However, from both experiences, this is a solid spot when you're craving Cuban comfort food. My most recent order was lunch for myself today. I have a Fitness challenge coming up at OTF I need to bulk up more than my usual salad and chopchops. I ordered their pollo à la plancha (grilled chicken), moros rice and tostones. My order was a pretty good size came delivered at a good temperature. I will say the order was mostly rice, but the grilled chicken breast was bad enough and had a nicely tangy citrus marinade plus lots of little onions. When I'm feeling under the weather my gentleman friend sends a meal from Latin House! He knows my love for a good purée de Malanga when I'm feeling ill. ( The pure de Malanga comes in a large container (see pics) It's nice and creamy and warm soothing for the belly! There is enough to share or save for a later meal. ( But...I've also been guilt to eat all in serving!) some saltine crackers go great with it. This last time he added some white rice, grilled chicken and 2 huge tostones. ( shareable portion) As well I finished the grilled chicken and 1 tostone between lunch and dinner) opted to leave the rice and 1 tostone by out this time. On other occasions I have eaten the white rice and let me tell you it's moist... even my daughter ( whom is a picky teenager...that loves Cuban food) said " that's some good rice!" The food here was pretty good and came out quickly. The day that we went it was fairly empty just my family and three other tables being occupied. Prior to this I had only been here once before although I do recommend this place I just hope that the servers have a little more patience with people that may not be familiar with their menu. I really really do not like writing negative reviews but here we go. I arrived here after 9pm to eat dinner with a friend. No one spoke any English here but my friend happily was able to order for me in Spanish. I ordered the Tuna salad. We even pointed to it on the menu to the waitress. It was $9.99. The order came out. It was a raw tuna salad which I didn't think anything of. I thought it was part of the menu. When we got the bill, the salad was $16.95. Apparently there's another tuna salad,sashimi. My friend translated and asked them to remove the item for what I had ordered but they said it was too late. It was a switch and bait situation and I couldn't defend myself to remove the charge.Basically, they gave me the wrong item and I had to pay for it. On top of that, I woke up and had stomach cramps the next day and felt sick to my stomach.I don't think the tuna was very fresh. I won't be coming back here again. We've always loved this location because of its food and service. You can compare it to any Latin America or Latin Cafe out in Miami in regards to its food OPTIONS. But this specific place has some awesome prices where you'd otherwise pay more somewhere else. Their location is small and they have a window if you want to take to go. But the indoor seating can fit at least 30 people I would guess. The waitresses are always welcoming and start you off with some toasted bread before anything else. A few things that I recommend are the sandwiches. They are all very good quality. I would also recommend ordering the Malanga Soup. If you've never had it before then you definitely need to try it. They can give you a small sample for you to try before you decide if you ask by the way. The churrasco steak is amazing. And always try some of their fresh orange juice. Cuban food was introduced to me by my fiance 4 years ago, and I have to say that the bistec empanizado (fried steak) served here is the best I have had in those 4 years. The bistec empanizado is huge and delicious. The breading is crispy and does not bubble and separate easily from the meat. The meat itself has a lot of flavor. You can tell it was marinated prior to cooking. We have tried other dishes here as well and they are all great, but what makes this place awesome (other than the bistec empanizado) is the price. The menu here is about 20-30% cheaper than places like la caretta. For example, the bistec empanizado is only $11.45! This is usually around $16-17 other places. Sandwiches are around $6-7, and they have daily specials discounting favorites even further. I only wish they had chicken croquettas (they only have ham)! If they did I would be here every morning for breakfast. If you are in the mood for some delicious fried steak, this is your spot. **Update 4/2/17: had to drop the rating to 4 stars, because my bistec empanizado was over cooked and not great on 2/4 of my subsequent visits. I have been DJing at this location for two weeks now that I have partnered up with the gentlemen that is the current resident DJ. The place is nice. Restaurant: Very spacious, food is awesome, service is good. Bar area (Were we currently DJ at): Small little area away from the restaurant. Very nice full liquor bar. You can order food at the bar so you dont have to go in the restaurant. Bartender is awesome. The music we play is up to the guest in attendance. Music kicks off at 9pm and we stop at the closing time. Kitchen is open till late so once again you can enjoy some good food in case you have to many beers or drinks. The atmosphere is very nice and laid back. I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone looking for somewhere that has food, music, and drinks under the same roof without the hassles of parking, cover charge, etc. read more

Horrible service ! They should change all the women waitress working there as they have no manners or wanting to work ! They gossip all the time and only have a decent face when a man approaches the window. Otherwise you will stay there forever. The place is well kept but could use minor retouching on floor boards and door frames. It's relatively clean looking, I didn't feel disgusted walking in by anything. It's a typical hispanic restaurant, there isn't much variety when bit comes with the food so if you don't like Spanish food or you're not out trying new things I wouldn't recommend the spot. The food I ordered was the vaca frita con cebolla (shredded fried steak with onions) the steak was amazing but to be honest I've never had a bad vaca frita anywhere I've ordered it.
