However the hallways are still in need of updates because they have a dank smell. They should also consider upgrading their pillows because they are hard and the cases were a little dingy. This hotel was HORRIBLE!!! Dirty and roaches throughout the hotel even in the free breakfast. I booked a 4 nights in a king suite, upon arrive I was checked into a regular king room that wasn't clean and stained sheets. I was moved another room that was worse and had roaches. I asked for my money back and to just cancel the reservation but the desk person stated that I wouldn't be refunded even though the room wasn't satisfactory. I was forced to stay due to the holiday and all hotels being booked. I finally accepted a room with 2 queen beds that didn't have roaches but wasn't clean. I slept on top of the cover fully dress and kept my bags in the car. The next day I was moved to king suite only to have the sofa look like a crime scene with stains and just dirty. I was moved again to a room that was a little cleaner for the next 3 days of my stay. read more

Saved our behinds! We originally were booked at the Best Western, just a short walk from the La Quinta. About 2 hours after being at the Best Western, we moved to the La Quinta. The hotel has been nicely refurbished, is clean, and was a nice place to stay after a long day's drive. Everything in our room worked and unlike the Best Western, we didn't have critters crawling inside, and the sheets were clean. The receptionists were all very polite and helpful. The breakfast was pretty good and enjoyable. We needed a spare bed, which the young lady at the front desk got to us right away. The bathroom was very clean along with the rest of the room. I would stay here again without hesitation. The money put into this hotel to bring it back up to good standards was well worth it. The only drawback, and not the hotel's fault, is the lack of being in walking distance for any food. The La Quinta also seemed to be much safer than the Best Western or Econolodge just up the street, where drug deals and under the influence individuals seems to hang out. The La Quinta was well lit outside, maintenance, and housekeeping along with all other staff are doing a nice job with this recently refurbished hotel. We stayed one night at this motel. There are many in the area and we picked this one because of the Expedia rating. The rating was high, over 8 on a scale of 10. I don't know how anyone could give them such a high rating. The place is old, and quite dingy. The Saturday breakfast service was minimal and ended at 9:00, too early for a Saturday in my opinion and especially so for a place with such a high rating. I went down at 8:40 and the coffee was gone as were bagels and most everything else. The help staff did replenish the bagels when I asked but not the coffee. There were some positives. We stayed while traveling through to Florida. The hotel is comfortable and clean. The staff were all friendly. We chose it because it is pet friendly. However, it doesn't say on their site the limit is 2. We have 3 - 2 littles and 1 medium. Luckily, they made an exception or we would have been searching late at night for a new hotel. Also, we were driving a Uhaul and a small SUV pulling a utility trailer. Their parking lot is NOT really set up for that. We were lucky they had a low occupancy night or I'm not sure I would have gotten the Uhaul truck out of the lot. I'd stay here again (if I weren't driving a Uhaul or towing a trailer). read more

This was a nice stop over in Macon for a night's rest. The staff was super friendly and helpful with information about the area. The facility was beautiful and nicely decorated. The other guests were friendly also and this is a pet friendly hotel. Good to know. We had no reservations but easily got a room and discount for AARP. Rates were reasonable and also included a nice breakfast bar. They had easy access from #75 and restaurants and gasoline were nearby. I would stay here again for sure. read more

The Macon location just off i475 was just what we needed after a long day in the truck.. a nice clean room, friendly staff and secure parking. The La Quinta chain is pet friendly. So even on Christmas night there was a fair number of four legged guests. No problem. The place was spotless. Our experiences with La Quinta varies. Some of the properties are older in need of a freshening. This motel was recently renovated. The room looked practically new. The only criticism was a rather small tv. Morning brought a breakfast bar. Not sure how that works in these covid times. Other than that, this is a great place to stay. Recommend. read more

We were traveling from Ohio to Florida and this La Quinta was right off the highway. The breakfast and coffee had all the necessities that were perfect for our journey. We definitely feel this hotel is a deal! Especially if you have a dog. No one questions you bringing your dog. We have a 75 pound Labrador and she was warmly welcomed! The hotel is clean. The rooms are adequate, nothing special. But you definitely will not feel that you are in a scuzzy place. Quite frankly, for $100 this was a heck of a bargain. Dog friendly hotel ! We were just passing thru and needed a place for the night with our 40 pound Duck Toller. This affordable hotel was very accommodating to us and our pet. They had dog biscuits at the check in desk. They have a nice well lit, grassy area to walk your dogs. The best rooms for people with dogs are rooms 110-115 because these rooms are close to the door that leads out to the dog walk area. Very easy to get to, comfortable beds, sparkly clean! Allows pets FOR FREE. Located near a gas station and has a pool. Has free breakfast but it wasn't anything spectacular...just a typical hotel breakfast. There is a patio in the back...a nice touch! The woodsy area behind the hotel provided for a very quiet night and a good nights rest. The woman at check in was very sweet and accommodating. Offers a military discount. Downside...they did not have any hair conditioner and the toiletry samples were very small...only enough for one person. Also, only one packet of coffee (with caffeine) in the room. It would be nice if they gave more. There's a small garden in the back of hotel. While I wasn't sure who it belonged to, it was interesting to see. read more

After repeated calls, being ignored by the property, including the general manager of this property, called Expedia to ask for refund, Expedia called the property for permission to refund and the property refused on 2/2/22. My two dogs got fleas from the room and then my sisters two dogs got fleas, one being an elderly dog. Stay was Dec 15 to 17. This property is trash. If you see their responses on Google review saying they will improve know that this is disingenuous judging from above experience. read more

Purchased on Expedia for one night. Said it's dog friendly. Always stayed at them with our dog. 2 days later an extra $25 charge. Talked to the manager and she said that I signed for the charge. I told her that before it was if your dog destroyed something. Also, before,if a service dog,also, no charge. The manager was argumentative and hung up. You can't get your money back once you book, so be aware that they are charging this extra amount as they don't say on the web site. Not happy! We have always stayed at them and were never charged. I am a gold member for LaQuinta. We are very pleased with our room. We had two queen size beds and our room is clean. We like cold air and we were able to get it to 69. Our room had a good smell and our beds were clean and comfy. Now we are all rested to go eat lunch and go to a wedding. I will bookmark this motel because it is a good one. I had to do an update this morning. I was blow drying my hair and the dryer started smoking and shut off and hot very red. My husband call t he front desk and they came up with a new one in the box and put it in. Great job! I was able to get my hair done. Now that is customer service. read more

Where do I start? OK, first of all, only two baggage carts available for guest use? This is unacceptable. Secondly, our room was sorely in need of an update. The carpeting was torn in places and appeared dirty. Beyond that, in spite of the fact that this hotel is pet friendly, out room should not have smelled like a dog kennel. Some air freshener and a better cleaning between guests would have made a big difference. Won't be staying here again and certainly won't recommend to others. read more

There are many hotels in the area and we chose La Quinta because several reviews mentioned comfortable bed. They weren't kidding!! I ended up pulling up the sheets to see what kind of mattress it was because it was THAT comfortable. Positive things comfortable bed, easy access from the highway, good breakfast Negative Air conditioner did not work. After 4 calls and a stop at the front desk they sent a man up. He got it running again, but stopped after an hour. Restarted, then stopped again. They refused to move us. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. Carpets throughout the building were filthy. The rest of the room was clean enough, but with no air and a dirty carpet we were miserable from the heat and the smell. Do your self a favor, find another place to stay. read more

A horrible example of a LaQuinta which we are forced to often stay in due to a pet. Rock hard, yet lumpy beds - incredibly uncomfortable. Strong deodorizer masking musty pet odors. Bathroom vent system inop. First refrigerator inop, second one they brought made such a loud noise we had to unplug it and throw away our food next morning. Enough said... I might have given this hotel a high 3 or 4, but when I was leaving the hotel, I asked for a copy of my bill. The clerk informed me that there was no way she could do that because I booked through Expedia (I booked through hotwire. I told her I always like to have a final print of the bill just to make sure there were no incidentals or other charge that should not of been. She told me I would have to get that from Expedia. I explained that if there were any irregularities I would deal through it with it right then but she refused to give me a copy of the bill. This makes me very suspicious of a hotel because if they can't show me what they've done on their end then why should I trust him at all. It's too bad because my check-in was fine the room was OK I didn't have any problems until I tried to leave and could not get the bill. read more

I was pleasantly surprised. I'm a hotel snob. My family with our golden retriever was driving to Florida and needed a break around 2am. This was a pet friendly, safe and clean place to crash for a few hours. The positive reviews were right! This was an excellent experience. Breakfast was nothing great...your typical free, hot breakfast - those weirdly textured buffet scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, make-your-own mini Belgians, cereal, yogurt, cheap fruit and pastries. Nothing great, but certainly good enough. Breanna at the front desk was awesome and provided outstanding customer service. Nita was nice, too. Could not tell it was pet friendly, as the entire place was exceptionally clean. The dog liked, it, we were comfortable and it was a great value, especially considering it's right off the highway. Due to a death in the family, my husband and I were, unfortunately, required to travel on Super Bowl Sunday. Being a huge football fan, I was truly chagrined at the prospect of driving to Florida from Indiana in one day, (15 hrs), which we'd normally do. Instead, we decided at the last minute to make a hotel reservation at about the half way point so we could watch my game. We chose LaQuinta because we'd been told by friends that it was dog-friendly, and we have two very small dogs. We couldn't be happier. The hotel was IMMACULATE. Our room is perfect and spotless. There is a clearly designated doggy area with a trash can and pick-up bags. It is located far enough off of I-75 to be extremely quiet. There is a nice pool and work out room. We ordered a pizza delivery and are set for the night. Don't know about breakfast, but I'm confident it'll be great. Couldn't be happier. read more
