    Roasted pork, congri, yuca

We've been going here for over 35 years! Like every restaurant you have good experiences and you have not so good experiences. The waitress, the food, the ambiance, the temperature of the food, the crowd, all can contribute to your experience on any given day. Overall, if you're Cuban, you know the food is consistently good and reasonably priced. If you're not Cuban, you will always have complainers saying it's not like they're country. Daily specials, great soups/stews, meat, chicken, fish, all available. Sandwiches are LEGIT! You will always see local cops in there, families, groups. Lechón asado (shredded roasted pork) with onions, yuca, black rice with black beans (congri), is my favorite plate. Got to have a shot of Cuban coffee to close out the meal. Almost forgot dessert, flan, rice pudding, tres leches, variety of shakes. Great family restaurant!

It's Latin American, part of a chain? Hard to tell these days, the names all become the same. Food was average, not to expect anything out of this world. Both my mom and I ordered the same beef soup and both times we asked for it to please be warmer, they missed the mark. Otherwise very tasty. Soup was enormous, with a side of rice. Service was attentive and kind. We sat outside with the unusual nice weather on a hot summer Miami day!

Good food. Good service. Very fast pace. They are always on the go. They got a little window for a quick coffee. Plenty of seating. They are busy.

Went here for the first time the other night. We found it as we were looking to eat some Cuban food and it was pretty late. We stumbled upon this spot and what a pleasant find. Walking in I knew it had to be good because it was pretty full late in the evening on a weekday. The food and service backed it up! We had the vaca frita which was crispy and full of flavor with the mojo onions, and the Palomilla that was tender and well seasoned with Moros and Maduros. Very flavorful Cuban food with generous portions and the service was super fast and efficient. This played well in our favor because we were starving. We will be back !

There were a variety of Spanish tablas, appetizers, platters, sandwiches and also a menu for lunch that included burgers. However I opted for the salmon bowl. The staff member who assisted me wasn't friendly at all. I asked for any fresh juices and she pointed to the juices on top the counter. I ordered a ginger ale. I also ordered fries and I wasn't even asked for the sauces, my ordered came with mayo-ketchup. As for the Salmon bowl, wild quinoa was served with lots of fresh lettuce and arugula with a couple of red onions and thin sliced amount of smoked salmon. Nothing special about this dish just very bland flavor of the salmon and the cheese didn't tasted like mozzarella. As for the dressing the salad was served with mustard vinaigrette. The restaurant looked clean and tidy but it needs to improve on customer service and also get rid of flies inside the venue.

After a full day of work, the last thing I wanted to do was drive across Miami in search of dinner…read more Fortunately, Miami Lakes has its own surprises. One of them is 1910 Restaurant & Bar, a Spanish-inspired restaurant that blends premium steaks, seafood, and a little theatrical flair without losing sight of flavor. The meal opened with an order of Cheese Balls, crisp golden spheres that reminded me of pão de queijo, except they skipped most of the bread and focused almost entirely on the cheese. The exterior shattered pleasantly, giving way to a molten, creamy center. Paired with a pineapple sauce, each bite balanced sweet and salty in exactly the right proportions. My wife ordered the Australian Wagyu Flap Sirloin, a 12-ounce cut grilled over charcoal and served with house-made chimichurri. It was everything you hope Wagyu will be, deeply beefy, wonderfully tender, and rich without becoming overwhelming. The chimichurri added brightness without stealing the spotlight. Then came the dish that first caught my attention. The La Reina de la Casa, or "Queen of the House." At first glance, it almost feels designed for social media, a cheese pizza crowned with an enormous grilled octopus. I would be lying if I said that presentation didn't influence my order. Fortunately, this wasn't style over substance. The pizza itself stood on its own with a crisp crust and generous layer of bubbling cheese. The octopus, however, was the reason to order it. It was expertly grilled, tender without a hint of chewiness, and seasoned with a spice blend the server politely described as the chef's secret. Whatever was in that seasoning deserved to remain a secret, because it transformed an already well-cooked octopus into something memorable. Dessert brought things back to the classics with a crème brûlée. The sugar crust cracked cleanly beneath the spoon, revealing a silky vanilla custard underneath. Simple, elegant, and exactly the ending the meal needed. 1910 could have leaned heavily on flashy presentations and premium ingredients. Instead, it paired both with thoughtful execution. That's a far more difficult trick to pull off. Some restaurants earn attention because they're photogenic. The best ones earn repeat visits because the food is every bit as impressive as the photos.

Unfortunately, this dining experience fell far short of expectations, especially for the price…read morepoint. Our server wasn't very personable and never introduced herself. She simply approached the table and immediately asked what type of water we wanted, which set an impersonal tone for the evening. The food arrived only room temperature. The grouper dish was overwhelmed by tomatoes and Parmesan cheese, making up what felt like half the plate. It was soggy, underseasoned, and lacked any standout flavors. The steak and risotto dish was similarly disappointing. The rice was slightly undercooked, and while the steak itself was cooked properly, it was bland and lackluster. Nothing we ordered felt exceptional or justified the cost. The biggest issue came when we discovered a long piece of hair in our side of fried plantains. To the restaurant's credit, they apologized and provided a complimentary dessert, which was appreciated and is the reason this review receives one star instead of none. Overall, the service was uninspired, the food was underwhelming, and the quality did not match the prices. We won't be returning.
