The cook, the housekeeper, all of management, and the teachers make it a very family feeling for everyone. I feel like I have a partner in raising my child and I couldn't say enough to express how much we love it here.

They have a great curriculum for the children and do great by them on a day to day basis. My son blended in so well and was excepted with open and loving arms from day one ! I've never had any problems with any of his teachers or administrators. We love this school so much and sad to part ways so suddenly. Great meal plans ( not full meals which was told to us from the beginning ) but the variety and selections of food were amazing ! I have nothing to complain about this was an experience we never had but NEEDED. The cameras are accessible from day one , so if you feel you need to monitor your child through out the day you can ! We got so comfortable to the point after a couple weeks we didn't even look at the camera. I never feared for my child's safety inreally have the upmost respect for the staff. Dealing with young children with a count of 15+ in one room can be challenging , but I've never not ONE TIME saw the staff discouraged or exhausted from their day. CHEERS ... Love and respect to everyone at childtime !

HIGHLY recommend this school! We just wrapped up Goddard's pre-K graduation complete with a gown…read moreand cap and our daughter is going to really, really miss all of the wonderful staff and teachers. Where to begin? First, before we moved to the area, the staff was super kind and helpful. The owner was willing to do a virtual tour to help us make feel comfortable with the school. Since attending, our daughter learned sign language, practiced yoga, learned Spanish, and made a ton of friends/attended multiple birthday parties. She loved her teachers, the school is very secure, and is in a wonderful location nestled near some woods, but still in a convenient Yorktown location. My daughter even came home one day with tomatoes from their garden! We got tadpole updates daily with photos (LOVE that as a working mom) and the school communicated super well during COVID spikes. I have extremely high standards for the people who care for my children and Goddard exceeded all of them!

My daughter attended the Goddard school from the time she was 2 until she was ready to start…read morekindergarten. Your experience will depend entirely on the teacher. Out of all of her teachers, there's maybe 2 that were good. The rest lacked the training and developmental understanding of young children. I expected more from The Goddard school. My daughter was well behaved but has ADHD. At the time she was too young to be diagnosed. My daughter had been screened for autism and she did not have it. One of her teachers who was not trained in child development nor mental health took it upon herself to hand write me a rude note and leave it in her bag telling me she thought she had autism. It was unprofessional, and frankly offensive. The staff claimed they addressed it, but the teacher never apologized. My daughter was treated like an outcast by some of teachers (not all.) She had 2 really great teachers. I wish she could've just stayed with them instead of moving forward. A lot of the teachers lacked compassion and seem overwhelmed. I can very honestly say that instead of trying to support my child they deemed her as not good enough. She wasn't ill behaved. She didn't hit or kick other children. She simply struggled with not sitting still and focusing. They made me feel like my daughter was defective. Goddard didn't help my daughter the way I expected. It was a disappointing and pricey experience. Now that she's in public school her teachers love her and she's at the top of her class. That's not because of Goddard. That's because she's in a better environment. One more thing, you will be charged during the holidays when they are closed. Get ready to pay even more for additional childcare during that time.

Besides the location and staff, the best part about it for me is the dry sauna and the stationary bicycles facing the windows. I'm also super stoked that it became 24 hours starting this month/April...at least the main workout area is. The only cons I've experienced so far are: 1. The showers were only cold water at the time I tried them - but, in all fairness, it was end of a Sunday and lots of kids there. 2. There is only one Hip Abduction & Adduction Machine/Dual Inner/Outer Thigh Machine and someone is always using it. Despite being at the gym for hours, I've never seen it open so I have to use my thigh bands at home. There really needs to be two of them. Many of the machines around it go unused so they could easily be swapped out for a 2nd Dual thigh machine. Otherwise, this place is great and I feel safe when I'm there. Since it is such a nice YMCA, I can see why it gets so busy at certain times. I adjust my workout time when I can to avoid the crowds, but I understand that not everyone can do that.

I work with them individually well also in a group to be able to get them to swim safely. The changing rooms were very nice and quite clean and private, which was really great as well. Everyone was super nice and super welcoming and we really had a great time taking some lessons there. I would join the YMCA if I didn't already belong to another gym though, because it looks like it has a heck of a lot of stuff. Even a climbing wall! And lots of classes and activities too! Might have to look into that sometime soon!
