Best place in Puerto Nuevo. Mr. Lupe Padilla personally takes care of you and let's you select the fresh lobster! Amazing seafood soup, lobster busque and LOBSTER is just perfect! By the way don't dare to miss the flour tortillas! Definitely coming back! Best than bigger chain lobster places down there!

I HATE BEING RIPPED OFF! The nice gentlemen who helps you park your car in front of here told me and my friends to come to Perlita for $20 you get 2 lobsters, margarita, soup, beans and salsa and chips. With a ocean view at the top. When we went inside, the worker immediately said no ocean view dining and that it is closed. First Red Flag! When the server brought our fresh lobsters to show our table he was automatically saying $30-$40 depending on which size we choose. I asked about the $20 lobster and he said they do not have. SECOND Red Flag! Everytime I tried to tell him that the guy outside said something different he would just shake his head and say no. I wanted to leave but my group was just hungry and was okay with $30. Every person I spoke with who has been to Puerto Nuevo and speaks spanish told me they ripped us off. Never will I come here again. No Matter how good the lobster bisque and lobster tails were.

Turn on the first street inside Puerto Nuevo and look for the La Perilta sign above their restaurant.

La Perlita is a lobster restaurant that has been family run for the last 40 years at the corner of Arpón & Barracuda in Puerto Nuevo. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/la-perlita-puerto-nuevo?select=GvxauV2Wal3wd-1i7Yvf9g#3aG7V_Zds9OrKL-rnNtnbQ Arpón is the first left hand turn as you enter under the Puerto Nuevo arch. I have been coming here for 40 years and know all the family. La Perlita does not use "guys on the street" to lure you in like so many other joints. The reviewers who blame La Perlita for this bait and switch in their reviews could not be More Wrong. Those cheapass places yak about two lobsters or five 1/2 tails for $20. Those small tails are illegal and stupid Americans who think they are exploiting the restaurant and the Mexican people are just ruining the oceanlife, because of the greed involved. With over 20 lobster restaurants to choose from, why this one? Honest lobsters at honest prices in a beautiful dining room. La Perlita has LIVE lobsters - no frozen crap for them. Unlike all other places in Puerto Nuevo, they bring you the lobster to your table to choose which you want cooked for you. Too many of the restaurants rely on ignorant Gringos who don't understand quality lobsters. They buy undersized (illegal) lobsters and then sell them as "half tails". Those places have hucksters on the street promising 6-10 1/2 tails and a pitcher of margaritas for some ridiculous price. What you get is puny little 1/2 tails that have been frozen - Not good food and not good for the lobster population in the Pacific. La Perlita has a full bar and English speaking staff. They serve all their meals Puerto Nuevo style which is deep fat fried lobsters with bowls of beans, rice, salsa, drawn butter and handmade flour tortillas. La Perlita will cook your lobster any way you want, if you don't like it deep fat fried. They have a very delicious lobster bisque that is included in the price. ...and for the Gringos who think all Mexican restaurants are only about the chips and salsa - they have bottomless chips and salsa for you.

Salsa dip, rice, beans, pico de gallo, and hand made tortillas. Each meal comes with these large sides.

This is my first time trying out this place and it was delicious. I had the shrimp a la diabla and it was one of the most delicious meals I have eaten in a long time. The shrimp came with a really good and spicy sauce. The rice & beans were just perfect (finally a spot that gets this easy to do staple right). The freshly fried chips and salsa dip are a plus. Let's not forget the hand made tortillas which completed this delicious meal. Unfortunately I had eaten too much the night before that it only took this dish to get us full. We did not get to try the lobster. But this will be a spot that I have come back again because it was that damn good. If you are in Rosarito make sure to come and try their seafood here since it is about 30 to 45 minutes away.

No me queda Ottawa, por el maestro can't ante- oops I forgot his name.

Lobster Lobster 1 1/2 kilos. And the usual refried beans and Mexican Rice. Hot butter and flour tortillas. The restraunt is large feels roomy without being cavernous. Only drawback was not having a pick and a crusher for the legs, etc. Will I return? I'll be back. Señor Ivan our waiter was eager, pleasant, and prompt when we needed extras. Manuel will be back.

Visited Siete Mares on 3/22/25 after our original plan to eat at Ortega's fell through (they only…read moreaccept cash, and the nearest ATM had outrageous fees--over $50!). Luckily, Siete Mares was a solid backup option. The restaurant has three floors, each with a different vibe. The first floor is quiet and relaxed, the second floor is pretty hot with no open windows for fresh air, and the top floor has a norteño band that sounds amazing but is super loud--definitely not the best for conversation. My family chose to sit on the bottom floor, where we enjoyed a nice cool breeze and a great ocean view. There's a small outdoor balcony, but it's only big enough for small groups. I started with a strawberry margarita, which was just okay--not much flavor. Then I tried a michelada with Dos XX beer and a Tajín-rimmed glass, and it was delicious! Definitely the better choice. For food, we had the lobster, stuffed shrimp, breaded shrimp, carne asada quesadilla, and rice with beans. Everything was decent, but nothing really stood out as amazing. What really made the experience enjoyable was the great service! The staff was super attentive and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. Overall, it was a good experience, especially with the ocean view. I'd come back to have a michelada and listen to the Norteño band.

The oysters were so fresh. They catch them daily. The deck view is amazing. It's so relaxing hearing the waves crash. Mariachi players do come out and play for you, but you have to tip them per song. The restrooms are very tight.
