We cannot say enough good things about this groomer. Our miniature schnauzer looks absolutely amazing--clean, sharp, and perfectly styled What makes this even more impressive is that our dog is not the easiest to work with. She's sweet, but stubborn, anxious, and definitely has opinions during grooming. Despite that, the groomer was incredibly patient, calm, and professional from start to finish. They clearly know how to work with difficult dogs and never rushed the process or compromised on quality.

My Pomeranian is very anxious, and from the moment we started coming here, the groomers made her feel so comfortable and safe. They are incredibly patient, gentle, and truly care about her well-being. They do an amazing job with her haircut and she comes out looking adorable every single time. I left Milo at LA Pet home for a little over 1 week as I traveled out of state. Milo had a great time and the owner was soooo friendly and patient with him. I asked for Milo to be groomed before pick up and he came out beautiful. Very clean Westie cut for the summer. He's an older dog so they made sure to be extra careful with him. Most definitely will keep bringing my dog back and I'm confident enough to continue traveling knowing my dog is in good hands.

Message telling me my dog is ready at 4:26pm after only having her 26 minutes.

I took my miniature bulldog here on 10/18 for a bath and nail trim. My appointment was very last minute because I had a groomer cancel on me. I was very appreciative of them accommodating my last minute appointment and they were very friendly. I booked 3 hours ahead online after speaking to them on the phone, I dropped my dog off at 4pm and she was ready at 4:26 pm. I found it odd she was only there for 26 minutes and they bathed, trimmed her nails, cleaned her ears, and did the anal glads. Upon picking her up she had a her upper claw nail wasn't trimmed and she was still shedding very bad which is why I scheduled her for a bath originally. Today is 10/22 and my dog is not acting herself. She's being aggressive and walking with her head tilted to the side while panting uncontrollably. I examined her and I found a piece of cotton shoved in her ear with blood and wax on it. However since it was so deep and swollen I couldn't remove it myself so 260$ vet bill later here I am with an infected and swollen ear. I really enjoyed the customer service but a 26 minute bath and claiming to do all of the things listed is impossible and this is a half ass job. Very very disappointed and enraged.

I am so pleased with the results of the LA Pet grooming service. Our Golden-doodle is prone to matting and has to get shaved when that happens. I am glad the master groomer in LA Pet was able to give our dog a beautiful cut with scissors. We've had issues in the past with our dog getting razor burns and much prefer the scissor method. I am happy with the service and would highly recommend it to you & my friends.

This place is amazing! I moved out here and driving to my old groomer an hour away was becoming troublesome and grooming him myself was not working out. Saw this place was new and had amazing reviews so I decided to give it a try. When I entered the owners were so welcoming and very attentive to my dog. They made sure to let me know they would be taking extra time to make sure my boy was comfortable since it would be his first time with them. When I went to pick him up he was the happiest pup. I was initially worried that my botched grooming attempt would be a problem, but they were able to salvage a significant amount of hair and left him looking like a whole new dog . I even bought him a sweater since they were have a 20% off special, and they even helped me out with picking something that would flatter his coat and color the best. I found this business after searching on Yelp for a place nearby with good reviews. Seeing that this groomer had worked with golden retrievers in the past and had lovely reviews, I had to make an appointment! My little one is a high energy, 8 month old puppy and while I was hesitant to take him grooming, we had such a lovey experience! The staff was extremely sweet and listened to my requests really thoroughly. I wanted a trim-definitely not a shave- and a good overall grooming and they executed just that! They kept his coat length, gave him a great bath, and expressed that for dogs who dislike the dryer (like him), they offer them a diffuser in a crate which is safer and less stress for them! I appreciated their patience with him, and on top of everything, the price was phenomenal. 56$ for a full groom and an absolutely amazing job. All in all I highly recommend, and will be coming back for his grooming needs :-) (Bonus points for their cute dog sweaters!) read more

I placed my dog here for boarding and an end-of-stay bath. My dog was very happy throughout the experience (returned home more patient than before) and staff are incredibly friendly. Price for everything was incredibly reasonable. Fatih is a great operator. Grooming experience was great - helped my Shiba get rid of some stubborn shedding and he was looking clean upon pickup. We will be back here for grooming and boarding services and would recommend this establishment to others. read more

My mini bernedoodle pup Rufus and I love LA Pet Home! I've taken my previous dog to other grooming spots but this is by far the best. They are honest, fairly priced, have a genuine love for their dogs and customers, and are the friendliest people ever. Rufus had his 2nd grooming appointment today and and came out looking like the most handsomest boy. He even greeted his groomers Lauren, another wonderful female groomer, and Fatih a warm goodbye. It really makes my heart happy to see Rufus excited to be there. In the past, I'd always dread taking my dog to the groomer, seeing her shaking in fear of being taken in and being placed in a cage for hours waiting to be seen. But my view of the grooming experience has completely changed and I think it might even be possible for baby Rufus to grow up actually LOVE grooming! I can't say thank you enough. Super friendly staff and they were so attentive to my dog. He was a little nervous when he arrived but I knew he was in good hands. We went on a weekday and all in all it was pretty quick for a wash and cut. They even let me know they discovered an ear infection and sent me their personal recommendation for a product to try to treat it. Appreciated the level of care! Made us feel special and not just another customer like at the bigger box stores. Definitely will be going back. read more

This review has been longggg overdue! So I have a very anxious Border Collie who hates strangers. But the owner is extremely nice and was willing to work with my Domino. Unfortunately, she's too anxious to be bathed and groomed by someone else other than mom. But the owner did brush Domino for a bit as a test, and reaffirmed me that she did not have any tangles (so at least I'm doing something right lol). The good news is that Domino can handle daycare because she loves other dogs and mom works at a salon a few doors down the street. So this service is very convenient and helpful for when I need my fur baby close by :) Side note: I've purchased some really cute and good quality dog coats from them during the winter! read more

We have been searching for a new groomer that knows how to trim our Papillon mix's long hair. Other places often cut it too short or use clippers. We discovered LA Pet Home on our routine walks and we were excited to finally have a local groomer/day care in our neighborhood. We came for the first time today for a full grooming (35lbs Mini Goldendoodle), our dog immediately fell in love with the business owner and her groomer, which was an excellent sign. The facility is very clean and equipped with a daycare area, our pup felt very comfortable and did not want to leave lol. Grooming a doodle is no easy feat, the shop asked for our preference and executed a spot-on Teddy Bear cut. We are extremely pleased to have LA Pet Home as a part of our neighborhood and I know our pup can't wait to go back. The prices are among the best in Pasadena! read more

Gigi's new grooming home. I needed to find a groomer that would be able to give my new rescue dog a chance to groom her. As we walked into the shop, they treated us with open arms. So kind and patient with my little dog. They advised me on what would be great for her and most importantly they will try. My dog had her very first grooming appointment today and I only have high praise for her experience. TLDR: Really nice owner and groomer, inexpensive, great experience, have already booked another appointment Last fall, during one of my usual morning walks with Lola, my dog, I came across LA Pet Home. The owner waved at my dog and me and I continued on my way thinking, "how nice"! That was a big mistake because it would take me another three months before I actually stepped foot into LA Pet Home. And, I'm glad I finally decided to venture inside. My only regret is waiting so long. The owner and groomer are beyond kind and compassionate. My dog lived on the streets for the first year of her life and can still be skittish around strangers. She was well overdue for a haircut, but instead of using that as a reason to completely shave her, they took their time combing through her curly and matted hair to ensure a comfortable experience. By the end of her appointment, she had a great new haircut and had bonded with the owner (a big step for my dog). The price was about two-thirds of what I've paid other groomers - what a great deal! Fatih & Lauren are big dog lovers so you can feel confident your pup is in good hands. They are very kind and meticulous when grooming your dog and do great trims and cuts. My dog has a double coat which is a lot of work. I just wish they could make him look thinner, but that is my fault for feeding him too many treats!! He still looks gorgeous anyway!! read more

I took my 1 year old golden retriever here and she looked amazing after her grooming service! Since she is still a puppy she tends to move a lot but they had a lot of patience for her. I decided to take her to LA Pets Home since I saw positive reviews about other goldens going here as well. Anyone can groom your dog but what makes this place different is the way they care for your pet. They informed me how to specifically treat her skin and fur since she is always jumping in the pool, while other places don't really go into this type of information with you. I will never use them again after my TERRIBLE experience. Initially used this service for a short business trip with success so tried again for a longer trip to see family between Christmas and NYE. The company sent a sitter I had never met who incorrectly used the pill injector on my sick, elderly cat and forced her to swallow the over inch-long applicator tip. Resulted in $3,000 emergency vet surgery to remove that I had to manage from out of town. So deeply stressful for me but mainly my poor elderly asthmatic cat!! They handled it but SO unnecessary and only happened bc of their bizarre business model where they pick whichever of their employees are available, not someone who knows your house/pet. So if you get one who knows what they're doing you don't necessarily get them again - it's totally random from the customer's perspective. Instead of enjoying my family I had to spend the time managing the emergency they created from afar, stressed and fuming that I trusted this company to send someone competent to care for my sweet older cat. After the first disastrous pill delivery issue they sent the **same person** again a day later who clearly doesn't know how to give a cat medication and she, again, incorrectly gave my cat her medication!!! My cat gets ill if she misses just one day, the medication is a high-dose steroid for her asthma. The employee did not know how to give her the pill, but still marked the medication as administered on their form (I only figured out it didn't happen when I read the notes) and instead of giving her the pill rubbed it on her gums -?!? I am FURIOUS for my poor cat and at the incompetence of this employee they continue to use, along with the management that assured me they know how to give cats medication and yet still sent this individual out after it was proved that they cannot give a cat medication effectively. The other employees seemed to be ok but I had no choice over who they sent over, meaning every visit was a gamble. If you need anything beyond the most basic service, avoid avoid avoid!!!

The sitters care for our fur babies so lovingly - we always travel with such peace of mind knowing our boys are looked after so well. They have an app now which makes communication even easier - they send emails/messages and many photos with every visit. The sitters follow any instructions very well - we used to have an elderly cat that needed medications and they took care of it no problems! Making reservations for visits in their app is so easy and they approve them very quickly or reach out if there are any issues or questions. They get very busy around major holidays but always make sure to give us a heads up before things get full - above and beyond! On our first visit, a manager came out to the house and met our pets and set us up with a very solid lock box for the house key that the sitters use to enter and exit. They check the mail and will water plants if needed too. They always give our boys so much love and treats and make sure they get some play time in every visit. They fill their food bowls, top off the water fountain, scoop the litter, and even sweep up! Great service! Their prices have gone up quite a bit since we first signed up - but what hasn't nowadays? Lol - their prices are comparable to other sitting companies locally and it's worth it for the peace of mind we get - huge ty to all our sitters and to Sitters4Paws for all your love and care!

So to find out Howie trained dogs for show biz back in the day?! What a dream. Being part boarder collie, the training was much more difficult than I had previously been hoping for on my own. Despite (and maybe because of) her incredible intelligence, she also has a tremendous amount of energy, and love to give. With my chronic condition it was just becoming too much. She's been in the program for seven weeks, has taken a huge liking to David and behaves beautifully with him. I'm nervous to have her on my own but she just graduated today and I am so much more confident! She listens like spring and she talks like June, my sweet baby angel. I've been singing to her "she's a maniac" but swapped it out with "brainiac" all afternoon: lovin' it. We have already been practicing the commands at home and plan to be diligent about continuing education. Thank you, David, for your hard work, determination and diligence with her training. They always ask if you'd like to pay for a bath before pickup. This time I declined because of the extra cost, and when I picked her up, it became obvious why they push that service. A dog shouldn't come home filthy simply because you didn't pay for a bath. After one bath at home, her eyes were already much better within a day. I won't be bringing my dog back, and I would not recommend this facility.

When someone carries in a completely limp and unresponsive dog, desperately asking for help, it is WAY the wrong response to act annoyed and try to get rid of them without any assistance. My Labrador just collapsed, lost all bodily autonomy, soiled herself and had gone completely white. I ran down the street carrying her to the nearest place that I thought could help, which was the Pasadena Humane Society. The 2 young ladies at the Shelter Shop directed me to the Animal Resource Center. I'm sweating bullets and my body is giving out from carrying my poor limp dog a considerable distance, when I finally arrive at the Animal Resource Center. I ask the girl at the entrance for help and she just tells me that they don't treat pets and I need to take my dog somewhere else. I frantically ask where and she gets visibly annoyed at me when she can't provide more information. Eventually a young man comes out and explains that I would need to surrender my dog in order to have them treat her, at which point she becomes the Humane Society's property and I have no claim or access to her condition or whereabouts. He tells me that Access is the nearest emergency pet hospital that can treat her. At that point a woman (possibly a vet) steps in and directs us to VCA on Arroyo Parkway because it seems like my dog may not survive the trip to Access. She was empathetic and wished us luck as we headed off. While I am thankful for those who eventually stepped in and offered helpful advice, I am still in shock at the callous and annoyed initial response I got from the girl at the Animal Resource Center entrance, in that desperate moment as I held my lifeless baby in my arms. I don't care how bad your day was or how much you don't care about your job, you do not get annoyed with someone who is desperately clutching their lifeless baby's body right in front of you. I get it, Pasadena Humane is a non-profit and not a free veterinary hospital. I also understand that many of the staff are not paid enough to care or they may very well be volunteers. But please do a better job of training your people, especially if they are the first point of contact with the public. Give them a list of alternative facilities or instruct them to reach out to someone who can and wants to help, it could mean the difference between life and death.

My first immediate red flags that I wish I listened to were that after examining him she came in talking about the two spots on his sides telling me how she thought they were cancerous masses and wanted us to test them for a couple hundred dollars. WHEN IS CANCER EVER SYMMETRICAL?? I then proceeded to tell her that those were his SCENT GLANDS and she ARGUED with me saying that no his scent glands were in a different spot. IT TAKES ONE QUICK GOOGLE SEARCH TO KNOW THAT THESE ARE TYPICAL SYRIAN HAMSTER SCENT GLANDS. After that she also said she was concerned that he had a heart problem because she heard clicking. He MAKES those sounds whenever he's handled because he is VOCALIZING his ANNOYANCE. I knew that the clicking she heard was probably just that so once again we did not pay $425 for an X-ray of his heart. The next thing she said was that he had discharge coming from his penis. I never saw any discharge there, but we thought maybe she looked in deeper and we agreed to put him on antibiotics and painkillers, as well as start syringe feeding him. They also gave him an IV for $75. He was struggling with his feedings and looked like he was in pain after. We brought him in for his check up and told them everything that was going on and they told us to increase his feeding. Even though I had told them it was hurting his stomach. They also still wanted to biopsy his "cancerous masses" we told them to please look at his penis again to check if the antibiotics were even doing anything and they didn't bother, they just gave us a new painkiller that wouldn't bother his stomach as much as they thought that was why he was having pain even though he was still showing these signs after we stopped giving him the painkiller. He continued to lose weight and we found a lump on his face after he had lost a significant amount of hair and thought we finally found the cause. We scheduled an appointment, this time with Dr. Kanfer as we found from their virus of a website (by the way their website acts as a virus, don't open it. we managed to get information about the doctors out of it through breaking down the code for it) that she was the only one specialized in rodents and abscesses. Dr. Kanfer could immediately tell what was going on. I felt like he was FINALLY looked at properly. But it was too late. Dr. Kanfer didn't want to do a bunch of unnecessary tests like Dr. Zieve did which I was grateful for. We did an ultrasound for $105 and they found a tumor but he started gasping for air and they put him on oxygen. He passed after an hour. After grieving him for awhile the nurse with the Spanish accent came in and left the door wide open. We asked for paw prints to be taken and she picked him up like he was some object and used way too much force on his paws, it looked like she was crushing him and the prints didn't even come out good. She then put him in his "coffin" (as the very nice receptionist called it) and shoved it to us like it was some package, saying "here's your box". Very cold and matter of factly. She lacked so much empathy and professionalism that is required of this job she should honestly be fired. Thank you Dr. Kanfer and the team that helped on the last day. F everyone else. The one star is for Dr. Kanfer who I would give five to.

I found Fine Feathered Friends on Facebook. Our 9 year old cockatiel was in need of a friend…read more Rather than purchase from a breeder or off a big-box store, my family wanted to adopt. We adopted our two other birds from local fosters and non-profits. After texting the number of the organization, I was immediately in touch with Marie, sweetest person-ever! We coordinated a date and time to come by and see the available cockatiels ready for adoption. I brought my partner and daughter along. As we got a review of the birds, Marie's hyacinth macaw Howard came over to greet us. Such a handsome, boy! We landed in adopting out a young male cockatiel (likely to be 1 year old due to the pearls still visible in his feathers) named "Patrick". He'd been saved from the elements, rescued after being dropped from the sky by a crow. Marie helped get him back in tip top shape, provided me the labs for his current health state (healthy!) and his DNA sexed paperwork. I appreciated the level of care and service Marie provided. She was professional, detailed, and super accommodating. I really loved her level of attention to understanding each and every bird's quirks, preferences, and history. Before we left, Marie provided a bit of food, snacks, and helped us pick a few perches and toys that "Patrick" would be happy with from his current cage. I was very grateful to be able to donate towards the foundation through Venmo. They also do cash or check, or Zelle. The feel the contribution/donation fee is minuscule compared to the value you give back to new member(s) of your flock. I understand only time will heal him from the trauma of his ordeal. We hope the love, care, and patience, our family can provide him with the right environment to help him heal at his own pace. If you're ever looking to adopt a bird in need, look no further than Fine Feathered Friends. Marie is wonderful and so dedicated, and it shows!

Excellent service! Both Sir Barrel White & Ms Muppet Viv have had a spa day here and I was so happy with the results. They were especially gentle and patient with my senior MaltiPoo Viv who needed a lot of work both times she's been in for grooming. read more
