We were elated to find a Taco San Pedro in Oklahoma City !!
    Julie B.

50 stars for Taco San Pedro !! So I grew up in Hawaiian Gardens, where the OG one started. I have been having Taco San Pedro for over 20+ years. When I go back to HG, me & the family STILL pick up TSP. We ALWAYS order their flautas. They have THEE best flautas. So for me HG has amazing chicken ones, but here in Oklahoma City, the carne asada are better. We travel America in an RV, and NEVER in our wildest dreams would we have thought there's TSP outside of California. We came here and had asked, Huh, is this the same TSP in HG? The owner heard us and said Yes! That one was my dad's restaurant. We order flautas, extra queso, as usual, yumm, they were just like the ones back home. The owner was such a sweetheart!! He sat & we talked about his dad & the restaurant. We told him his flautas were the best we've ever had. NO ONE else is putting lettuce, creama, queso, guacamole on top. I usually buy one plain taco to mop up the "salad" after I'm done with the flautas. This was such a joy to find !!!

This was my first coming here! I ordered a torta with asada beef. She brought out my plate and I took a bite and it was carnitas. I told the lady and she took it back to change it. She came back with the same torta and said it was asada. The prices were super high and I will not be returning.

A great place with great portions! My friend took me here, and though it is a Mexican establishment, the person taking our order was English-speaking which was helpful with my poor Spanish. I ordered the carne asada nachos, and it was so much food! The chips were fresh, and they did not skimp on the toppings. There was a lot of seating available, and it seems as though the lines here get pretty long. I definitely will be back, and I cannot wait to try something different.

PERRON!! (Badass!!) food is very authentic, took me back to my childhood days. Ordered the Desayuno , Huevos con Chorizo, asked for tortillas de harina and paired it with a Mexican Coke. Quick service, clean environment, friendly staff. Muy delicioso la verdad. But you should try it for yourself.

Lengua taco. I'll pass next time. 1/14/23.

There seemed to be a good variety of options here for anyone adventurous or not. I partly judge a Mexican restaurant by their salsa and theirs was good but not near spicy enough for me. Overall, not to bad.

So good! I always try to mix it up when I order. The Wifey orders the same thing every time. But each thing I have ordered is always delicious!! The lobby is open for dine in (yay!) and everything is super clean and bright. It's so fun to eat inside bc it's colorful and just a happy place! Wifey tip: you can get your food to go and have a picnic!

Great little taco & more place in South OKC. Good portions, friendly people & the food tasted great. They don't take Amex, but other than that it was a great find. Worth stopping by.

Rice & beans, beef flautas, tacos (carnitas and carne asada).

Great find! We tried delicious, authentic tacos - both carne asada and pork carnitas - and beef flautas. We had a side of rice and frijoles as well. Everything was fabulous and flavorful. We enjoyed both kinds of tacos with the carnitas being the slight favorite due to intense flavor. Prices were excellent (flautas were $7.50, tacos about $2.90 each and we ordered 4). This is not a typical Tex mex restaurant - it's the real deal, so don't expect complimentary chips and salsa, and be ready to order at the counter when you walk in. It was totally worth the drive for us and we'll be back soon for more delicious tacos and more!

Bean & cheese gordita (10/10), red cheese enchilada (10/10), burrito & torta. Horchata. Not pictured: Jamaica drink.

This is the best mexican food I have ever had. I'm not even exaggerating. Unbelievable. I got the gordita (bean and cheese). The masa was orange and flavorful and extremely tasty alongside the warm beans and gooey cheese. Like a warm hug from grandma. I couldn't resist so also got an individual cheese enchilada with red sauce. It wasn't soaking in sauce but the corn tortilla was cooked in the red sauce giving it the most amazing indescribable flavor (the queso fresco was an excellent touch). I got the Jamaica drink I get everywhere but theirs unfortunately wasn't good at all so I traded my husband for his horchata. The horchata was wonderful. It's clearly homemade and not a watered down drink mix like most places I get it from. Creamy and not overly sweet with the right amount of cinnamon. I also watched the guy clean the tables very thoroughly as everyone around us left. Very comforting to see! The music wasn't blaring like most Mexican restaurants, the food got out in a timely manner, and the tv was playing some traveling youtuber. Very cool place! Other than it being a bit too chilly in there and being sad over the Jamaica - this was overall the best Mexican food place I've ever been to in my life and I honestly hope more than anything to go back at least a few more times! Keep doing what you're doing there, 10/10 could not recommend this any more that I do!

It arrived as this dramatic, beautifully constructed tower of mixed seafood topped with avocado and a whole shrimp--definitely a dish that makes an entrance. The seafood seemed fresh, but I discovered that this particular style of mixed mariscos just isn't for me. Some of the seafood had a gray, translucent appearance and texture that I personally didn't enjoy. That may simply be characteristic of the preparation rather than any problem with the dish. I only tried this one item, so I don't think it would be fair to judge the kitchen more broadly based on my personal preference. What I can comment on much more definitively is the noise. It was extraordinarily loud. I eventually pulled out my phone and measured the sound level because I genuinely wanted to know whether it was as loud as it felt. I recorded levels exceeding 100 dB, with peaks around 103 dB. The staff couldn't have been friendlier. Unfortunately, I could barely hear them. I enjoy energetic restaurants and certainly don't expect dinner to take place in a library. But there's a point where "lively atmosphere" becomes something prospective customers deserve to know about before deciding where to spend an evening. This crossed that line for me. If a very high-energy, extremely loud environment is your thing, you may have a completely different experience. If you're hoping to have a conversation over dinner without shouting across the table, I'd choose accordingly. Friendly staff, impressively presented food, and a seafood dish that simply wasn't my jam. But the volume overwhelmed everything else about the experience--and at 103 dB, that's not background music. That's the main course.

It was very busy when we walked in but there was no wait. We were thankfully seated immediately and started off with chips and salsa. The chips were nice and crispy, but the salsa was mediocre. The tomatoes tasted canned. While I can totally get the efficiency behind using canned tomatoes for a busy restaurant, the taste is not preferred. The kids chicken quesadilla plate was a good amount of food! I just wish the quesadilla was already sliced as it was for our 3 year old. The chicken was also bland. Again, the portions were great. My son ordered the Burrito La Herencia with ground beef and this was seasoned well. Again, great portions of beans, rice & main dish. No complaints with this one! My spouse ordered the La Herencia fajita special and felt as if it was lacking. The steak pieces were minuscule and the shrimp was bland and undercooked. The pork chop was thinly sliced which was nice but VERY salty. We were wishing for more peppers and onions as well. Overall this dish was salty, but tolerable! It came with a side plate of rice, beans, pico de gallo, guac, sour cream & lettuce. Served with flour tortillas. We ordered the queso & guac while we were looking at the menu and waiting. I personally did not enjoy the queso. It was thick and had an artificial mouth feel. The guac was decent! Bland overall but I love the taste of avocado. I wish it had more lime and seasoning though since it was supposed to be Guacamole and not avocado dip. I ordered the Steak Mexicano with extra jalapeños and this was very good. Still on the salty side but I enjoy things on a SLIGHTLY saltier range. My spouse thought the steak was TOO salty. The peppers, onions, and tomatoes were nicely sautéed and seasoned. The rice here is also DELICIOUS. I hate a bland Mexican rice. The beans were good too but nothing to write home about. I do wish I was offered a side of corn tortillas. Overall this experience was okay! Not the worst but definitely not the best. The restaurant was beautifully decorated but there was a noticeable lack of music. We were sat listening to the chatter of all the different customers and kitchen noises. We did have the option of booth or table AND they have boosters seats/ high chairs upon request.
