Every time I shop at the Southgate Oriental Market--and since the weather here is almost always rainy--the pho smelled so good that I finally decided to give this place a try. Back in California, I went on a mission to find the most authentic, best pho, so my expectations are usually super high. Tried giving this place another chance after years. Years ago remember the food being okay but a bit pricey and not the best service. Sadly not much has changed. Ordered the I Love Pho and the broth was good but I noticed the beef tendon I was biting into had a hair like thing in it. I immediately lost my appetite and investigated. It was not a long black hair but nasty enough it was a long black string which also shouldn't be in the food. I had to raise my hand to get a server to help me. He grabbed the older gentleman who immediately did apologize and gave me a weird explanation basically admitting fault and saying this happens. Seems food safety is not priority here. He offered me a new bowl or something else and said he would not charge me but I lost my appetite and couldn't trust it after that so I decided to leave and won't be returning ever and don't recommend. read more

I Love Pho was a good place to stop for lunch after running an errand nearby in Factoria. We ordered the fried chicken wings, beef pho and combo vermicelli noodles. The wings were crispy and under-seasoned and the beef pho was good though we would've liked the broth to be be served hotter. Plus side is the egg roll and shrimp in the combo meal were delish and cooked perfectly. However, the grilled pork was too dry. Was in the area to watch a movie and wanted to try their Vietnamese coffee. Coffee was authentic in flavor and very strong. I have been here multiple times now. Their pho is very average at best. Especially nowadays, many pho restaurants have really stepped up their game while this place....hasn't changed much. I think it may be the star anise... The broth has a distinct difference that does not work quite well for me and it is different from other places. Today though I felt like venturing out and ordered their egg noodles with wontons and Chinese-style BBQ pork and it was actually surprisingly good! If I had to review just based on today's experience, I would have given this place 4 stars. Portions were big and I love all the veggies they put in here. This is one of my absolute favorite pho spots! I usually order pho every time I come, but today I wanted to try something different, so I ordered the Mongolian beef. I was honestly so surprised -- the beef was incredibly tender and literally melted in my mouth. The sauce was also amazing, and I kept saying "wow" while eating because it was that good. Most barren sandwich ever. The ingredients are TRYING to be there, and it's like 1 string of cilantro (see photo), 1 pinch of pickled veggies, a thin slice of cucumber, and the smallest chili piece, tinier than anything I've ever seen. I hate leaving bad reviews and I wish I had more good things to say, but the whole thing was basically bread and mayonnaise. My friend's sandwich (also the special) looked the same, except they forgot the chilies in hers, and we did not opt out of any ingredients. Just appalling. I visited I Love Pho to get takeout pho (had to) my friend and me for our weekly takeout dinner on Mondays, as we were both craving some pho on a rainy day. While searching on Yelp, I decided to give I Love Pho a try, and it was solid. I was able to easily order ahead of time through their website and set it for a 7:30PM pick-up that same day. Located in Factoria in a business strip across from the mall, I went in to get the takeout and it was all neatly wrapped in a bag, ready to go by the door. In and out, just like that. Because of how neatly our entrees were all wrapped up for us, we were able to simply assemble our bowls, with the toppings in a separate bag, broth in a separate bowl and the rice noodles under the protein in another bowl. They also gave us a small packet of hoisin and sriracha. I recommend making sure you have some on hand if you're getting takeout, depending on how much sriracha or hoisin you want to add to your bowl. I ordered my pho with brisket and rare beef and my friend had the tofu one. Her broth was a chicken-base, so not sure if there's a true vegetarian pho, but something to note. I enjoyed how hearty my beef broth was, and would say it was my favorite part of the pho. The broth was fragrant, but had a savory taste to it, from the simmer of the beef bones. I was also glad that my rare beef was indeed rare, so just basically cooked once it was dunked into the hot broth. Overall, glad to have found this pho spot in the Factoria area, as it's a solid option for when you're craving pho after shopping across the street. This isn't my favorite pho place but it'll do in a pinch (or when you've been in quarantine for months and are craving Vietnamese food). I ordered egg rolls and a combo vermicelli bowl (bun) to go and the order was ready really quickly. The food was all fresh and super hot (so hot the styrofoam to go container warped in places). The combo vermicelli bowl comes with egg rolls, pork, and shrimp and all were cooked well. The size of the portion seemed larger than I remembered and I ended up with a lot of leftover noodles and veg. My only complaint is that the container they used had sections in it, which made it difficult to mix the ingredients in the "bowl" well, but that was only a minor inconvenience. read more

I've tried a lot of pho places in Seattle and Bellevue, and I was pleasantly surprised by this place! I ordered the Eye Round Beef Pho and my friend ordered the Pork Vermicelli Bowl. Both were very delicious! The pho noodles were bouncy and seemed very fresh, and the meat was tender. The broth was nothing special. I think it could be more flavorful and a little less salty, but overall was still very delicious. The vermicelli bowl makes a delicious light lunch and tastes great with the fish sauce they give!
