It's alright. I have had better from a lady selling in the middle of the street from her stand. We ordered two different kinds. Steak and cheese and beans. There was more cheese than steak, but the bean one was small but really good. I don't think I will be back anytime soon. read more

Located off the NW 22 Street exit off the Palmetto in Hialeah, La Paousa is a great Salvadoran restaurant. In the past I've had the tamales and arroz con Mariiscos. This time I tried the fish platter. And enchilada. My friend had the swai filet with French fries. Enchilada was a meal in itself. It was the best enchilada I ever had. The fish platter was huge with various kinds of fish as you can see in the photo. The sauce was out of this world. When I am near Hialeah this is my go too place. I recommend you try it. read more

I usually swing by here after a veterinarian visit since that's the only time I'm ever in this area. It's not the prettiest place but the service is always stellar and the food is even better. Food comes out fresh and quick... but maybe it's because I'm only ever here between 10am-1pm and that's their down time? I always order: Desayuno típico -traditional breakfast. It includes two eggs, beans, queso blanco, plantains, chorizo, 1 tortilla, 1 pupusa. I get my eggs fried and opt for the queso and chicharrón pupusa. Insane. Everything comes out fresh, all the flavors compliment each other perfectly. Probably one of my favorite breakfast dishes ever... and they have breakfast all day! They also have good coffee and delicious fresh squeezed Orange juice. Every time I have ever been here has been awesome. It's not trendy or high class, it is homey and cozy. Everything tastes like a home cooked meal. Surprised by the low ratings, this place definitely deserves the benefit of the doubt. read more

Though it is not a glamorous or luxurious restaurant, it is definitely a cultural experience. You can a sense for the culture and somewhat teleport as you dine. The service is slow but friendly and the food is fresh. I definitely recommend the pupusas over the baleadas. La Pupusa Factory is definitely a place I feel comfortable going to going for a quick lunch with coworkers, cheap eats with friends, or a solo evening bite. I give it 5 stars for the fact that you get great food and service that exceeds your expectations considering the prices. A full Pupusa meal would cost me around $5, and the cabbage salad with chips and salsa are unlimited. The other entrees do seem pricey in my opinion, but for the most part the menu is a huge bang for your buck. The waitresses are all also very sweet and make you feel welcome. I wouldn't suggest that you come to this restaurant with the expectations of anything very gourmet, it's home style food and very casual. It also doesn't get very loud inside of the restaurant so it's a great place to come for conversation without feeling like you're being rushed out. read more

Had great recommendations and was accommodating to our requests to cha ge certain menu items. The food arrived fast hot and super delicious! Pupusas were a hit as they were larger than any other pupusas we have had and they used the right ammount and type of cheese to maintain the authenticity. The food was quite good, but it took us over an hour to get our to-go order. They had signs explaining that they were under-staffed and would be slow, but they had told us that meant 20 minutes. After 40 minutes they kept telling us it would be coming right up. Still took a bit over an hour to get it. The papusas are large, and tasty. But the red sauce was backed in sandwich bags knotted shut. Seriously. So you couldn't measure out a bit of sauce, just dump it all over after cutting the bag open. Who packages liquids like that?? The carne asada was only so-so. Didn't have a very fresh taste. Beans were really good. read more

I have to admit, I usually look for good Salvadorian food when I travel. I heard so much about La Pupusa Factory in Hialeah that we had to drop by and try it while visiting my cousin. Unfortunately, I was disappointed the pupusas are over priced, almost $4 for the small once, more if you want it on rice flour. They have three different sizes of pupusas. The pupusas didn't have a lot of flavor. The young lady that helped us was very attentive at first but didn't follow up once we got the food. The restaurant was pretty cold temperature wise as well. I'm sure the people in the kitchen benefit from the cool temperature inside but it was a bit too much for a mostly empty eating space. The jugos were actually really good and tasty, I would definitely recommend them. But as far as pupusas there are much better places in Florida for a lot less cost. read more

I found this restaurant by chance and I loved it. The baleadas are AMAZING! I tried the one with meat and the one with eggs. Delicious. Pupusas are good too, I had bean and cheese and it was very cheesy. The service is good too, the lady was extremely friendly. I came for a second time with a friend and it was 10:30pm. We ordered food and drinks and never felt rushed to leave even though they close at 11pm. Great service. I will be coming back. read more

First time eating anything from la papusa factory and I have to say, I'm really surprised at the vast menu they offer. So many delicious looking plates. Unfortunately I can't try all of them, but I was fortunate enough to try their Baleadas. I ordered two steak Baleadas and a mandarin Jarito. I was totally satisfied with my choice. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic and safety & health measures there's no indoor seating nor outside. But you can easily call in and place your order. The service was great super attentive and their pretty fast with the dish preparation. I will be returning to try more of the items on the menu. Especially the papusa. Ordered take out but found out they had a drive thru too. While the pupusa was a bit pricey, it is huge! I ordered one with chorizo, beans, and cheese. Absolutely loved it. My only complaint was the salad portion. I love to have a bit of salad with every bite but they gave me a sample cup of salad. Like what you normally get sauces in. I don't know much about Salvadoran food, though Mexican food lovers will find much of it familiar, there seems to be a few distinct differences. Pupusas are one of them. Sort of like an Arepa with various fillings, don't let the name put you off, these things are awesome. On my first visit I tried the Bandeja Garica, a sampler platter of gut busting goodness. Ok, so, I was a bit skeptical walking in here with these reviews.. but, I'm glad I stayed and tried their pupusas. I ordered the "gigante especial" (special giant) which is a corn tortilla stuffed with cheese, pork, and refried beans.. YUM!! It was a generous size, crunchy, cheesy, filling and satisfying. It comes with a coleslaw and some pinkish sauce that I wish I could've tried but the containers were not appealing and honestly grossed me out. On a positive note, my order was only $4 bucks.. also the bathroom is not as gross as it looks in the pics (at least not the girls restroom) it was fresh and clean! read more

For a place named "Pupusa Factory", you would think they could make pupusas a lot faster. Service is SO SLOW. First of all, we came in and sat down and there were several empty tables. It took almost 15 minutes for the waitress to come and ask to take our order. We should have known then to just walk out. After we finally ordered, we saw at least 2 other tables sit down, order after us, get their food, and one even finished and left before we even got our food.
