Max and I made a new discovery purely by accident. I had the best Mango Margarita of my life. It's pricey but the portions make up for that. Our server was super friendly and accommodating. Spice level was kept at a minimum while being packed with levels of flavor. Want to surprise your companion? If they no nothing about the churro dessert, get it. I know, I know $28 is hard to swallow. It can feed 4 people or 7 who just want a bite. Presentation alone is worth the cost. The dessert profile doesn't disappoint either. I had such a great experience at La Doña! The food was absolutely delicious, and the highlight for me was the birria tacos. They were packed with flavor -- perfectly seasoned, tender, and juicy. The consommé on the side took them to another level; rich, savory, and exactly how it should be. Every bite was fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. I also had an amazing margarita served by Tomás -- perfectly balanced, refreshing, and the ideal pairing with the tacos. Great service always makes a difference, and he truly delivered. I even had the chance to personally meet the chef, Naylin, and she was incredibly kind and welcoming. You can tell she puts care and passion into the food. I immediately returned one of the drinks because they were so watered down that was disgusting. Completely overpriced. Ambiance: the AC was not working and was so hot inside. Service: this was the only good part. She noticed it was so hot that she brought a fan for my wife. We complained to the manager. Overall a poor experience. read more

We were shopping at the mall and thought the place looked cute and decided to give it a try. We each had a drink. I had the skinny margarita and my partner had the sangria. It was just ok. Not great. We had the pork belly guacamole and I like my guacamole a little chunkier but it was tasty. The chips were t that great. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and my partner had the mole enchiladas. Mine was tasty but looked more like a taco. The food was all visually pretty and the decor was really nice as well. Our waiter was fabulous and very attentive. I really wanted to love this place. The owner came to the table to check on us and he was so nice we didn't want to be negative. It can be great. I hope it improves. Plus the prices are steep. read more

The short ribs here were absolutely incredible. Super tender and cooked perfectly, they practically melted in my mouth. You can really tell a lot of care goes into the food. The sauce and seasoning were rich and balanced without overpowering the meat. Definitely one of the best short rib dishes I've had at a Mexican restaurant. I came to La Doña restaurant with a friend for dinner. It is located in Sawgrass Mills mall where the luxury outlets are. We were seated right away and brought our menus. I decided to go for a glass of wine instead of margarita like I usually would at a Mexican restaurant. I opted for the Eloan Pinot Noir, we got the table side guacamole as an appetizer. And for my entrée, I got the grilled octopus. This had to be hands-down one of the best octopus I have had in a very long time. I love octopus, and I eat it anytime I see it on the menu so I've had quite a bit of it. You get one tentacle, but it was huge and it was cooked to perfection. It comes with potatoes and some arugula and tomato salad with a very nice avocado sauce. It was truly delicious. I will most definitely come back for it Everybody was very courteous and attentive. The manager came by a few times to ask if everything was to our liking Decor is nice and upscale for a mall a restaurant. I saw they have a fish tank on one of the walls that has no fish in it but I look forward to see how it comes together. I will definitely come back and I recommend this place. This place is ridiculously expensive for the value. Don't bother. You are paying high end restaurant prices for subpar restaurant quality. The food made me sick. I know the old cliché you go to a Mexican restaurant you may get the runs, but this is ridiculous. You can expect that from a Taco Bell or a Chipotle, not this place; not when you are paying almost $300.00 for 4 people. That's $75.00 per person. This is place is what discourages people from eating out. The service was great. Hugo was very attentive and welcoming. However, we will not return. I like eating well and often go to places where I don't mind spending the money. This place was a real disappointment. Went here with my wife as part of our anniversary. It was a terrible experience overall. 1. Dirty. The seats were very dusty and dirty, the men's bathroom had a large water spill (or pee) in the middle of the bathroom. 2. Bad management. It was empty at lunchtime when we went. No employee had cleaned the seats, cleaned up the men's room, and we saw 2 waitresses eating tacos in the back... clearly visible to the public, AND it wasn't even busy. Why wouldn't they go to a back room? Eating tacos so the customer can see?? 3. Food was "meh".... Salsa was bad, chips were bad, guacamole was expensive and ok, my chicken enchilada mole was pretty good. 4 Price. Paid about $100 including tip. There is clearly no management or ownership anywhere near this place to motivate the employees to actually care about their jobs read more

Nice place, love the music. Queso fundido $19 small portion. Salmón and birria were delicious however, the maduros side at $4.95, I had to say is expensive, yeap, only 2 pieces of maduros, we laughed. Dessert was Flan de la Abuela, beautiful presentation and it was good. I like that they have a complimentary mojalbete, a table side prepared sauce, so yummy. Came here for a birthday and it was perfect for a celebration. The service was incredibly friendly. Drinks were strong and good and appropriately priced. The food was better than even expected, starting with the guacamole & pork belly with agave honey & raspberries. Some of the best we've had. The ambiance was super dark and unappealing, and the place overall just feels and looks unpleasant. We sat down and started looking a the menu, the server gave us complimentary tortillas chips with a god awful taste, and that was the end of it.
