I visited IHOP Store #0830 located at 4291 Camino de la Plaza on Tuesday, February 17th. I ordered…read moretwo Mexican Tres Leches Pancakes and received excellent service from my server, Gina S. She was friendly, attentive, and did a great job.
However, when I paid with my gift card, I noticed I was charged twice once for $7.00 and again for $20.60. When I brought this to Gina's attention, she went to get the manager. Unfortunately, the manager tried to tell me that I had not been charged twice, even though my receipt clearly showed both charges. I had a dentist appointment and could not stay any longer, so I kept my receipt and left.
I contacted corporate and was told a representative would call me by the following Tuesday. It did not take a week for the money to be taken from my gift card, so it should not take a week for someone to contact me about resolving the issue. As a customer, I feel frustrated and disappointed by how this situation has been handled.
I am requesting a refund of the $20.60 that was improperly charged, along with a gift card for the inconvenience and the time I have had to spend trying to resolve this matter. I expect better customer service, especially when there is clear documentation of an error.
I hope this issue is resolved promptly $27.60 for two Tres Leches Pancake.
