It's alright. I have had better from a lady selling in the middle of the street from her stand. We ordered two different kinds. Steak and cheese and beans. There was more cheese than steak, but the bean one was small but really good. I don't think I will be back anytime soon.

    Breakfast

The food was pretty good. The breakfast came out fast. The service was good. The environment was chill and welcoming.

Located off the NW 22 Street exit off the Palmetto in Hialeah, La Paousa is a great Salvadoran restaurant. In the past I've had the tamales and arroz con Mariiscos. This time I tried the fish platter. And enchilada. My friend had the swai filet with French fries. Enchilada was a meal in itself. It was the best enchilada I ever had. The fish platter was huge with various kinds of fish as you can see in the photo. The sauce was out of this world. When I am near Hialeah this is my go too place. I recommend you try it.

Desayuno típico - so flavorful and filling. Perfect breakfast.

I usually swing by here after a veterinarian visit since that's the only time I'm ever in this area. It's not the prettiest place but the service is always stellar and the food is even better. Food comes out fresh and quick... but maybe it's because I'm only ever here between 10am-1pm and that's their down time? I always order: Desayuno típico -traditional breakfast. It includes two eggs, beans, queso blanco, plantains, chorizo, 1 tortilla, 1 pupusa. I get my eggs fried and opt for the queso and chicharrón pupusa. Insane. Everything comes out fresh, all the flavors compliment each other perfectly. Probably one of my favorite breakfast dishes ever... and they have breakfast all day! They also have good coffee and delicious fresh squeezed Orange juice. Every time I have ever been here has been awesome. It's not trendy or high class, it is homey and cozy. Everything tastes like a home cooked meal. Surprised by the low ratings, this place definitely deserves the benefit of the doubt.

La Pupusa Factory is definitely a place I feel comfortable going to going for a quick lunch with coworkers, cheap eats with friends, or a solo evening bite. I give it 5 stars for the fact that you get great food and service that exceeds your expectations considering the prices. A full Pupusa meal would cost me around $5, and the cabbage salad with chips and salsa are unlimited. The other entrees do seem pricey in my opinion, but for the most part the menu is a huge bang for your buck. The waitresses are all also very sweet and make you feel welcome. I wouldn't suggest that you come to this restaurant with the expectations of anything very gourmet, it's home style food and very casual. It also doesn't get very loud inside of the restaurant so it's a great place to come for conversation without feeling like you're being rushed out.

Great food at very good price. The pupusas and soups are great with forgetting the delicious Cacao drinks!

First time eating anything from la papusa factory and I have to say, I'm really surprised at the vast menu they offer. So many delicious looking plates. Unfortunately I can't try all of them, but I was fortunate enough to try their Baleadas. I ordered two steak Baleadas and a mandarin Jarito. I was totally satisfied with my choice. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic and safety & health measures there's no indoor seating nor outside. But you can easily call in and place your order. The service was great super attentive and their pretty fast with the dish preparation. I will be returning to try more of the items on the menu. Especially the papusa. I've heard great things about this place and definitely recommend their steak baleadas. Super delicious. And very filling.

    Fresh Pupusas.

Food and service is always good. The area is clean and the location is ok. Parking could be better but not enough spaces.

Fortunately, a coworker pointed me toward Latin American Grill in Miami Lakes, just a few minutes from our hotel. It turned out to be exactly the sendoff I was hoping for. We started with the Sopa de Pollo, a bowl that made it immediately clear this kitchen isn't interested in shortcuts. Large chunks of chicken, tender vegetables, and noodles floated in a broth with remarkable depth. It wasn't simply chicken soup, it was the kind of soup that makes you wonder why every other version tastes so timid. A squeeze of fresh lime added just enough brightness to wake up every spoonful without distracting from the richness of the broth. Then came the reason for the visit. The Medianoche. I've always preferred the sweeter cousin of the traditional Cuban sandwich, and Latin American Grill makes a terrific one. Thick slices of ham and juicy mojo pork were layered with Swiss cheese, mustard, and pickles before being pressed between soft, sweet bread until the outside turned beautifully crisp. Every ingredient had a purpose. The pork brought richness, the ham added salt, the mustard and pickles cut through the fat with welcome acidity, and the sweet bread tied everything together. It's one of those sandwiches that reminds you how satisfying simplicity can be when every component is done well. Sometimes the best restaurant recommendations don't come from guidebooks or social media. They come from someone who simply says, "You should eat here." In this case, they were absolutely right. A great Cuban sandwich doesn't need reinvention. It just needs great ingredients, careful execution, and a hot press. Latin American Grill delivers all three.

However, from both experiences, this is a solid spot when you're craving Cuban comfort food. My most recent order was lunch for myself today. I have a Fitness challenge coming up at OTF I need to bulk up more than my usual salad and chopchops. I ordered their pollo à la plancha (grilled chicken), moros rice and tostones. My order was a pretty good size came delivered at a good temperature. I will say the order was mostly rice, but the grilled chicken breast was bad enough and had a nicely tangy citrus marinade plus lots of little onions. This is a spot you can't go wrong with for the classics!

( The pure de Malanga comes in a large container (see pics) It's nice and creamy and warm soothing for the belly! There is enough to share or save for a later meal. ( But...I've also been guilt to eat all in serving!) some saltine crackers go great with it. This last time he added some white rice, grilled chicken and 2 huge tostones. ( shareable portion) As well I finished the grilled chicken and 1 tostone between lunch and dinner) opted to leave the rice and 1 tostone by out this time. On other occasions I have eaten the white rice and let me tell you it's moist... even my daughter ( whom is a picky teenager...that loves Cuban food) said " that's some good rice!" The grilled chicken is savory seasoned but not overly. It's like nice juicy flavor but not too over powering. The meal is was perfect to share or split in between two meals or even just indulge it all in one searing! You will be satisfied for hours and for good reason too! .

It was on a Friday night and they had live music playing with was nice for the occasion. With our pre-selected menu, we ordered a glass of Cabernet, their house salad (very vinegary!!! A tad bit too much in my personal opinion), and for entree the 8 oz baby tenderloin churrasco. (Shout out to one of our waiters! I didn't catch her name but she was honest with the menu recommendations and advised us to order the baby tenderloin churrasco which was a hit!). The mariquitas kept on coming around the table and we were stuffed. Another perk was how fast the service was. Even with our large group, we barely waited in between courses. Though they have a preset menu for corporate type events, our boss was generous enough to let us select off the open menu. The decor is made to look like the inside of a hacienda with the tile roofs and stucco columns (yes you tell I'm a structural engineer :) The music was mostly 80s ballads, and service was very attentive. They even brought one of the desserts with a candle for a colleague's birthday, and took our group's photo. We started with a couple of baskets of buttered herbed Cuban bread and dipping chimichurri, as well as an appetizer sampler including refried beans, fried cheese and tequenos. The fried cheese was served on a little piece of pita bread and is a must try. I also enjoyed the refried bean soup, especially when dipped with plantain chips. As far as my main course, everyone knows how much I love cows! I enjoyed a sizable piece of churrasco, juicy even at medium well, sweet plantains and moros (here they serve it with red beans instead of black beans) and crispy house-made plantain chips. The Tres leches was also very fluffy, with a lot of cream and perfect enough to send me to a nice little after lunch nap. I also washed it down with Cortadito.
