CUIDADO CON LAS CARNE ASADA PRE-SAZONADA Y CORTADA Permítanme comenzar diciendo que esta tienda tiene una gran variedad de carnes y cortes. Sin embargo, eviten ciertos cortes y tipos de carne. Compré un par de libras de lomo de cerdo y carne asada precortada y sazonada para tacos esta semana. Debería haber confiado en mis instintos, pero he comprado carne con algunos trozos de grasa antes. I would, however, avoid certain cuts and types of meat. I bought a couple pounds of pork loin and pre-cut and seasoned carne asada for tacos this week. I should have trusted my instincts, but I've bought meat with some chunks of fat before. Today, however, I was making the asada tacos and thoroughly inspected the meat before putting it in the pan. Half of the meat I bought was fatty! Again, I understand that a little fat adds flavor, but the amount of fat in two pounds of meat was simply excessive. It appears that shards of fat were mixed in with regular meat. It was ridiculous. I spent the next half hour picking the fat chunks out. Again, this shop has a large selection of meats and cuts, and while I'm sure some are better than others, this was not it! Also, the store can get crowded, and while they have a lot of Mexican food products, the aisles are very close together, and the lines to the register can be confusing. read more

I was in town and so co-workers recommended me this place for just burritos and tacos. I'm not an expert on Mexican cuisine but I grew up in California and California makes the best Mexican food from everybody perspectives. At first I was skeptical about another burritos and tacos because I pretty sure can wether it good or average. I got me burrito supreme el pastors. Quality of meat was amazing with hint of little spice every bite. I would my fellow stocktonian to come here when there in town. read more

This place used to be my favorite place to buy uchepos corn tamales I used to buy the dozen for $15 now I bought it today and now they are $16 per dozen and you can't even taste the corn because the masa over powers it!!! It's very sad because they're not natural anymore and they went up on price! I took a video of how I want even able to slice it in pieces but not able to post videos on here!!! Very disappointed! I have never had a problem or a complaint about this place. We do some of our grocery shopping here all the time and we sometimes take some of their corn tamales home because they're so good. This weekend they didn't have the corn tamales so we took the chicken ones they had instead. When we got home and we were about to eat them I noticed some black spots and thought it was part of the dough but we took a closer look and realized the masa was covered in ants and I was disgusted. read more

There was no one else in the store or in line other than a few employees. The Hispanic lady behind the counter glared at me periodically as she worked. No greeting, just a look of absolute hatred. In her angry eyes I could see that she blamed me for all her troubles, even though we had never met before. It became obvious to me I was not welcome here. Really well stocked up Authentic Mexican grocery store. They have a variety of different meat, seafood etc. I always buy Queso Fresco here the one that comes in a bucket, it's extra moist. This is a great place to buy prepared food as well now. They sell Burritos, Tacos, Quesadillas and Carnitas by the Lbs. Awesome prices and clean see-through kitchen. read more
