At first glance, this restaurant seemed very attractive as soon as we walked in, but there was no one at the front desk to greet us. It was Sunday and we got there around 2:20pm. The place is charming and clean. For those who want "take out" there is a monitor where you can place your order and wait. We didn't know about this and were checking the menu until a woman came up and asked if we were going to take our food or eat there. After we said we were going to eat there, she said we could sit down and she would come and take our orders. We ordered our drinks and waited for her to come back to take our order. My daughter chose the "Colombian Burger" $10.99 which comes with fries, she didn't even eat half of it, it was very greasy and the chips they put inside it didn't taste good. My husband and I chose the "Picada" which is a mix of potatoes and meat. $39.99, it wasn't worth it at all, the meats were dry, tasteless and the fries were beyond greasy, the only tasty thing was the avocado sauce that came with it. I ordered a portion of rice to eat with the picada and the rice had no taste, no seasoning whatsoever. The food took about 30 minutes to be ready in an empty restaurant ‍. They have more sauce options that are on the counter and you can choose what you like. The pineapple sauce is slightly sweet and savory. I tried the apple-flavored soda, which was refreshing. I went for a late lunch one Monday and upon arrival sat in my car waiting for the torrential thunderstorm downpour to mostly pass before braving the heavy rain. After I dropped my buddy off at his hotel in Plantation, I was a little hungry. Pulled out the Yelp app and located this place. Open late, Colombia Burger joint? Sure, might as well try it, eh? The burger came topped with mozzarella cheese, bacon, tomato, and crushed potato chips as well as some "sauces". I bit in and was impressed! The textures of everything were great! Good burger patty, good bacon, crispy potato chip things, couple of slices of tomato, and their sauces...whatever their sauces were, they were great! I know for sure I tasted mustard and ketchup, but there were other ones in there too. Some garlicky one? And something else too. It may have been overload, as the sauces almost soaked through the bun, but it held up 90% of the time while I was eating it. Pineapple soda was bomb! Overall, really solid burger. Definitely not a cheap "fast food" burger, it was like $11.00 just for the burger, but it was hefty, and tasty and I could definitely see myself coming back and craving that style of burger. I ordered the Grande Burger Carne - Pollo which is a burger with shredded chicken, cheese, tomato, bacon, crushed potato chips & their house sauces. It was pretty good and very big. It does not come with fries or anything but it is also not needed since. This burger alone is enough. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only reason for the 4 stars is big the music they play inside the restaurant is extremely loud specially for lunch time during the week. I would still come back again to try different things. I just ordered 1 Grande Cheese Burger Carne y pollo (Burger with the works, melted queso, and shredded chicken + beef) with papa's fritas! Going into my review, I thought the meal was pretty tasty. Burger was well seasoned and cheese gooey/melted nicely. Fries were pretty fresh too, and really enjoyed the assorted flavored condiments! I felt the burger would've been better personally if it wasn't well done, and it wasn't so soggy. But despite this, service was friendly and helpful with ordering. The short: Colombian goodness in the shape of hot dogs, burgers and tostones! The long: Came in here late one night looking for a quick dinner. I've eaten at similar Colombian places before so I knew what to expect. Was going to order a burger but then I saw the Patacones. I've never had one before but from the description alone, I was sold. It was a giant bowl made out of crispy tostones (all one piece) filled with beef, chicken, chicharones, melted mozzarella and their signature sauces. The food arrived very quickly and was fresh. I was also shocked at the size of this dish at it was huge and for the $10 price tag, it was well worth it. The last step is the taste and it did not disappoint either. I ate as much as I could but this dish can honesty be shared between two people. The mozzarella was nice and gooey while the beef had a nice flavor to it. I really wanted a Colombian empanada so I stopped here due to the reviews. Bad choice! They're known for their burgers and not for their empanadas *insert sat face*. The empanada I ordered was definitely not traditional. It wasn't your typical masa. This empanada has chunks of what I'm thinking is corn in the masa, and unfortunately it was mostly breading. The only thing that was spot on was the aji which was fire! I asked for a coffee and they were going to give me the sugar separate for a colada. I know that Colombians don't do coladas but common. Your in Miami every place does coladas. That was a huge turn off for me so I decided not to order the colada. Overall, I'm rating this place 4/5. From the looks of it their burgers are very good.
