There is no indication that the adorable building is a restaurant at all - no signage indicating such. Once inside, the restaurant is clean and the aromas are amazing!!! The first telltale sign of good Mexican, to me, is the salsa. In this case, I wasn't sure our experience would go one way or the other. The salsa was completely edible, but not exciting. However, our food arrived and we were astonished at the quality and freshness of the ingredients and the perfect preparation! I ordered the pechugas, and I have NEVER had such delicious chicken in my life. My plate had 2 thinly sliced, tender chicken breasts, a salad, fresh refried beans, and rice for $8.50! My husband and I ordered a hearty appetizer (panchos), 2 entrees, and drinks, took home leftovers, and our bill totaled less than $31. Our server was sweet and attentive throughout our dining experience and we heard her give our compliments to the chef. We are in the area a few times a year and will definitely be returning. Arroz con pollo always is a hit for me, so why not make it even better? The Acapulco special has chicken, steak AND shrimp on top of rice, covered in cheese sauce. It doesn't get better than that. Not only are the meats a plenty in this dish, but everything about it tastes great. The meats have good flavor and get cooked well, the salad is refreshing, and you can easily make a few tacos with the provided tortillas. The cheese sauce is creamy and rich, but not too heavy so that you feel terrible after. This is the dish for sure. Overall, solid Mexican spot that will come through for you in the end. It would have been nice to have for the eggs and/or the grits. Another add would be some berries for the pancakes and waffles or even some small packs of peanut butter. They kept the buffet stocked and made sure it was tidy. I love that they have a fresh squeezed orange juice station if you want some fresh ok it's available. The waitress checked back on us regularly for coffee and water. They didn't even seem to mind that we lingered for a while after we were done eating just visiting and catching up.
