The walls are not insulated enough. There was a guy who was sick and coughing all night, kept us awake. There was a guy in the hallway at 6:00 am having a conversation, which we could easily hear. We have a dog so we had to stay in the restricted rooms. However, the room was not vacuumed at all. The furniture was covered in dog hair so my allergies flared up. The whole hotel was dingy and dirty. read more

The front desk was nice however the hotel had a very nasty smell that carried up throughout every floor. The "fitness" center had only a couple of dumbbells and two cardio machines. Very sad. The worst thing about the hotel was just the nasty smell that lowkey stuck on my clothes. However the water in the shower did heat up fast. The beds were okay. Overall, this is a pretty good hotel to stay at for a short business trip. Cozy atmosphere, super clean rooms, and best of all, breakfast is served really early at 5am. Stayed here for a couple of nights and I was pretty satisfied with it. :) Check in was a breeze and the hotel itself never felt too crowded. Even at breakfast, there were plenty of table space & seats. For the breakfast, one morning = eggs, sausages, waffle station, cereal, etc. Next morning = yummmmy corn dogs (sausages instead of the regular kind) and potatoes. Food was hot and filling. As for the room itself, I got a nice king bed that was comfy and clean. Bathroom was clean and I didn't have much worries over bed bugs or anything like that. If you like to work out or use the spa, it's open at 5am! So really, if you're an early riser, this is a great place to stay at and make the most of your time before working the day away. read more

This was our first experience with La Quinta, and we were highly impressed and satisfied! We travel with a small dog and this particular hotel embraced us and her, even giving her a treat. The hotel was extremely clean and there was lime and lemon infused ice water at the front desk waiting for us as we arrived. Breakfast was amazing and everything was packaged individually. Offerings included more than prepackaged doughnuts as we've seen in so many other places. Takeaway: North Dakota and La Quinta were bastions of normalcy among all the fear we've ran into as we crossed the country. I can't say enough positive things about this place! Thank you! read more

The hotel is nice rooms start off clean but if you are there for more than a night the cleaning people suck halfway through cleaning the rooms, for example, they will make the beds but won't clean the sink or tub read more

Whilst headed back to MN from MT, and after a good 11 hours in the car, we decided to rest for the night before driving on. Access to La Quinta, off the interstate, was easy. Staff was friendly, rooms were super clean and comfy. Breakfast menu - which changes every morning, as someone else noted - was excellent. My mother-in-law booked a block of rooms for the whole family when we all traveled to Dickinson for my husband's grandpa's birthday. We had a great stay and every staff member we came in contact with was helpful and friendly. The whole hotel was very clean. Our rooms were nice and spacious. The complimentary breakfast was a treat each morning, with plenty of options to choose from. On Friday nights they even bring in complimentary pizza from a local pizza joint. My husband worked out in their gym and we enjoyed the hot tub as well. There is also a few convenience stores, bar, & restaurants within walking distance. Great place to stay! read more

You'll probably catch COVID if you stay here. When I walked in, none of the three people at the front desk were wearing masks. Two of them put masks on when they saw me, but the third never put a mask on. Then she walked around the counter and stood right next to me in order to pet my dog without asking. North Dakota has one of the highest transmission rates in the world, and it's especially inexcusable for hotels there to not take this seriously. People making long trips by car usually have no choice but to stay in a hotel, and these people are completely reckless with the health and lives of their guests. Find something on Air BnB instead, or sleep in your car. Staying at this place isn't worth the risk. read more

We stayed here one night and had a fine time. Pretty much your average La Quinta - nothing amazing about it and nothing horrible about it. I was slightly disappointed in the breakfast selection because it wasn't that vast but can't be too upset about that given its complimentary. I would stay here again if I found myself back in Dickinson! read more

Incredibly happy with the pet friendly atmosphere and the customer service was outstanding! I do agree with a prior review that notes the air conditioning in the rooms is definitely lacking and the hair dryer is also pretty disappointing. This hotel was perfect for what we need. Let me count the ways: 1. Great location (but it depends on where you are going). Right off of the interstate. We stayed here while visiting Theodore Roosevelt National Park 2. Great staff - friendly, efficient. 3. Large bathroom counter - room to spread my toiletries out. I hate it when there is no room to put my stuff in the bathroom. 4. Clean - I'm not a white glove inspector, but nothing looked dirty to me. 5. Fast internet - email breezes through and even fast enough to stream video, which is not possible for most hotels of this type. 6. Comfy bed - After all, the reason you are paying for a hotel room instead of camping is to get a great night's sleep. The bed is very comfortable 7. Good quality towels - Many hotels of this class skimp on towel quality. Not here. Very comfortable towels 8. Spacious room - Enough room for a couch / reading chair 9. Good sized desk - to get the work done and have enough space to spread out the gadgets 10. Plenty of outlets - for charging all my gadgets 11. Microwave and fridge in room - To heat the leftovers when I'm hungry 12. Small, but good quality exercise room 13. Convenient laundry 14. Breakfast better than most of this class, but not as good as Hampton Inn (they have freshly cooked hot oatmeal and more selection) 15. I saved the best for last -- Very quiet AC!! Most hotels of this class have AC units that roar like a jet engine. This one was so quiet I often wondered if it was on or off. The AC kept the room very comfortable, at times using heat and sometimes using cool, but in both cases, you can't really hear the unit. Very unusual and I was very pleasantly surprised. Chose La Quinta because we were traveling with a pet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast bar had much variety with some changes each morning. The La Quinta staff is absolutely wonderful. We were in a car accident while passing through North Dakota and had to stay for 3 days while we dealt with rental situations. They were incredibly kind and helpful. We asked for toiletries, they brought us everything you could imagine. We needed to move rooms to make more space, and they cleaned one for us on the spot. The hotel was clean, the breakfast was great, and there's free coffee 24/7. I highly recommend staying here if you find yourself in the town of Dickinson. read more

Best place to stay in Dickinson ND with pets! Staff is great and knowledgable. The breakfast is awesome. Lots to chose from. I liked the protein choices. Eggs sausage cheese and hard boiled eggs. I'm diabetic and that sort of thing is important to me. Plus the staff was generous with the dog treats! I stayed with two medium sized black labs and the room had the right amount of space. read more
