Came here during Cleveland Pizza Week with another couple, where we tried a bunch of dishes to share. Hardly anyone inside, so we had the server basically to ourselves. We ordered a house salad, meatball appetizer, split pea soup and a cuatro formaggi pizza pie. Everything came out hot and fresh. The meatballs were served in a moat of bright tomato sauce. The split pea soup was creamy and topped with beautiful (edible) flowers. The pizza had super-puffy crust and the combination of cheeses really went well together, Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals, would definitely return if in this area again.

Tonight was the monthly Cleveland pizza night and Pecora was up. Very cool vibe. Friday night and we had reservations but the place wasn't packed. Found street parking. Our waitress, Paula, was sweet and knowledgeable. Great service. Had the Blond Italian beer. Light and perfect with pizza. My hubby and I split the three meatballs. $16. Delicious with tasty sauce and I asked for some bread since the sauce was calling my name. We usually get pepperoni pizza but decided with the Neapolitan since from the story of this place the owner went to Naples to learn to be a pizza maker so I thought it would be smart to try it. The crust is chewy and delicious. I think just a teeny bit more sauce and cheese would have made it better, but it was very good. Perfect amount of anchovies. Then we topped off the evening with an affogato. Damn, so so good. May not have been gelato but instead some high quality vanilla bean ice cream. Delicious! Definitely a "go back again." Some cute stuff- the menus are little books and they bring the check in a little book. Super cool decor.

Great ambiance, great staff, creative cocktails, and truly awesome pizza! I splurged and got everything I wanted. Salad, a whole pizza, a cocktail, and two beers. My bill was under $50! Definitely going back for more sooner than later.

My Lord in Heaven- the bread service, split pea soup, and 4 Formaggi were out of this world. Wonderful service- 10 out of 10!!!!

Eight years worth of Fairmount moments later, this review is well overdue. AMBIANCE: The ambiance allows you to slow down and enjoy your company. The restaurant is dim lit, has fireplaces, and loungey atmosphere. It somehow feels warm and I heard a lot of people refer to it as a second home (people are always so friendly here!). There is ample space - three bars, main dining space, and huge outdoor oasis bar. Nestled in Cedar Fairmount neighborhood, you'll also be able to enjoy historic neighborhood. There are seating arrangements if you're craving company or want to enjoy your date. Seating options include couches by the fireplace, tables, and high tops. Fairmount is delightful during every season. During the summer you can enjoy the bar and patio. In the winter you can dine at the igloos. I prefer all seasons here. FOOD/DRINKS: The menu at Fairmount is impressive and has exciting seasonal/weekly additions. You'll never get bored. The cocktails here are refined, very boozy, and very well crafted. The food is seriously delicious, and consistent every single time. I've been impressed with every dish. The dishes and drinks frequently follow the seasons. During my latest visit I enjoyed Butter Pecan Warm Cider with bourbon ($12, so bold and boozy, tastes like fall). I also ordered Fig Trouble Little China ($15, a more rich version of Old Fashioned, so delicious). I also tasted Short Rib & Risotto for the very first time ($28, such a delicious dish, every bite was just amazing). My favorites? Ah, so hard! I'll go with the Fairmount Burger! It's angus beef burger with bacon-fig chutney. It's so delicious! I can't even be serious about meat at the other burger places, this is easily the best burger in the city. My seasonal favorite? Kevin McCallister seasonal drink that resembles coquito or eggnog. The drink is topped with rice paper that includes the design of Kevin from Home Alone. It's such a fun tradition! I look forward to this drink all year and always tell the world about it! SERVICE: The service is excellent. I haven't been anywhere where service is right on point every single time. Everyone is nice - the owner, hosts, and waitstaff. You truly feel seen and like the most important guest. I've visited previously while on dates and frequently dine here solo, always had the most pleasant service. EVENTS: Many people book events here for their non-profits or companies. As far as individual events, Fairmount hosts a fun NYE party every year! PARKING: Onsite parking lot is available at the back of the building. You can enter through the front doors on Cedar or right through the parking lot door. There are numerous reasons why I love the Fairmount. I consider it to be the best dining experience in the Cedar Fairmount neighborhood of Cleveland Heights. I also love how the owner Jake is very engaged in the community and is incredibly friendly with the surrounding business owners. I'll choose this place again and again for calming ambiance, crafted cocktails, and delicious food. To many more years of Fairmount and at Fairmount!

We had the arancini, root vegetable latkes, fried calamari and veal meatballs. The sauce for the meatballs was the kind of sauce you want more of to dip your bread into. The meatball was perfectly seasoned and tender. The star is the calamari. Do not let the idea of kimchi throw you off, it made the dish. My husband does not like kimchi and he polished off more of this than I did. Service was top notch both in service and conversation. And while the tavern is small, it just adds the right vibe.

This neighborhood is one of my favorites because of the hidden gems quietly tucked in this residential area. I know they serve food, but we just came for drinks. It was very busy during the week about 6pm. We were able to sit at the bar. The bar was filled with regulars, most of whom were friends with the bartender. She was not enjoying her job this night and appeared stressed sounded annoyed. She did make us drinks and warmed up slightly, but I hate feeling like you're putting the staff out just by ordering a drink off the menu. We ordered an Alligator Lounge and Yada Yads. Both tasty. I felt drinks were on the pricey side for what you get. It's a very popular place and feels intimate. I would try it again when back in the area.

What sets Parnell's aside from other Irish pubs is that it's pretty classy and sophisticated with dim lighting, nice ambiance, Irish charm, and well curated drink menu with more than just beer. By the way, the beer is really good too! I've been to Parnell's for a wide range of occasions - book club, date nights, and even Irish New Year! All very memorable and pleasant experiences! Parnell's is a cozy bar with limited seating including the bar, high tops, a few tables by the windows, and a small room in the back. On weekends the pub gets very lively and busy. On weekdays you'll usually find more room to roam. It's a great destination to spend your whole evening, have some drinks before or after dinner. No food is served here, but there are so many options within the walking distance (neighborhood is safe to walk in day and night). Genuinely you can't go wrong with any surrounding food choices. Many people come here to socialize, have a beer solo, play board games (bring your own), or spend their time at happy hour. Service is always very pleasant and attentive. It's also important to mention that as a single woman I always feel completely safe in this space. Everyone is welcoming and social! The pub is well known for their beer and whiskey. As far as beer, you'll find a variety here - Guinness of course, and local beers - Harp, Butcher & The Brewer, and Fatheads. Tonight I tried The Repeater Euro Lager from the Butcher & The Brewer ($8 + $0.16 credit card surcharge). It was a very smooth lager. I'm not quite a beer connoisseur, but I always felt that beers here are really good. You can also find flights (whiskey, bourbon, etc), wine, gin, vodka, tequila, and rum. Don't overlook their QR menu (found at the bar) with their special drinks. I had mixed drinks here and can attest to the fact that they were very strong, with high quality liquor, and delicious. I mean it's the quality I'd expect at a swanky speakeasy, not a pub. So it's a huge compliment. You can find their menu here: https://www.parnells.pub/drink or scan QR code at the bar. Parking is available at the lot in the back of the building (free). There is also plenty of street parking. Although watch for any posted parking signs. Most importantly, visit Parnell's for Irish NYE! They celebrate NYE during Dublin time (much earlier than NYE). There's a large festive crowd, countdown, and champagne. It's the most festive NYE I've been to, so full of Irish spirit and spirits! You haven't lived until you celebrated Irish NYE! I recommend visiting Parnell's whether for a casual after work pint (especially if you're close to the location at CWRU or the Clinic), a casual date (it might a little loud but you'll have so much fun), a gathering with friends, or really any occasion. My every experience has been very positive, and I know yours will be too!
