They are following great Corona Virus restrictions. I love their pineapple empanadas. They run out fast so when I was there today I was lucky enough to get them. I also bought pan de huevo, and hamburger buns which are delicious. I should have asked for the pastries to be placed in a box. The girl packed all in one bag. 9 empanadas, two pan de huevo buns and four hamburger buns. The only survivors in the bag where the hamburger buns on top. I have been coming here since I was a kid. This will forever be the best place to get Mexican sweets, tortillas and tamales and my favorite chili verde. My kids love coming here to get their cochitos and pan de huevo. All the friends I have told about here or brought sweets from here fell in love at first bite. I will be a regular here for as long as they are open and I know my kids will too. You will not be disappointed if you have not been here. Great authentic Mexican treats! I was told about this place by one of my patients so I just had to stop by here while I'm in the area. Tamales is what I came for. It as you can see I got a few other things. Cash only, just FYI. And more than likely you will have a little bit of a wait as the line can be out the door, but it moves at a steady pace, so don't let that discourage you! Made from scratch Mexican pastries! They're so good they practically melt in your mouth. The only down side is that you have to pay with cash but it's honestly worth the trip to the ATM. Tortillas are really great, they are some of the best around. They make burritos too which are just ok. As for the pan dulce to me it's just ok, nothing to rave about, I feel like there are smaller panaderias all around that are better in my opinion. Haven't tried the donuts though. read more

Best tamales ever... great breads, excellent desserts. Go early in the morning so they don't run out of anything you want. Lines at 6am.

A few rules to follow before stepping inside. 1. BRING CASH! 2. They don't have a public restroom, so if you are in line, and you want to do the potty dance, you will have to come back in line, which leads me to #3 3. COME EARLY, EVERYTHING IS FRESHLY MADE, but the place is ALWAYS PACKED. Even if the line goes quick, so do the items. I strongly believe in supporting my local economy and independent business. I always walk in a do the famous gesture done by THE ROCK as I whiff up all the sweet smells. This is one of those spots I purchase my Mexican baked pastries from. Everything is made fresh and daily. They also have tortillas being made fresh and in front of you on a daily basis. The place is super clean, everyone wears gloves and picks up your pastries with the tonsils, and the ladies all have nets on their heads. I often had a tendency to stop here before work in the morning and pick up a box of goodies to share with my co-workers. What I like the most I think is the server always asks if I want my bread in a box or in a bag. There are many items to choose from? What do I recommend? All of it. If this is your first time here though, some must items are: 1. A concha (any flavor/color) - There soft breads, good to eat with coffee. I've never had a hard concha here. 2. A cochito: It is similar to a gingerbread cookie in shape of a little pig. 3. An empanada: This is similar to a turn over. I recommend an empanada de piña (pineapple) 4. A gallata de bandera: This is a cookie of three colors. They call it a galleta de bandera because the Mexican Flag has three colors, and well, these cookies do too. 5. A fluta: These are similar to Connolly but they have fruit instead of cream inside. Get one de manzana (apple) or piña. I hear they have churros here though I have never tried them, it is on my to do list next time I come. Why don't you ask, and try some, then let me know? Right?.. Anyways, there is so much to choose from that I recommend you try something different every time you stop by. read more

We got tamales (green, red, and rajas), the green and rajas were good, but the red chile were bland. Haven't tried their Menudo, that is only sold during the weekend, nor the burritos, which I am guessing are filled with the same green and red chile. read more

The bread is so fresh and light, not heavy and tough like other bakeries. When you bite into it omg you can just taste the freshness and how soft the bread is. Since they baje through out the day the bread is always fresh. You can find unusual but delicious Mexican bread here. The line is ALWAYS long so expect at least a 15-20 minutes wait. The wait will be worth it though. They also sell buckets of masa ready for tamales. The staff is semi friendly but they try to quickly help you so they can move on to the next customer. They make fresh tortillas every day here They are the best I've had. A few people told me they make the best tortillas in the valley. I love the flavor also of their red and green chili burritos. They are my favorite. The bad - I was in shock how small they were. They reminded me of a flauta and they are $4.50 each. I had to purchase two in order to be satisfied, not full.. I would still buy them when I crave them though, they are that good to me. Still I feel you do not get your moneys worth. Other people in line complained to me about the size / price of them. I also purchased 2 doz tamales....they are $2.50 each . I got 1 doz green and 1 doz red chili. I love them but some were very tiny and they skimp on the meat. My brother ate some also, and he really liked them too. I would buy them again since I do not make them. The pastries looked beautiful in the cases. We decided to try a variety of items. Fresh hot tortillas:) our churros were rock hard and not edible. The tres strawberry leche cake looked beautiful but was super dried out:( Also just an FYI prices aren't posted so make sure to ask $. Customer service was terrific!!
