We bought our wedding rings here 30 years ago and love them. Mario designed them. We bring them in every once in a while for cleaning and for him to check the prongs. One of the prongs holding my husband's diamond was broken off so he replaced that one. He also sized my ring. When we purchased our rings, Mario showed us several options and did not pressure us. We FINALLY found our forever jewelers. Let me tell you...this was NO easy task. Save yourself the trouble my fiance and I went through and choose these guys. You will be hard pressed to find more honest, professional, kind, and timely jewelers. I am certain you will love them from the moment you meet them. Mario and Bryan saved the day. My future MIL gifted my fiance and me with a gorgeous center stone to be used in our engagement ring. We began the hunt to find the perfect setting and as my luck would have it, the ring I fell in love with required us to purchase an unneeded center stone. We were unable to find any other setting that we liked more so we decided to explore the option of having a custom ring designed. We thought it would be fun to seize the opportunity to make even a few revisions to our original inspiration and have a one of a kind piece. We started with another local jeweler which turned in to a three month nightmare. Worst. Experience. Ever. After finally calling it quits with the first guy we made our way through SIX other local jewelers in hopes of finding someone we felt comfortable enough to work with. These others either felt super slimy, were WAY over-priced, clearly did not do their own work, or gave us the run-around. We were feeling defeated and were strongly considering giving up and placing my stone in a solitaire so that way we could at least move on to the next chapter in our relationship. We figured we could always consider designing something in the future. I am SO thankful that my fiance decided to give just one more jeweler a try and even more thankful we stumbled upon Bryan and Mario. Truthfully, I didn't have a lot of hope as I made a lot of assumptions about them being in Carmel. They proved every single one of those assumptions wrong and were a breath of fresh air from the moment we walked through the doors. We were greeted with such warmth and at no point felt that slimy, salesman-y vibe that we got from so many others. They took a genuine interest in our story and even stayed after their closing time to view our inspiration pictures, discuss design ideas, and show us our center stone under the microscope. By the end of the conversation they provided us with a price quote and a clear timeline and encouraged us to discuss it privately as a couple to determine if we wanted to work with them. As soon as my fiance and I were out of earshot of the store our "play it cool" facade broke down and I'm sure we looked like two giddy little kids jumping for joy that we had finally found our jewelers. Not only did Mario and Bryan beat everyone else's price (substaintially!) but their interpersonal style and professionalism won us over. Bryan and Mario were incredibly communicative throughout the whole process and made sure that we were completely happy with the design before moving forward. Not only did they complete the ring in LESS time than they estimated but they also honored the original price quote despite some design changes that they could have justified increasing the price for. They proved to go above and beyond for us again on the day we came to pick up the ring. My fiance was stuck in horrible traffic and they kindly stayed (again) after closing time so that he could be present for the "first reveal." It is clear that they care about us as people and took just as much joy in giving us the ring as we did in receiving it. The final result is even more beautiful than I ever could have imagined and I have already gotten numerous compliments in the short time that I have been wearing it. My fiance and I are fortunate to live locally and look forward to taking Bryan and Mario up on their offer to do regular cleanings and inspections. I feel totally comfortable with their ongoing care of this beautiful piece and we ABSOLUTELY plan to continue to work with Bryan and Mario in the future. A friend of mine is already in the process of having her own ring designed by them per my recommendation. She, too, couldn't be happier. I really wanted to give this jewelry store my money but, on both occasions, I was treated so rudely that I could not, in all good faith, do so. During my first visit, I was shooed away for admiring the outside window displays and, on my second visit, I was waved away as I tried to enter the store. I am clean, well-spoken, well-educated, and well- traveled. I have vacationed for years in Carmel By The Sea with the woman I love and we have done business with many of the stores up and down Ocean Avenue.
