Holy Ham and wine! We came across this place after my friend checked up on Yelp. Since we're Americans who eat at around 6:00PM, the place was deserted, which was fine by me. We chose to eat downstairs which is huuuge and includes some funky trinkets and a wine cellar. We ordered a platter of the finest cheeses and meats which were to die for! I have no idea what they were, but we didn't care; that and with the Italian music playing, we enjoyed this place so much! Come here for the snacks and wine. Stay forever cause it's just that darn cute.

(March 2015 Review) Hands down the second best meal I had in Italy over a two week vacation. The crew working the counter were absolutely awesome and very eager to answer any questions. The pure art form of food they brought out was wonderful! Prices were stellar as well, make this a must on your trip to Siena.

This place is an absolute must! Good service, the most delicious board of meats, cheeses, veggies, and of course delicious wine! I wish we had a place like this back home. If you come to Siena you must visit this place!

We had a quick lunch yesterday and ordered a panini and appetizer tray for two. It was delicious ! The value for the price and what you get was amazing. The appetizer tray was so good, I know when I get back home, I'll be thinking about this amazing find while in Siena. The staff were very nice, helped us despite our language barrier. One of them was surprised when we had to leave soon , and asked if the food was ok. The food was absolutely ok but our bus might take off soon, we had to eat in a rush and put some of the food in the plastic plates. I wish we had more time to sit and enjoy the experience. Grazie to the staff and crew.

Excellent. The charcuterie for 2 has quite a plethora of meats, fresh fruits, such as nectarine, figs, and grapes, and the two options of bread and bruschetta topped if off. We enjoyed some of their local craft beers and the lunch tray for 2, which held us over all evening. Delicious!

For two! Truffle oil with poppy seed on beef became a favorite

This place is fantastic - the owner is charmingly friendly and the stupid-pumping Greenday / Paramore / Bon Jovi mix behind the hanging meats, ecclectic lighting choices and spirling options for seating - it's a calling to relax on this off side street in Siena. I'd come here for the snack boards and while didn't see it on the menu (I have not worked on my Italian in any way, food culture is food culture respect no matter the language from what I can tell) I asked about the "Snack Board" and the owner immediately brightened even more - I guess he was well known for this! He offered for us to grab a seat and he'd put the board together. We wandered down into the seating options but chose to sit outside since it was shaded by the building - what I'd initially think of as weird but smart benches and tabletops picnic-style right along the building in the alleyway looking down to the passer-bys and would later see as commonplace in Siena. Wine came out first - solid recommendations and I really enjoyed mine so much I'd snag a bottle on the way out. Then came the snack board - an EPIC, EPIC (Not kidding we had fully two families stop, gawk and phone photo us picking on our appetite, but hey We had just come off a long bike ride in the tuscan hills so yeah, you don't feel guilty attacking) spread which the owner went over - Ricotta and Sundired tomatoes, truffle oil on beef carpaccio, prosciutto from the local hills so it was thicker with a spice to it, tomato and raddicchio with balsamic, pears and honey, two other spreads on bruschetta - we plucked along polishing off the quality ingredients and luxuriously dipping the prosciutto into the genergous leftovers of truffle oil. Loved that, entirely. Ate it fully - we had an appetite and the selection was incredibly welcome for us. Got my wine on the way out (if you like it, buy it!) and felt that overall value was there - friendly, hip, easy, supremely tasty and welcome recommendations. All you would want from a Meat, wine & snacks stop (if a little heavy on the Greenday ;))

I stopped here for lunch during a day trip to Siena. I was alone so I ordered the small board (5 euros) and a glass of their sweetest red wine (2.50 euros). The board consisted of two types of salami, prosciutto, cheese (I can't remember the name), three slices of bread with different spreads, and veggies drizzled with balsamic. There was also a bowl of sliced bread on the side. Everything was delicious. I would definitely return & recommend it to others who visit Siena!

This place is one of the coolest wine bars I have ever been too. In fact I went here 3 times. You can select a platter of some of the finest meats, cheeses and olives to munch on whilst drinking some of the best local wines that are on offer. The house wines that are superb start out at about €4 per glass.. They also have a selection of beers and soft drink. The atmosphere here is incredible. It is housed in an old historic building where you go down a set of stairs to some cellars with tables. They play some funky music to keep you entertained. If the weather is fine there are also some tables on the side street. It has free wifi. It is situated inside the walls of the city about 200m from the amazing Piazza del campo. If you want to have a nice relaxing drink with some fantastic fresh produce to eat head to this place.. You will not be disappointed. The staff speak pretty good English and are very helpful when it comes to selecting wines and food.

We are staying at an AirBnB down the street and we were blown away by the quality, presentation and price of this gem!! Amazing charcuterie boards and for a very reasonable price. So good we went back twice! Great place for an appetizer and then we went elsewhere for dinner. The woman who helped uwas extremely friendly and helpful as well!

Loved this little wine bar tucked in off the beaten path in Siena. Delicious meat & cheese board (we just asked the owner to bring a sampler) and great wines. Reasonably priced. Outdoor seating is charming but be sure to check out the eclectic decor inside. Exactly what we were looking for as a before dinner bite to eat.

    View from the club house

Far and ways the best meat/cheese/snack board I have found in Siena. Very friendly staff and great selection! If you ask about the different wines they are more than happy to help you decide on the right glass for you. Be sure to check out the view from the clubhouse straight back from the main door.

Straight ahead is the seating area

By far the best food I had in Italy ! My best friend and I were on a hunt to find this place in Siena! And we did it's a tiny little shop on the corner. We went in and ordered a board for 2 and each got a glass of wine. We were led down narrow stairs to a basement setting seating. It was so cool ! The decor was awesome! One of the coolest places I had been to in Siena for sure. Food like this is what makes me wanna go back !

It didn't feel as somebody just getting us to eat their food but rather getting their own honest personal take on the dishes. And of course the food was phenomenal. Everything so fresh and tasty. We may even go back a second time during our visit to try a different dish. We didn't have reservations and they were able to sit us down. However, it's not a big place and especially if you want to sit outside which you should, try to make a reservation. We had the beef tartare with almonds and truffle. Amazing. And the cheeses were so yummy also. Our main course was beef and the wild boar stew (which was delicious). The tiramisu and the chocolate cake were also great. And for red wine? I included a picture of our choice. For €35 it's highly recommended.

Here in Italy people do not tip their waiters, I wouldn't feel right not tipping these waiters! I felt like I was in someone's home. Very cozy, family-owned restaurant with great prices and nice Tuscan cuisine…read more We stopped here for a lunch after we had visited Duomo. Very friendly service. Relatively fast. I've heard that most of the customers tend to be locals, although they were mostly tourists (and mostly American) when I visited. The pastas looked very good and if I were to go again, I would get the ravioli or the fettuccine. My friend and I both got the veal (9.50euro), which was more like a stew. A lot of meat, although I'm not a huge meat eater. My friend eats a lot of meat though and he said it was alright. We probably wouldn't get this again and would've preferred something else had we known. Some of the slices were just far too fatty for my taste. But it was soft meat that was easily chewed and the stew sauce was good with the bread. Would have also liked fresher bread. It was crisp and hard, especially considering they charge a 1 euro cover for the bread. Overall, not a bad place. And a good break from all the pasta/pizza we've been having. But it wasn't anything special from what we had. Great prices though, only 23 euro for everything, including the wine which was very good and 4.50 euro for 1/2 liter.
