Vietnamese soup is a personal favorite. This is the best I have come across. Husband liked his beef pho. We will definitely be coming back.

It has that hole-in-the-wall feel off Aurora, but honestly, this is some of the best Vietnamese food I have ever had. I am Vietnamese myself, and I have been looking for months, really years, for a Vietnamese restaurant in the Seattle area that actually feels worth coming back to. A lot of places have been average, or they have dishes like bún riêu or bún bò Huế on the menu but do not really do them well. Lotus Pond does. I tried the bún riêu and the bò né with steak and sizzling eggs, and both were delicious. My friend got the seafood pho and loved it too. Everything tasted like someone actually cared about the food, and I really appreciated seeing menu items that you usually have to search far and wide for, or go somewhere like Orange County or Houston to find done properly. The only downside is that it is definitely on the expensive side, but I will absolutely be coming back. The outside may not be flashy, but the food is seriously worth it.

Fast forward a year later to a Sunday at 12:30pm and I finally made the long drive here without going through Aurora Ave since my GPS randomly decided to give my road rage some grace. This place has plenty parking around the perimeter, so it was easy settling in. Only confusion was finding the entrance to this place, but when I did I was actually surprised where I was stepping into. Inside is laid back and cool with plenty of seating for groups of various sizes. There's tables and booths, and I got booth seating for myself when I walked in. There's a TV playing sports nearby where I was, and Vietnamese pop music was playing in the background too. Menu consists of regular foods in most Vietnamese restaurants, though their provincial noodle soups and banh mi sandwiches caught my eye. They even have bún măng vịt (duck and bamboo shoot noodle soup), my favorite that I gotta try next time I come here! From my IG feeds and as a starting point, I got their bánh mì thịt heo nướng (grilled pork Vietnamese sandwich), which comes with all the works of a regular banh mi sandwich, though I was kinda surprised how brightly orange the grilled pork was. Regardless, it was tasty and the meat was juicy. The pork pate added a nice savory touch to the sandwich, and no other condiment was in excess that it took away taste from the flavorful grilled pork. Staff was very kind throughout, and refilled my water every now and then. It was also nice chatting with one of them about our day and other recommendations from the menu. There's so much to have on their menu so I need to make the drive here again to have more of their stuff!

This was on a Friday at 6pm and we came to a very empty parking lot until you try parking closer to the many businesses located along the Bella Bottega Shopping Center where this gem is located. Inside is very casual with a ton of tables that can seat various group sizes, and my friend and I got a seat closest to the register. Menu has typical items for a Vietnamese restaurant like pho, banh mi sandwiches, bun, rice dishes and vegetarian options. There was actually a lot of stuff so I was slightly overwhelmed. I got their large phở tái bò viên, which is pho with medium rare beef and meatballs. Note that there is only a $1 difference before tax between the medium- and large-size pho, and I saw the medium bowls being much smaller than the large one I got, so it's worth getting the larger one! Broth is warm, aromatic and comforting with the right amount of everything, and the meats inside gave it more depth. The noodles kept together easily in my bowl and did not break apart easily when picking them up with my chopsticks. I also asked for extra beef, which is $4 more; this was put inside my pho instead of being served raw on a separate plate like i've seen in other Vietnamese restaurants. My friend got their Yummy Noodles house special bun with chicken, and he loved it a lot! It was served in the same bowl size as the large pho I got, hence he couldn't finish what was in front of him entirely. Awesome food here, annd an awesome place that had a ton of people throughout our one-hour time here!

THIS IS THE SPOT. first of all, they have thai tea AND bubble tea AND vietnamese coffee AND egg banh mi (upon request) AND pho... i feel like so many places either have vietnamese coffee OR thai tea?? or they don't do egg banh mi?? this has ALL OF THEM secondly, huh???? that was a small?? i know pho "small" is always huge, but i feel like i usually slurp up all the noodles, and then i'm like... well now there's just broth... but if i ask for extra noodles, then i'm in noodle hell. this had noodles and meat the ENTIRE way through. idk how they did it. i think it's a mixture of extra noodles and also the broth was actually so noticeably delicious like i just kept just drinking spoonfuls of the broth when usually i'm pretty focused on the noodles. but this time i was balanced between noodles and broth and omg i am so full also the thai tea is so pretty!! it's not just like all bright orange, it looks so pretty and tastes awesome and then??? huh???? $25??? the price??? it's still crazy to me that pho prices have gone up so much over the years, but this feels like totally doable and not guilty at all also staff was very attentive!! and it was not super huge and busy, but also not dead!! i will definitely be coming back!!

The beef rib itself was really good, but the pho broth was pretty standard and didn't have much depth or complexity. Everything looked impressive, but the flavors didn't quite match the presentation. Staff were friendly and the experience wasn't bad at all, just a little underwhelming. It definitely satisfies a pho craving, but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to come back.
