I was in town and so co-workers recommended me this place for just burritos and tacos. I'm not an expert on Mexican cuisine but I grew up in California and California makes the best Mexican food from everybody perspectives. At first I was skeptical about another burritos and tacos because I pretty sure can wether it good or average. I got me burrito supreme el pastors. Quality of meat was amazing with hint of little spice every bite. I would my fellow stocktonian to come here when there in town.

    Carne asada and potatoes

Best place to get my carne asada meat and fish. We come here like every weekend to get our bbq meat and groceries

Tamal "de elote" mas masa que nada

This place used to be my favorite place to buy uchepos corn tamales I used to buy the dozen for $15 now I bought it today and now they are $16 per dozen and you can't even taste the corn because the masa over powers it!!! It's very sad because they're not natural anymore and they went up on price! I took a video of how I want even able to slice it in pieces but not able to post videos on here!!! Very disappointed! That's why people are so fat these days because they add things that they shouldn't! I won't be going back anymore!!!

    a piece of cheese

I have never had a problem or a complaint about this place. We do some of our grocery shopping here all the time and we sometimes take some of their corn tamales home because they're so good. This weekend they didn't have the corn tamales so we took the chicken ones they had instead. When we got home and we were about to eat them I noticed some black spots and thought it was part of the dough but we took a closer look and realized the masa was covered in ants and I was disgusted.

Very friendly service and really good meats for a nice BBQ! As well as some really delicious tacos, with some handmade tortillas, must try!

When you cook them it's amazing how lean they seem to be. There isn't any extra fat in the pan that usually comes from other sausages you cook from grocery stores. The taste even shows the quality of meat. I read in other reviews that people were treated poorly while here. That wasn't the case for me. The person who helped me was extremely pleasant and didn't get upset that I kept adding more and more items to what I wanted to buy. Something new I found out today is that they also make salami and even slice it for you for sandwiches. I purchased the garlic salami today and it is amazing. Sometimes a line can form outside so it's best to go early in the day as only 6 people are allowed in the store at a time. It's a very small area inside so it's understandable. The atmosphere reminds me of something from way back in the old school days. Well I supposed that's because of the building being so old anyways. The entire situation is an experience that's pretty cool. If you haven't been to Lockeford Sausages you really should take a trip out and get something. You can get sausages of course but also there is jerky, meat sticks, hot dogs, bacon and various other things like marinated tritip. If you've ever been to a local street fair around here and ate a big grilled sausage on a big roll and thought it was the best grilled sausage you've ever had, it most likely was a Lockeford sausage.

I've generally had positive experiences coming here. They are family-run, quality-first, and have a…read more"personal" feel that's rare in the Bay. They Sell: - American Lamb (Not Gamey, Delicious) - High-Quality Chicken (Mary's) - Homemade Sausages - Solid Pork/Beef (including Wagyu) - Game Meats, Veal, Seafood - Deli Items - Seasonal: Dry-Age Prime Rib, Heritage Turkey, etc. Over time, I've made a conciencous effort to get my proteins here. My rotation has usually been their chicken leg quarters, ribeyes, lamb rib chops, and pork steaks. Recently, I made tandoori lamb chops (my favorite dish) with their American lamb, and it was honestly one of the best versions I've ever made (photo attached). A few extra notes: * Go during the week if you can. It's less crowded and the experience is more personal -- you get to actually talk to the folks behind the counter. * The walkways are tight. Not their fault, just something to be aware of if you're on the taller or bigger side. * Hours can be tough for a 9-to-5. They're open Wednesday through Friday during the week and close at 5, so I've had a few near-misses trying to swing by after work. Weekends are open, but plan ahead. * Online pricing would be a nice add -- would help with planning. * Wishlist: Would love to see limited offerings of premium versions of other proteins -- Iberico or Berkshire pork, Mary's pasture-raised chicken, Ora King salmon, bluefin tuna. And spirits (bourbon, rum) would be a fun addition. Overall, a great business and a real value-add to the community. I'll keep coming back - highly recommend checking out!

Unfortunately I've tried a different sandwich on two occasions now and won't be back again. The first time I got a build your own sandwich ($14) with pastrami. Usually a place either has amazing pastrami or terrible pastrami. I really did not like the pastrami here, it was super chewy which made for an unpleasant experience to the point where I was forcing myself to finish eating it but felt gross after and probably just should have thrown it out. The second time I tried the Del Valle TAB signature sandwich ($16 + $2 tax). For $18 it was incredibly disappointing. It wasn't a nice big sandwich but just a normal size. The bacon was so hard that I had to consciously make sure to eat it slowly otherwise I felt like I was going to break my teeth. And the overall flavor was lacking.
