Corn tamale pretty positive was not fresh added sour cream made it taste better

My chilaquiles were terrible. The beans on the plate were delicious. corn tamale was like a 3 out of 10. Chilaquiles had three eggs on top those were okay even the tortilla was bland.

    Tostada carne de res desebrada

I've been coming to this menudearía for many years and it never disappoints. My favorite is their menudo of course, their quesadillas sencillas de queso and their tostadas con carne de res. They have updated their area at this location. When you first enter they have a small bakery showcase to the right hand side. The new update looks really nice. The waitress was a sweetheart very patient and checking on us often. I will for sure continue to eat here.

Cada visita es deliciosa. El sabor del menudo nunca cambia. Los meseros muy atentos con el servicio, amables y cortes, como debe ser. Tengo años regresando a este lugar y siempre satisfecha. Solo el estacionamiento es lo decepcionante.

Cash only! This is a nice restaurant. It is large, and full service. It was very quiet on the weeknight we were here. It is adjacent to a residential area, and there is plenty of on-street parking. There is a covered patio for seating which is nice -- though it is on a sort of busy street and the patio is near the road, so there is some car noise and close to pollution. But still, I appreciated sitting out on the patio. Food was good. The menus were a bit hard to interpret, but there was a large selection. Be sure to have cash. It looks like the sort of place that would accept a card, but in fact it is cash only. There is an ATM about 10 minutes away (walking).

My friend mentioned this place to me the last time I was in TJ, so we dined here for breakfast a couples months ago. There was a small line at the entrance before we could be seated, but there was plenty of seating inside and outside in the patio. This restaurant used to be a house, which I could tell from the layout. The decor is very weird and a bit scary though- lots of beheaded animals hanging on the walls. We were seated at one of their long community tables and looked over the menu. This restaurant is known for their menudo, but I wanted to try their pozole instead. My other friends ordered the menudo, chilaquiles con pollo, and the arrachera asada, and another chilaquiles with the red salsa. For drinks, we got the horchata and cucumber agua frescas. The drinks came out first without any ice, so they took it back shortly afterwards from us. The ones that got the cucumber drink said it tasted better before LOL. My horchata was too watered down and didn't have enough cinnamon in it. Foodwise, I enjoyed my pozole. It came with tostada chips and some veggies. I also tried my friedn's asada dish, which was alright- nothing special about it. If you're into menudo, this dish looked amazing! It came with fresh tortillas, diced onions, avocado, and lime. Maybe I'll have the courage to try this dish one day!

She had the flautas dish (came with red rice and refried beans) and I had the panini de pechuga de pollo (grilled chicken breast) with french fries. Both dishes were delicious and came with generous portions. I liked how my panini sandwich came with pickled jalapeños. The dessert list is ample, however, we always go for the cheesecakes since they are what the cafè is well-known for. This time, there wasn't many to choose from but I am happy they still had my favorite available - the guava cheesecake. On other occassions, they'd have a more ample selection of cheesecake flavors to choose from, like oreo, caramel, or other fruit flavors. Lastly, want to give a shout out to our server Juan Carlos. Very attentive, quick, and polite. Everyone was courteous and provided an excellent customer experience.

But today I happen to be in the area and I told my husband to try this place out. He was so happy! Once you place your order out waitress came with a big plate of sweet bread and you get to pick one! I picked the concha and my husband got the pineapple empanada! We ordered a bit of everything. My husbands go to meal always is chilaquiles. So he ordered the DIVORCIADOS $16.50 Half green and half red with carne asada and beans. We also got the CARNE EN SU JUGO $15.99 And I got the MENUDO ROJO $15.50 Let me start off by saying everything was amazing! It all tasted like it was homemade! Perfectly seasoned, with hand made tortillas. The carne en su jugo was really good! I understand why they are known for that dish. I loved my Menudo! I was craving it and it was perfect. The chilaquiles, the chips weren't soggy, they still had a bite to them. The sauces had so much flavor! My husband and I left with full bellies and a big smile on our faces! All the waitresses and waiters were so nice! Diego was telling us the story of the restaurant. Which was nice to hear. All family owned. Hopefully they open another restaurant close to us!!! Fingers crossed! I will definitely come back to Thai restaurant and recommend it to all my family and friends!

The Zona Rio location has a small dining area, that is very popular with both the locals and visitors. It is easy to see why. Their menu does not over dose on the standard morning and afternoon items that you would find anyplace. However, this is the first restaurant I've been to in Tijuana, that does not have an English menu.... so I had to labor through the Spanish menu. But, they do have unique dishes, thus making the visit adventurous, because it is difficult to choose. I went back and forth, and finally settled for their 3-egg omelet with asparagus and sheep cheese. It came with refried beans, strings of carrots and beets, small fired up tostadas and fresh tortillas (both blue and yellow corn). A small side of soggy chilaquiles was also served. A small flavorful salsa tray is also provided with 3 options, ranging from mild to hot. The asparagus spears were thin, cut up into small pieces and sautéed with mild spices. The outer egg covering soft and not overdone. If anything, there was too much sheep cheese, in certain portions of the omelet. I say this because it was an asparagus omelet, and it, instead of the cheese, should have been the star. Still, it did not take away from the other commendable aspects of the complete entree and its accompaniments. Before the meal, a small refreshing fruit plate is served. Coffee and overall service here, was mucho excellente.

The presentation of the food is nice and it tastes good. Some of the dishes that I have tried are: Tarahumara (portobello omelet), Xitomatl (entomatadas), Huichol (chilaquiles con cecina), Mulli (mole Oaxaqueño), Teotihuacán (chilaquiles con chorizo y huevo), and Coyoltzin (puntas de filete). My favorite has been the Coyoltzin because the meat is tender and juicy. I also love that they bring salsas to the table. I like the chiles with oil and vinegar that they make. Overall, a great place to have breakfast or lunch with friends and family.
