decided that the majority of these must be fake. The service was fine but the food was entirely inedible. The waitress didn't even offer us to-go boxes because she must have agreed with us. My dish tasted like the equivalent of chewing on a cattle ranch work boot. Dinner last night. This isn't your parents' Tex-Mex Combo#2 with rice and beans place. Much closer to a taqueria in menu and food. Lots of Northern/Central Mexico taco fillings, like al pastor and lengua. We had gorditas and tacos, which were quite well cooked and tasted great. Too often the meat is overdone and chewy. Not ours. The gorditas were crispy outside and moist/tender inside. Cheese dip was what we wanted .... melted white American cheese. Nothing great or bad. Not over diluted like some places. Server was nice, seemed engaged and wanting to do well .... but looked like she might be new to table service. Not awful, but just no groove, and took long time to get stuff. Juggling 4 tables all arriving same time can be tough on anyone, but new server can struggle a bit. She'll be fine with some time under her belt ( we are assuming she is new). We would definitely come back for the food and another chance with service. A Tuesday night was pretty slow customer-wise, so we will try another weeknight. Not a mask wearing place, but table separated well, so distancing in place. Masks would make us feel better about it, especially if more traffic. read more

I tried La Bella Morelia and am undecided on it overall, could either take it or leave it. Yes, it feels more authentic. They have minimal lighting inside, flowers on the tables and the southwestern color palate going on. The menu is extensive, yet simple. Most of the menu is a la carte. You have options, but don't expect the hipster bells and whistles you may get elsewhere. I tried a few tacos: Al Pastor (pork), Barbacoa (beef), and Nopal (cactus). This is where my indecisiveness comes into play. The tacos were fine. The meat, both beef and pork, were super dry and kind of flavorless. The cactus was too, and clearly from a can, which ok where do you find fresh cacti in middle Georgia. My tacos also were covered in cilantro, like it was cilantro city up in my tortillas. Did I eat them? Yes. Would I eat them again? Maybe. Hard pause. Maaaaybe. I also had a horchata, which I enjoyed. A little creamier and it had jicama added to it which was a little different. My waitress and the woman who I paid at the register were both very friendly and welcoming, and quick service. I'd give La Bella Morelia another shot and order something different, like the Mole or more traditional Mexican items. read more
