I visited IHOP Store #0830 located at 4291 Camino de la Plaza on Tuesday, February 17th. I ordered two Mexican Tres Leches Pancakes and received excellent service from my server, Gina S. She was friendly, attentive, and did a great job. However, when I paid with my gift card, I noticed I was charged twice once for $7.00 and again for $20.60. When I brought this to Gina's attention, she went to get the manager. Unfortunately, the manager tried to tell me that I had not been charged twice, even though my receipt clearly showed both charges. I had a dentist appointment and could not stay any longer, so I kept my receipt and left. I contacted corporate and was told a representative would call me by the following Tuesday. It did not take a week for the money to be taken from my gift card, so it should not take a week for someone to contact me about resolving the issue. As a customer, I feel frustrated and disappointed by how this situation has been handled. I am requesting a refund of the $20.60 that was improperly charged, along with a gift card for the inconvenience and the time I have had to spend trying to resolve this matter. I expect better customer service, especially when there is clear documentation of an error. I hope this issue is resolved promptly $27.60 for two Tres Leches Pancake. read more

We had made a special trip out to the outlets, to find the Disney store outlet. Not wanting the walk up fast food outlets in the outlet, we walked across the parking lot to IHOP. I have rarely gone to IHOP for lunch or dinner, so I was not familiar with their lunch/dinner offerings. I ended up getting breakfast, because that is what I do. haha I got the chicken fried chicken biscuit. If the gravy had a tiny bit more flavor, it would have been excellent. I added some Tabasco to kick it up a notch. Joe got the Cali roasted turkey sandwich. He said it was excellent. The best part was our waitress. She was working the whole side of the restaurant, alone. I watched her hit every table, not missing a beat. We made the drive to the edge of the US, walked the nearby mall and were exhausted as well as starving. So we went for a quick nearby familiar chain to recharge for the drive home. You can't judge this location by its inside appearance. It seems it's been forgotten when it comes to updating the look and feel. When you get past this, there was only one server and she was great. She stayed on top of our order - she was able to remember it without writing it down! Our meal came out relatively quickly. Dad had his usual 2x2x2 and was satisfied as it's one of his favorite places and meals. Mom and I are more picky so we settled on trying the pot roast with broccoli. I had the Mac and cheese while mom had potatoes. I was very pleasantly surprised, we enjoyed it! The portion wasn't oversized and we left satisfied. I had sauce on the side which I think really helped. Broccoli seemed fresh and was not over cooked. Mac and cheese was nice and creamy. We left without room for dessert! We were seated promptly but it took 20 minutes to be acknowledged and another 10 min to take our order, when our order finally came out I looked at my order of Bourbon Bacon Benedict's with dread because I could see a piece of undercooked almost raw bacon sticking out. I purposely ordered the bacon Benedict's because how can you mess up bacon, right? Wrong! The rest of the bacon was also undercooked and the English muffin soggy and never toasted. The greeter/hostess at the front door was very friendly and kind. She was very attentive and extremely nice. We got seated fairly quickly as there was no wait. However, we did have to wait about 10 minutes for our drinks order to be taken. I ordered the pancake combo which consists of 2 pancakes of your choice, eggs, hash brown, and either two sausage or two bacon. The waitress asked me how I wanted my eggs but she did not ask me whether I wanted bacon or sausage. Our food had arrived and she had the plates of food stacked one on the other which not only caused dirty plates but it was a little weird seeing our food touching the bottom of the other plates. The place wasn't as busy and not once did she come and ask how everything was or whether we needed a refill. When paying at the front desk, we were helped by a man in a suit and he was being rude. He did not make eye contact with us and was just so quiet when prior to this he was talking to other fables and asking how everything was. Came here for a random Thursday night dinner with my little mommy and had such a nice relaxing evening. Who would have thought IHOP would come through in such a way?! I've clearly been sleeping on IHOP. Our waiter, Giovanni was friendly, but verrry verrry quiet (in my Elmer Fudd voice). At first I thought he didn't speak English (I think he was Italian) but I think he just may not have been confident in the English he spoke, because he was able to answer all of our questions just fine and softly. So all was well, he was kind and served us well. He informed us that mornings are pretty busy (as expected), but most evenings are quiet like this night. Good to know. It seriously felt like we were in a movie as a couple of the few last people on earth. I've heard service is hit or miss here, but we hit a home run this night. What is going on with the food from this IHOP location. Everything has a bad taste. Although the coffee was fine.

I had to updated this review. This review is for the dinner I had tonight. I walk in and there's hardly anyone here on a Wednesday night. We were greeted by the hostess and got seated at a booth. I originally wanted to order pancakes but changed my mind and wanted something healthy. I order the turkey club sandwich on wheat bread and ordered onion rings with it. It took about 15 minutes for our food to come out. I took a bite out of my sandwich. There were turkey cubes in my sandwich, lettuce, tomato, provolone cheese and two strips of bacon. I don't prefer cubes of turkey. It just fell out as I was taking bites in my sandwich. I'd rather have the slices of turkey. The sandwich was good. I had to eat it with the dill pickle it came with because it was a tad dry. The onion rings were crunchy on the outside while the onions inside were soft. I managed to finish my plate as I washed down my food with iced water. However, the service was lacking after the guy took our order and delivered our food. He never came back to refill our drinks. After we were done eating, I had to call out to the waitress to ask for a box and for our check. I see her calling the guy who was serving us. He was chatting with other coworkers and friends. My daughter and I were ready to leave. I didn't tip the guy much as our bill was almost $40. My husband even told me that kids eat free Monday to Wednesday. After I asked him if they do that, he said we don't do that. I might have to complain to corporate. Why even put it out there if you don't participate in this? I was a little upset. I don't know if I plan on coming back. How does your server ignore you after he's given your food? We needed refills and he never came back. Visiting here from the greater Los Angeles area (a couple months ago), and walked in for the very first time at this location. Walked inside during late-breakfast hours, and was handed just their normal menu. I wanted to order the Rooty Tooty special, that was on and valid, but my waitress quickly mumbled that this special was no longer available (it expired completely). This was not true. I said I want the special you have advertised with a large poster, right on your own window, that you can see as you walk-in (she now felt there was no way, for her to contest this). She then walked to their menu area, and grabbed the special Rooty Tooty individual menu. She smiled and gave it to me (embarrassed), as if she knew nothing about the special, and just happened to find the special. But I could tell she was a veteran waitress (when I received my food, I continued to watch her while I was there, and she was conducting duties that even a supervisor or asst manager might handle.) I think it was awful that she lied to me, trying to trick-me into ordering a more expensive, non-special breakfast plate. Impromptu outlet run to check out some shoes but wanted to go eat breakfast first. It was between this and Achiote and didn't really feel like going somewhere it's unfamiliar to us coz we wanted to just eat and not take too much time looking at the menu. So we ended up here. She came back with one of our drinks and told us that they are brewing new coffee, which was good, right? So we got our orders in. Ordered steak and eggs (wife) and I got the country fried steak and eggs. Ordered the eggs over easy, extra crispy hash browns and extra gravy for my food. Wife got hers correctly and mine wasn't (see pics). And at this point, wife still hasn't gotten her coffee and had to ask another person (who was helping our waitress bring out food) for it. Initially she took my plate off my hands (literally) because she thought she got my order wrong (which she did) but for the wrong reasons. She was going to put cheese on the scrambled eggs that was in my plate (again, this is wronging the wrong order already). She came back and actually said she got the wrong person/order, that's when I actually told her that she got my order wrong. She got it fixed by giving me the correct eggs and got me extra gravy and I didn't even bother asking her for extra crispy hash browns. So our waitress is doing her rounds (finally) and asked - yes, she asked me - if I wanted a refill on my drink which I politely said yes please and thank you. Guess what? I never got it. Went here to have breakfast with my cousin in the morning. I arrived early and the waitress greeted me and asked if I wanted to wait in the waiting area or go ahead and get a table. I asked to be seated while I wait for my cousin. She asked me if I wanted to order , I declined and told her I would wait for my cousin. I did ask for a glass of OJ though. The OJ was sweet and it wasn't sour. It did have a little bit of pulp, but that's the way I like it. There was a large amount of people already seated. My cousin showed up and she ordered the split decision which had French toast, pancakes, eggs, bacon. I ordered the sampler and substituted the ham with 2 pieces of bacon, so I has a total of 4 bacon slices. My order also had over easy eggs, hash browns, and 2 sausages. Despite the large crowd at IHOP, the cooks cranked out our order with blazing speed. The food was cooked well and I have no complaints about the way it was cooked or how it tasted. The only thing they can improve is the size of the pancakes because they were about half the size of Denny's. I enjoyed our service and I thought the food was good. read more

Service was atrocious. Went there with my kids for Father's day. I watched as multiple customers who arrived after us got their drinks before us, then got their foods before us. I thought maybe the waitress was just having a bad day till another customer came and she got their drink orders within minutes of sitting down while my kids and I waited 15 minutes for our drink orders to be taken. We were strolling around the mall and got hungry so we decided to go to IHOP since we love the pancakes! We were seated right away. Our waitress greeted us and brought us fresh coffee! This is where it all fell apart...when our waitress came back to take our order she did not write anything down and when we confirmed and reconfirmed our order it was wrong both times! After she left I told my fiancé...one of orders is not going to be correct! Sure enough...my order was all wrong. I had ordered the strawberries and creme crepe and got the all American berry crepe special. I ordered my eggs over easy with bacon and got scrambled eggs with sausage. The only thing correct with my order was the cheese on the has browns. My fiancé's order was also incorrect! He was given different crepes and different potatoes. He sent his back...I was over it at this pint and just ate what I got. Granted I understand we were close to the boarder and the staff was predominantly Mexican...however that's no excuse to not tell your staff they need to write down orders. At the time...we were probably the only customers in there that did not speak Spanish! Also a large table that came in way after is that sat down next to us...received their food first!! Parking: plenty of parking since it shares a lot with Las Americas outlet. First impression: clean, crowded. (Arrived at 11AM on a Saturday). Experience: Seated right away, ordering was quick, food took a reasonable time to come out. Server: Omar was fantastic! So genuinely kind and very good with prioritizing and time management. He made sure to keep checking back with us to see if we needed anything. 5 stars are primarily for him! Came here because we just finished shopping at the outlets. I was trying to eat something healthy, I know that's an oxymoron when I'm talking about eating at IHOP, but I ordered the whole wheat pancakes with bananas. My boyfriend ordered the appetizer sampler and country fried steak. (1) My whole wheat pancakes were just falling apart. Every time I went to cut into the stack of pancakes, the top and bottom of each pancake would come apart. They were very flaky and dry. Not impressed. (2) The sample was OK. Standard sampler that you'll find at IHOP or Denny's. Onions rings were good and who isn't in love with onion rings? (3) Country fried steak.. WHAT WAS THAT THING?! My boyfriend was cutting into it and it was like this brown with an almost purple hint of color type thing. WEIRD. He was saying he never really noticed before and now that he saw it, he couldn't help but feel like WTF was he really eating? Service was bad. We had to wait forever for our waters to be refilled, wait, they never got refilled. We had to ask right for more water right before we decided to get up to leave. We were eating around 9:00pm so granted there were maybe 4 other tables seated at the time, not a busy night by any means. Our server passed by our table a couple times between when we finished and when he cleared the plates and when he cleared the plates and when he brought us our check (only after we asked, of course). We wasted 30 minutes -- 15 minutes between us sitting there waiting for our dishes to be taken and 15 minutes between when our dishes were taken and when we had to ask for the bill. It was a Thursday night, we weren't trying to hang out at IHOP. We went back and asked how much longer and the host was VERY rude and said there's no wait time for the amount of ppl in your party your just going to have to wait until 2 tables open up next to each other when there was more then 8 ppl sitting in one table and instead of waiting for two to open up they just kept sitting ppl.
