I decided to come in for an early dinner at 5 PM and it was pretty much empty. Super easy ordering process all online while I'm standing there. They have the freshest most fantastic ingredients and toasty crispy bread. Absolutely delicious! Friendly folks too. I ordered the bahn -mi beef sandwich and loved it. Third time here. Each time an excellent experience. $16.98 for sandwich & water

Extra noodles = on par. 12oz additional broth = on par. Extra steak for $5?? Lame

The food is great, but I was sick and ordered extra broth, steak meat, and noodles and the "extra meat" portion was a joke for +$5...

I haven't actually been here physically, just had food picked up for and have ordered for delivery. Everything I've tried has been very flavorful. The pho broth is so rich and flavorful, even before adding any seasoning. I had ordered a vermicelli bowl with no vermicelli or the fish sauce, and substituted the broccoli and carrots for the noodles (additional $2) because I was on keto. And it was still so tasty without the noodles and sauce because the lemongrass pork was so flavorful and veggies were so fresh.

Vermicelli was excellent - very flavorful. Staff was friendly. It was very busy so seems to be a hot spot. I wasn't a fan of the pork spring rolls - too much pork and not enough other stuff. I should have gotten the veggie spring rolls.

Vinason is an excellent addition to the Sammamish food scene. Other than serving up delicious eats, the employees are friendly and the restaurant inside always appears spotless. It's a positive experience each time I visit. Their straightforward menu offers pho, banh mi sandwiches, vermicelli bowls, fried rice and more. While I've heard great reviews of their pho broth, we continue returning for their Lemongrass Pork Banh Mi. The crew assembles our order within just a few minutes and packs it up nicely for us to go. I'm always pleased to find my sandwich perfectly intact once I unwrap it at home. At just $6 for a regular size, it's a pretty good deal and always fills me up. Between the chewy baguette, a layer of chopped pork comes topped with fresh pickled carrot, cucumber. jalapeno and cilantro. I typically don't detect any lemongrass flavor and the pork is on the sweeter side, but it makes for a delicious sandwich. The slight tartness of the pickled carrot and zip from the cilantro balance out the flavors while the cucumber adds a satisfying crunch. Their menu states that the banh mis include garlic aioli, but I have yet to taste it at all. It's unfortunate since it could raise the sandwich to a whole new level. One time, we ordered the Chicken Curry Fried Rice, which is comforting during the cold months. The curry sauce included large pieces of taro and super tender chicken that fell apart at just the touch of a fork. The sauce had a mild coconut milk flavor and the perfect amount of heat. Really tasty! Finally, I recommend their passionfruit green tea with boba. They combine the tea with real jam, so it has a full-bodied fruit flavor rather than an artificial taste. Their boba isn't sweetened either, so it pairs well with the already sweet tea. We've also tried their milk tea and Vietnamese Coffee, both of which were just okay. In the future, it would be nice if they offered an additional protein option (like beef) for their banh mi and vermicelli bowls, but that's just my two cents. They only have pork and chicken with the other options being vegetarian. Next time I visit, I look forward to trying their pho!

Compared to most pho places I've been, the pho here was very bland. Felt and tasted soulless. Not impressed

I have tried vinason in South lake union before and so decided to order takeout on the Eastside. The food is pretty consistent in my opinion. We got a combo pho with tofu and shrimp as well as a 16oz pho broth with steak and added veggies. The broth is good, the portion is generous as well. I also got a few spring rolls and thought they were pricier than most which doesn't make sense to me. A price of a spring roll is the same as a banh mi, but a banh mi fills you up more... Anyways, food is good and service is standard. Definitely a go to place for most Vietnamese deli food l

Our go to order is lemongrass pork fried rice, lemongrass chicken vermicelli, chicken pho, prawn spring rolls. They are always consistent, fresh and fast!

One of my absolute favorites is Ding Dong (a chocolate-forward flavor that's rich and nostalgic, like an elevated version of a childhood treat). I also love the chocolate mint for something refreshing, and the oatmeal flavor has this cozy, comforting vibe that pairs perfectly with tea or coffee. They consistently nail the texture: lightly crisp on the outside with a soft, chewy center. I also really appreciate that there's indoor seating. The last time I went, my parents were visiting, and we sat inside sipping tea and chatting. It felt warm, cozy, and just really sweet. It's not just a grab-and-go dessert spot, it's somewhere you can linger. And every time I've gone, the women working there have been genuinely friendly and welcoming. That consistency makes such a difference. Such a cute little gem in Totem Lake. Perfect for gifting or a small afternoon treat!

A purchase of any box filled with only "May exclusives" receives 30% off, while supplies last. Their smallest box is a 6 count. A box of 6 that is normally $18 sold for $12.60 with this discount. Every month 5 temporary flavors are offered as the month's exclusives. Since I love trying new flavors, this discount is a great for a snacker like me. I was pleasantly surprised (and amused) to find their macarons with custom printing at the "REVIVE I-5" booth at the University Street Fair. I was amused enough to write a separate review for them. The quality of the artwork and print colors are fantastic and vibrant with the rainbow colors. Please see photo. If I was interested in custom macarons, I would most definitely order some from Macadons. The flavor in this case is a simple vanilla, which has its charms, though I typically buy other flavors. The shell doesn't have the characteristic slight crispy, which is understandable since these are not fresh from the store. The inside is a very creamy filling that squished out on the sides as I bite down. Everyone has their own texture preferences. I personally like it less creamy. I normally buy their ice cream macarons, but these are still very good. The individual boxes make them great for small gifts.

I had a friend gathering to go to the same night, and wanted to bring some desserts so this place came to mind. For it being very wet and rainy, this place feels like a nice relief from all that with the bright lighting and the cafe-like feel of the place. There's a grassy wall near the back for photo ops, and there are some tables, window seating and front couch seating. They don't only sell macarons here; there's also coffee, tea, and macaron ice cream sandwiches. I got a baker's dozen, which comes with 12 randomly assorted regular-sized macarons in a small container. This particular one came with three limited flavors: red velvet, cran-orange and a pear-like flavor. They were marked separately on a card provided with the box that shows all their regular offerings of macaron flavors. This came to $36 compared to $40 for the same number of macarons if you wanted to choose specifically which flavors you wanted instead. I also got myself a Thai tea macaron ice cream sandwich; each one is prepackaged and $8. Both people working at the counter were extremely helpful in helping me decide what to get, and explaining the differences between both sets. Flavor wise, I was not disappointed: - My Thai tea macaron ice cream sandwich hit the spot! The macarons did not come apart too easily and I could still maintain the shape of the sandwich throughout. Ice cream consistency is great, and the Thai tea flavor is not too strong. The whole thing is not too sweet by itself either, and this goes for all of their macarons in general. From other visits to their stand during conventions, I recommend their Cap'n Crunch berry, lemon, peach and durian flavors for ice cream sandwiches. - One of my friends and I loved the Vietnamese coffee flavored macaron. Taste is strong like phin-brewed coffee and it didn't have much sweet of a taste, something that would not have done well for this flavor. - The cran-orange and blueberry flavors were our other favorites; both had tastes that reminded me a lot of their respective flavors. - The box also had dark chocolate, vanilla, ube, Thai tea, pistachio and salted caramel flavors. All were decent and tasty. What I like about this place is that the taste for all of their macarons is exactly as advertised and never bogged down by the flavor that macaron shells are usually full of. I can't eat too many of these at once since they can be too sweet over time, so I would save these for a group setting where you can share these. By themselves, they are a great way to get your sweet tooth the love it needs!
