Had breakfast there, place was fairly empty so got seated in the lovely room that houses Live music, and a ton of wonderful Kafka framed photos & other imagery. Beautiful cafe located directly on Revolution, where one can people watch to their heart's content, but in my opinion, the only item on the menu they do correctly is the coffee and coffee drinks, although the last time I was there, the latte tasted more like it was a regular latte than a caramel latte which is what I ordered. Clean and very nice set up, however the service is very inconsistent and slow in my opinion. The food that I have consumed here has been dismal. Also they have no snack type foods one could consume while people watching as they walked by on Revolution which is a serious failure on the part of whomever wrote the menu. We came here on a coffee date, once upon a time. Our weekend in TJ was coming to an end, and before embarking on the long journey back to LA, it was fitting that we load up on much needed caffeine. We made our way to Zona Centro, and parked nearby. We found this coffee shop while walking down Ave Revolucion. It was modernly decorated, clean, and had ample seating. After looking through the menu, we decided to get a cappuccino each. The barista brought our drinks after a small wait, and they included some small sugar cookies on the side. The cappuccinos were pretty good, they gave us a good jolt of energy. The environment here is relaxed, and the other patrons are mainly pleasant locals. This is a nice little stop in Tijuana's Zona Centro. If you're visiting the area, and are looking for a good cup of joe, then this is a good option. read more

Cute little cafe in town. Great place to take a break from walking and enjoy a cup of coffee or sangria. The sangria was very refreshing and had the right amount of flavor; not too heavy or overwhelming. We also ordered the dulce de leche latte. The consistency of the coffee was balanced, good amount of foam, delicious taste, and wonderful design. I came on a Sunday morning with a friend and got a hot chocolate and chai latte (both hot). The drinks were mediocre, too sweet and creamy for our tastes. Perhaps we should have gotten something coffee based. There was also food and desserts that we didn't get to try, but it seemed like most people got that with their drinks. The service was good. Staff were attentive and took our orders quickly. I wouldn't really come here to study. We could not find outlets and had to ask for wifi. It gets quite loud inside and outside, but it's a decent place to just chill and people watch--- just not so much study. read more

This cafe/ restaurant has great location with an outdoor seating area across the street from caesars restaurant on Revolution Ave. Very trending snobby upper class customers usually with a lot of time to just sit, talk and play with their phones. Very clean ambience and decor inside. Food has been good on most dishes I have tried. The pastries are delicious and fresh. Coffee is legit. My biggest and only problems have been the customer service almost ALWAYS. Subpar to say the least. Several times I have walked in and not been greeted properly usually because the waiters are understaffed and seem to be too busy. I normally sit myself and tend to wait a few minutes before someone acknowledges me. Only about one of the employees speaks english so be prepared if you're not fluent in Spanish. Many times my waitress doesn't even ask what I prefer to drink because the language barrier I assume. Food normally takes longer than expected so be warned. I don't believe the waiters/ waitresses and the cooks in the kitchen are on the same page on the timing of the orders. Prices are very high but your paying for the quality of the food and the location. Please remember that Revolution has many other nice, clean and delicious establishments these days that are much cheaper and will appreciate your business along with treating you with respect and dignity. But, if you want to try and look cool and spend a lot of money on a decent meal...This is the spot! read more

The locals love this place, because it is meant to make the impression of a modern U.S. coffee shop. They think they get a touch of an American modern coffee shop -- they don't, but at least they think they do. As an American visiting Mexico there is no point of being here. The service compared to U.S. standards is bad. I've been there a couple times and had enough. They bring cold cappuccino, forget my order many times and let you wait, also forget to bring cutlery. From a U.S. perspective, we would consider this a lousy service. And the price is about the same as in the U.S. For Mexican standards, that is considered very expensive. Why spend so much money on a coffee shop that tries to imitate a U.S. style coffee shop and fails? So, I figured, I'll just enjoy the genuine Mexican establishments. If I want to have a coffee shop experience, I just go to a real one in the U.S. If you're in Mexico, go Mexican -- there are some genuine restaurants other than this cheap copy of a barista coffee shop. read more

#28 of Yelp Reviews 2016 Praga Cafe, I have only visited you a few times and have this feeling that I can't shake off. Your business is such a welcome sight to see on Avenida Revolucion. Every time I cross the border, I make an effort to stop by and grab a cappuccino and/or dessert. Place has an outdoor patio and wow the place looks clean and inviting. The European decor and theme is a cool concept. Random note that Praga is an actual district in Warsaw, Poland. I am not sure of the origins of the name of this cafe. Nonetheless, the environment is not heavily decorated to a point where it looks like your great grandma's garage or basement. I especially like the mason jar candles with coffee beans (so hipster haha) There are two sides to this place, one side is where the main cafe area is at and the other is where there is more seating and the band area plays their music. I have been here on Saturdays, and I know that live music starts from 8pm to 12am. Area has an intimate vibe to it, and the acoustics are great in here. There are both English and Spanish menus for patrons, but heads up that the waiters/waitresses that I have spoke to so far had a bit of English. If you don't speak Spanish, it is okay you can just point and/or circumlocute your way with hand gestures to express what you want to order. But hey, it does not hurt to learn some Spanish ya know? Those high school and college years learning Spanish is paying off dividends for me hahaha. I am not fluent by all means, but I can get by okay. Menu includes desserts, coffee, sandwiches, beer, wine, tea, and other entrees. I recommend the espresso as they give you club soda with it and the cappuccino. The flavor was bold but not strong. The taste is better than your average popular chain coffee joint, but I would not consider the coffee top grade. I have been spoiled and lived with Vietnamese grade black coffee for years, and I probably have high expectations for espressos. The cappuccino is not too sweet and the designs are cool. I don't eat carrot cake that much, but when I do, I will make sure I will get it at Praga. The cake was moist and the carrots were of the right consistency. Surprisingly, the icing was not too sugary. The chocolate cheesecake is pretty rich and thick, I would pair that with a glass of their red wine. The live band I believe, if anything, is worth a stop here. They perform both English and Spanish songs, from classic rock to Spanish dance covers. The soulful pitch and easy flowing melody rushes through your veins. It definitely makes the food and drink even better! The guy that does the wind chimes and bongos does such a damn great job. The vocalist and lead guitarist knows how to jam with his finger splitting riffs and smooth solos. The bass guy knows how to slap da bass, mon. The drummer keepin' it real at the back, with accurate precision of the hi-hats, snares, cymbals, and the bass drum. If I could just do a Ron Burgundy and bust out a flute, start jamming with them... The service in my experience has been pretty good. The staff have been attentive and helpful. Ask them for the password for the Wifi, and the connection is pretty good. Oh yeah, the bathrooms are clean here (Yesss!) I have been paying pesos here, but they do take dollars as well. I do not think that they take credit card here. Anyone who knows me knows that I rarely dislike any food items. All food is good food for me, which is probably the reason I can't seem to be able to stay on a diet for more than 1 week.... errr.... 1 day? However. The same cannot be said about my coffee standards. When it comes to coffee I am a bit of a snob, I'm not proud of it but it's the truth. When I drink coffee I order it black, that way I can enjoy every note and all the texture. When I come to a coffee place that has the word "coffee" on its name, I naturally expect the business to be quite proud of their outstanding quality and taste. Let's just say that if you come here you'd be better off listening to the live band that plays there every Wednesday night while enjoying a delicious sandwich and sipping on a chai latte. This place definitively has a cool vibe to it, and the location makes it really convenient to anyone who is in Revolución and in the mood to just chill and skip the bar/club scene. This is my favorite place in TJ my girlfriend took me here and I was instantly impressed. I got the earl grey tea and some type of apple pastry.. it was phenomenal!! I have been stopping at Praga ever since Jan 2015 when I first visited there. It is a classy looking café with great drinks, food and live music. I have not tried any food items yet, but from the looks of the menu and what others have ordered I will definitely try some in the future. The servers are attentive and helpful and yes there is free Wifi. In addition, the prices seem reasonable. Oops, Praga bar has the live music....thevis the praga cafe andvthe praga bar..One of our favorite spots to go to in Tijuana. Always great attentive service from the staff. The real gem here is the blues band Pachuco Blues with lead singer Ismael. Love this band, they are normally there on Saturday night and at guiseppes Pizza on Sunday. They have a good selection of beers including tijuana cerveza. The food looks good, but still need to try it. This is a regular spot for us when we visit. read more

This place used to be my favorite to take a break when I pass by Tijuana to Rosarito/Ensenada. Cool decor and good food. But last time I was there, the service was slow and sub-par. It was a Monday so the place was not busy. The waitress was just too busy socializing behind the counter to care about the customers. The food and coffee were also not as good as I remembered. The kicker is when I told the guy at the cashier to put 20% tip on the total (already very high by Mexico standards), he decided to put 25% instead just to get a little extra for himself. I didn't realize it until I look at the receipt later. The difference is so insignificant it was not worth my time to even call my credit card. But just the fact he thinks he can pull such "gringo" trick on me means I will be taking my cafe break somewhere else on Avenida Revolucion. read more

Nice boutique cafe here on Revolución directly across from Hotel Caesar and Caesar's restaurant. Ample seating inside and outside. Friendly attentive staff. Tasty breakfast menu. I tried the Eggs Benedict yesterday, and today the Praga Omelette. I'm giving Praga a four only because their cappuccino was made more like a latte with too little froth both times.
