Here is a pretty good cantina in of all places boring Danville. It has a pretty basic menu. Tacos Y Nieves Calvillo is the best place in town for Mexican which isn't surprising. Besides Taco Bell there's not a lot of competition. You can get a few spicy and tasty things. At first it doesn't look like a place that serves anything good. It almost looks like it could be a convenience store from the outside. This is an actual restaurant though. Go in and order at the counter. They have a small menu so it won't take long to look it over. Bad thing is there's no alcohol. Instead they have these flavored teas. Jamaica is one of these. It's $2.50 for a cup. This is refreshing and not incredibly sweet. As for the food there's basic. Not a lot of items without meat. Only thing pretty much is the guacamole so it makes it easy for vegetarians. It's $3.75 and comes with chips. This has a nice spice and actually has vegetables and more than just avocado mash. Checking out Danville gets few results as far as food. It has this one hidden gem. Authentic Mexican cuisine that is fairly cheap. Food was prepared quickly and the staff was nice. It's in an old strip mall but I noticed right away that it was very clean in the kitchen and dining area. Can't complain about anything. I ordered the Al Pastor tacos.
